    Technician - Lichtenburg


    Key Performance Areas

    • Understand and implement preventative maintenance
    • Identify and target opportunity for customer work
    • Fault finding
    • Assemble IC and Electric machines in accordance with BHBW and Hyster standards
    • Fit Telematics black boxes to the machines
    • Assist with the loading and unloading of containers
    • Partake in new machine stock take as and when required
    • Complete the PDI process and sign off new machines
    • Understanding of supplier warranty systems, policies & procedures
    • Quickly and efficiently diagnose machine systems and carry out repairs, services, and maintenance on forklifts on customer sites or at BHBW site
    • Provide mentorship to apprentices assigned to you
    • Maintain professional image when representing BHBW
    • Control own admin (labour booking, service reports, part returns, expenses etc.)
    • Follow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards of own work are consistently and accurately maintained
    • Maintain a safe working environment (according to safety policy and procedures)
    • Adherence to any reasonable instruction

    Qualification, Experience and Competencies

    Minimum Qualification

    • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
    • Qualified in relevant trade (e.g., Diesel Mechanic)
    • Driver’s license – Code B
    • Valid forklift license

    Minimum Experience

    • Experience on working of forklifts and earth moving equipment
    • 3-4 Years in the same position

    Competencies

    • Sound interpersonal and communication skills
    • Basic trouble shooting and problem-solving skills
    • Machine specific technical knowledge and skills
    • Technical report writing
    • Basic business and financial understanding
    • Applicable product knowledge
    • Customer orientation
    • Able to work under without supervision
    • Good knowledge of Hydraulics
    • Willingness to work overtime and standby
    • Good auto electrical knowledge would be an advantage

    Credit Control Team Leader

    Key Performance Areas

    • Maximise collections by monitoring and reporting on all overdue amounts and queries and report the same to the National Credit Manager
    • Follow up with controllers on unresolved aged queries and escalate to the National Credit Manager
    • Reduce Days Sales Outstanding through overseeing accurate payment allocation and clearing of the debtors ledger
    • Reduce bad debt by negotiating on payment arrangements and drawing up of Acknowledgement of debt
    • Ensure paperwork is prepared for handover when legal action is required and manage all pre-legal to legal accounts reporting
    • Assist team with problematic accounts by monitoring and reporting on the debtors’ book for all active accounts
    • Monitor and report on the credit control activities and performances
    • Maintain good relationship between internal stakeholders (Debtors, Sales, and Operations)
    • Follow up on non-compliance - resolve through direct interaction with customers, Sales Managers, and relevant departments
    • Assist the National Credit manager with monthly management reports
    • Support credit controllers daily and train new team members
    • Identify and recommend areas / ways to improve processes
    • Credit Controller relief, full function, during leave periods
    • Improve customer experience

    Qualification, Experience and Competencies

    Minimum Qualification

    • Grade 12

    Minimum Experience

    • Minimum 5 years full function credit control experience
    • Proven experience of collections with exposure to high volume queries
