    Storekeeper - JHB

    Purpose of the Job

    Receive, Store, Pack and deliver material to ensure project satisfaction (material availability). In charge of physical material flow (goods reception, warehousing, line replenishment, packaging, shipping).

    Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12 or N3 Certificate.
    • 2-3 Years’ experience working in stores.
    • Valid Fork-Lift Truck certification
    • IT literate with knowledge of Word, Excel and ERP.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Apply the businesses’ processes and best practices in the following areas:
    • Reception
    • Stores
    • Operation line replenishment
    • Inventory counting
    • Packaging
    • Shipment
    • IT tools for Warehouses
    • Apply the appropriate methodologies to improve the performance of the Warehouses and Operation delivery (APSYS)

    Master Data Lead - NIgel

    Purpose of the Job

    • Performs professional procurement work in the areas of collecting and analyzing data, developing internal KPI’s, preparing materials for supplier meetings and negotiations, communicating with suppliers and sites, supporting contingency planning and recommendations and tracking and monitoring procurement performance
    • Accountable for maintaining supplier master data.

    Measurements:

    Performance will be measured against the quantitative and qualitative business plan targets for the relevant department.

    Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

    Tasks & Responsibilities:

     Research internal and external data to support the strategic sourcing process:

    • Responsible to  analyze and report on Procurement data, track costs and evaluate supplier performance.
    • Identify the right sources of information (new providers, study centers, interviews, queries…) and set up the channels to get the right information to the right person
    • Collect data (spend, industry, market, suppliers, product/service…)

    Conduct analysis on industry, customer requirements and suppliers:

    • Examining data regarding the cost and availability of materials and services that are needed to complete projects
    • Develop industry cost bar, industry structure
    • Analyze customer requirements (measure customer value, Total Cost of Ownership calculation)
    • Perform Supplier analysis

     Attend to negotiation and contracting process in order to learn the process and the techniques:

    • Capture Contract Key Performance Indicators data (if needed run queries)
    • Collect and consolidate Contract Key Performance Indicators results
    • Identify potential contract improvement opportunities
    • Take corrective actions related to internal customer
    • Provide feedback to internal customers
    • Develops, implements and maintains master data frameworks, guidelines, benchmarking tools and methodologies.
    • Develops and implements Procurement Operations standards, templates in accordance with the Procurement strategic intent.
    • Conducts research on leading practices, benchmarks, trends, systems and processes in support of master data objectives.
    • Identifies developments, trends in national and international industry and manages the implementation of these in the Procurement department.
    • Researches universal master data standards ,keeps abreast and adheres to the standards.
    • Responsible for collating, updating and maintaining Procurement Operations master data.

    • Ensures integrity of master data and addresses data requirements regarding system material master data.

    Educational Requirements

    • Degree in procurement, supply chain, project management or other business related field

    Technical Knowledge / Experience

    • 2-3 years of experience in Procurement
    • Experience in Procure to Pay platforms such as ARIBA & SAP
    • Has an experience in standard Problem Solving approach
    • Strong inter-personal skill in multi-cultural environment
    • Ability to analyse technical data, High numerical / statistically ability
    • Fluent English is essential

    HOD Process & Manufacturing Engineering _ JHB

    Purpose of the Job:

    • Organize the industrial development activities to ensure process design is optimization in order to reach the productivity and quality targets, 100% compliant with EHS guidelines, and fully addressing the ramp-up challenges
    • Close all the transfer of technologies topics, especially linked to the ramp-up phase
    • Ensure applications of industrial best practices as defined in APSYS or GSI/MES standard rules (including manufacturing department and logistics department) during the ramp-up period, enforcing proper application of the flows and the methods.
    • Organize the co-engineering and industrial development to ensure product and process design are optimized for manufacturability.
    • Ensure the transferability of the industrial activities by using standard processes
    • Drive industrialization resources in the tenders, development phase, pre-serial phase and serial production phase.

    Key responsibilities include the following:

    • Ensure the adherence to the standard processes and the standard product solutions
    • Ensure the manufacturability using validated technologies
    • Transfer of technologies methodology and rules are followed-up to optimize lead time and quality of development
    • Validate, for the industrial scope, the gate reviews of the DFQ, and that the conditions to pronounce the Serial Go are fulfilled
    • Ensure documentation and ERP data are complete, on time and with the good level of quality
    • Organise and ensure the implementation of manufacturing equipment on time, in line with EHS rules, with good ergonomic conditions, and compliant with the QCD targets of the project.
    • Animate and coordinate on a day-to-day basis coordination of all industrial activities (including manufacturing department and logistics department) during the ramp-up period enforcing proper application of the flows and the methods
    • Drive continuous improvement actions and support production.

    Management of Resources

    • Manage the staff capacity and competencies
    • Control the actual and forecasted workload
    • Manage the EHS requirements in the field of industrialization, and as management committee member.

    Participate to the PME Networks -

    • Contributes to build or improve standards
    • Ensure good participation of his collaborators to the relevant networks

    Requirements:

    • Degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent
    • 8 years Manufacturing  experience  in which 4 years must be in management
    • Solid proven track record managing industrial tasks, working at a similar level and within a manufacturing environment
    • Good people management experience
    • Adequate knowledge of industry technical expertise
    • Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity etc.
    • Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
    • Strong team building, decision-making and people management

    Field Modifications Operator(KZN)

    The successful candidate will be reporting directly to the Team Leader - Services.

    The purpose of the role is to apply modifications in manufactured Rolling Stock units already delivered by factory following the Field Modification Instruction (FMI) documents and complying with Gibela industrial and quality process. 

    The successful candidate will from time to time be required to travel to all different depots across the country to apply modifications.

    Requirements:

    • Grade 12 or N3 Certificate
    • Trade Tested - Mechanical or Electrical 
    • Industrial and technical background with 2 to 5 years’ experience preferably from working in a railway or similar industry
    • Working knowledge of Quality and Health & Safety standards and systems 

    Measurement:

    • Achievement EHS zero accident and respect EHS policies
    • Achievement of QCD Commitments and respect Quality policies
    • Continuous improvement of tasks executions
    • Respect of timeframe for modification implementation
    • Customer acceptance and quality level of implemented modification
    • Ability to train others
    • Autonomous

    Responsibilities:

    • Implementation of modifications in Rolling Stock units according to the modification file, in line with Company procedures especially in relation to Industrial and Quality
    • Undertake reworks, retrofits, repairs and/or other kinds of works to perform outside manufacturing facility as specified by the Manager according to Organization Chart
    • Carry out such work in accordance with strict Health & Safety procedures as laid down by legislation and the Company Health & Safety policies
    • Ensure all correct tools are available prior the works, validity and certification of relevant tools
    • Ensure all correct materials, components and parts prior the works are available
    • Populate relevant modification follow-up data base
    • Guarantee information flow within the field modification team
    • Perform quality self-control
    • Write a clear and detailed report on the work done (Job card)
    • Drive company vehicles when required and applicable
    • Attend regular team briefings
    • Read reports and manuals as and when required
