    Partner Development Sales Consultant

    Summary

    This position requires a knowledgeable and experienced business development professional to increase Impro’s sales opportunities within the Fortune 1000/Global 500 End-user communities from different vertical markets, system integrators as well as with consultants/engineers/specifiers/End Users.  The actions of this position will result in Impro being the “Trusted Advisor” to both the End-user, Influencer/Consultant and Installer communities, creating pull through sales value to the supply channel for Impro solutions and services. The candidate must have track record at prospecting and specifying.

    Duties and Responsibilities 

    Include the following, other duties may be assigned:

    • Identify, prioritize, schedule, pursue, and secure strategic End-user opportunities to promote the expansion and convergence of current and future Impro technologies within their facilities, Implement the group’s programs: identify, prioritize, schedule, pursue, and secure strategic End-user, consultant and installer opportunities to promote the expansion and convergence of current and future Impro technologies within their facilities.
    • Conduct End-user, consultant and installer/Influencer focus groups & seminars to better understand the required features & functions of future technologies.
    • Provide End-user, consultant and installer program presentations during “face to face” introductory meetings.
    • Develop and schedule the deployment of required End-user, consultant and installer programs to address individual needs.
    • Identify & understand the business models of the key accounts as it relates to security. 
    • Provide educational/awareness briefings for End-users, Consultants and installers to reinforce Impro’s role as “Trusted Advisor”.
    • Interface collaborate, and communicate effectively with other departments and business units in support of Impro’s goals.
    • Maintain a high degree of industry solution knowledge. 
    • Regular travel might be required throughout South Africa, with a small degree of international travel. The employee should have a valid passport and driver’s license.
    • Attend applicable industry tradeshows, meetings and other events.  Participate in applicable End-user and Influencer seminars and conferences.
    • Identify and co-ordination tender responses in conjunction with the engineering team and product managers.
    • Assist customers (Integrators, Consultants and End Users) with A&E Specifications, BOQ’s and System Design’s
    • Continuously manages administrative functions to ensure quality and timeliness, manages accurate and timely sales activity and performance reports, analyses report data to project trends and build forecasts, maintains accurate and complete prospect and client database.

    Qualifications 

    • Effective understanding and experience with the corporate culture, environment, and decision processes.
    • Effective communications skills with corporate management and executive personnel.
    • Effective understanding of consultant/specifier/designer culture and environment. 
    • Proficient technical and application knowledge of Physical Access Control and/or Smart Card market to support the role of “Trusted Advisor” to End-user and Consultant communities.  
    • Gain Level 1, 2 and 3 Portal Certification “Requirement”

    Experience     

    • Minimum of 5-7 years access control sales experience, with at least 3 years revenue cycle experience.  Revenue integrity solutions preferred.
    • Demonstrated understanding and application of complex sales techniques and track record creating, negotiating and closing large-scale deal
    • Demonstrated effectiveness in prospecting and developing new business.
    • Good organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines; detail oriented.
    •   Ability to work effectively in a home-based environment.

    Administration

    • Maintain efficient paperwork.
    • Keep and update all records daily.
    • Sales bulletin, routine reports. CRM/Salesforce, smart sheets.
    • Complete activity reports weekly

    Computer Skills      

    • Must be proficient in MS Office applications, such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook etc.
    • Should be familiar with the Microsoft Windows operating system.
    • Experience in project management tools, such as MS Project would be advantageous. 
    • Experience in CRM would be advantageous.

    Firmware Engineer

    Summary

    As Embedded Firmware Engineer you will work in a close-knit team to deliver new secure applications for a variety of product variants. You will get to work in a fast-paced, cutting-edge environment with a group of highly skilled and enthusiastic engineers. You will be responsible for design and development of new applications, enhancing existing applications, solving problems, and resolving defects. The Engineer will review requirements, develop the architecture and design of features (including the relevant documentation), develop application prototypes, participate in design and code reviews, and write code (including unit tests). The candidate must be able to become proficient on new task domains quickly, demonstrate technical excellence in his/her personal work as well as contribute to the team's continued success by sharing technical knowledge. An ideal candidate should have open mind set, be flexible, focused on quality and open to switching to different projects. Our culture is characterized by short decision paths, clear targets and team spirit. We work in multinational environment so fluent English in speaking and writing is a must. 

    Responsibilities 

    • Design and implementation of new secure embedded firmware applications in C, C++, and other languages 
    • Develop low level interfaces (GPIO, UART, I2C, SPI)
    • Develop in bare-metal, RTOS and embedded Linux environments
    • Consult with other engineers to evaluate interfaces between hardware & embedded solutions and operational & performance requirements of the overall system 
    • Prepare, present, and participate in technical discussions and code reviews
    • Give and receive constructive criticism
    • Contribute to the continued development of processes to improve the efficiency and quality of development projects; assist in formulating standards and development practices to improve our development processes
    • Investigate and analyze reported defects to resolve them in a timely manner 
    • Work in a Scaled Agile Framework

     Desired Skills & Experience  

    • Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
    • +3 years of hands-on code development 
    • Applied experience with C and C++ in an embedded Linux environment
    • Experience with bare-metal, RTOS and embedded Linux development
    • Familiarity with bug tracking tools (particularly Jira) 
    • Working knowledge of source code management and configuration
    • General knowledge of test frameworks and automated build systems (e.g. Jenkins, NUnit, NAnt) 
    • Ability to complete design related tasks on time with minimal supervision 
    • Some exposure of development through the entire life-cycle including design, architecture, and implementation 
    • Ability to write safe and performant code
    • Analytical, planning, problem solving and decision-making skills 
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills 
    • Comfortable working with in-circuit emulators, GNU toolchains, gdb and cmake

    Preference will be given to candidates with:

    • Experience with Secure Elements, RFID, NFC, HCE or Bluetooth technologies
    • Worked within a Scaled Agile Framework
    • Ability to effectively use and operate oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, etc.
    • An understanding of crypto-blocks (DES/AES/RSA/ECC), security protocols suite, and overall firmware security best practices
    • Experience with Node.js, Rust and/or golang
    • Familiarity with test driven development
