    Senior Analyst

    Job description

    Job Purpose

    To deliver data analysis and critical insights into pharmacy related products and pricing, that supports the business to make informed decisions and improve opportunities to increase profits.

    Job Objectives

    • To perform analysis and provide in depth insights on pharmaceutical data (pricing, dispensing fees, products etc.) that will assist management in making effective decisions that maximises business performance and profit.
    • To conduct in-depth analysis on medical aid performance in order to provide the Executive team with relevant information in order to negotiate new dispensing fees.
    • To develop reports that can be used to assist management in tracking the overall financial impact of decisions.
    • To provide analysis of data as required so as to build business cases for system or operational procedure changes or enhancements, with costs and/or possible return on investment.
    • To understand business requirements and needs and advise the best way to fulfil these through data driven insights.
    • To investigate and recommend potential solutions through computer software, coding or mathematical models to test variables and scenarios
    • To clearly articulate business insights to stakeholders and translate findings into actionable solutions that complies with Group and regulatory standards.
    • To maintain a comprehensive understanding of business processes and practices pertaining to all aspects of pharmacy retail operations within the Group.

    Job Experience

    • 5 years data analytic and insights reporting
    • 5 years database reporting
    • 1-2 years Healthcare experience (Desirable)

    Education

    • 3 year degree/diploma (B.Comm or equivalent with economics, statistics, research or a related field) Essential

    Application Manager

    Job description

    Overview

    An exciting opportunity has become available for an Application Manager to work within the Group IT department. The role will be based at the Head Office in Cape Town and will report to IT Solutions Delivery Executive.

    Purpose and Objectives

    Job Purpose

    The incumbent will be expected to take responsibility for supervising and jointly (with two other Application Managers) coordinating the analysis, evaluation, development, testing, implementation and support of complex computer software applications across various Clicks areas

    Job Objectives

    • Assist in shaping business and IT strategy to ensure the IT Application teams have the appropriate resources within the relevant IT-budget to support business and IT innovation
    • Assume management responsibility for the analysis, evaluation, development, testing, support and implementation of complex computer software applications for the Clicks Business units
    • Establish project time lines and identify project tasks and procedures needed during the SDLC
    • Manage and participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies and priorities for assigned programs.
    • Recommend, develop and administer policies and procedures
    • Ensure effective support delivery and excellent customer service of business application services to the business in support of business processes
    • Create a conducive environment for a high performing driven team that works in an integrated manner with partners and suppliers. This is to be delivered within the HR transformation guidelines
    • Implement system changes through automation, process change, management solutions and training
    • Coordinate diagnostic investigations of program errors and implement or recommend solutions or methodologies for resolution
    • Oversee the standardization of various documentation including, program documentation, process and user manuals, presentations, strategic and technical plans and other related information on assigned application analyses
    • Ensures quality and timely solutions.
    • Negotiate and manage vendor contracts for Information Technology services (including SLA’s, RFP

    Requirements

    Qualifications and Experience

    Essential

    • B degree or 3 year diploma in information technology or other related subject (essential)
    • On-going IT/Management training record
    • Strong people management skills
    • Strong demonstrable project delivery background
    • Proven collaborative approach to delivery
    • Strong negotiation capabilities

    Desirable

    • 7+ years IT application development management experience
    • Project management experience
    • Retail (Including ecommerce), Pharmacy and supply chain experience within IT
    • DevOps knowledge and execution experience
