    Field Service Technicican

    Main Responsibilities or Functions of Job (describe Major Responsibilities)

    1. To perform Field Service work, including scheduled services and breakdown repairs, on Epiroc equipment
    2. Fault find, perform root cause analysis and rectify issue
    3. To market and promote Field Service work and other Aftermarket services and products to customers to support business growth of the Aftermarket Department
    4. To assist with sub-assembly repairs and machine rebuilds in the Workshops when required
    5. Write reports of cause of faults and develop preventative measure
    6. To assist at Service Contracts with machine services and breakdown repairs when required
    7. To take responsibility for the safe storage and maintenance of the company’s vehicles and equipment in your care
    8. Work well in a team to drive a successful output the meets customer requirements.
    9. Be responsible to ensure your medical & inductions are kept up to date.
    10. Accurate completion and timeous submittal of Time sheets.
    11. Accurate and detailed completion of service reports and site reports.
    12. Following of Epiroc Policies and procedures.
    13. Expected to assist in other areas/divisions in the company when needed.
    14. Ensure that the Field Service vehicle is kept in a well maintained and presentable manner.
    15. Ensure that the company’s tools & equipment is used properly and is kept in a good working condition.

    Required Skills and Capabilities

    1. Technical knowledge of Epiroc products such as RCS control system, PV-275, PV-351, DM30, DM45, DML, T45 and D65
    2. Experience in Customer Service and good interpersonal skills
    3. Good planning and organizational skills
    4. Ability to work unsupervised at set standards
    5. Willingness to travel as and when required in the performance of your duties and training
    6. Valid driver’s license
    7. Valid passport
    8. Willing to rotate shifts and work standby with team members
    9. Needs to be computer literate.
    10. Good telephone manners and skills.
    11. Be presentable to customers in grooming and dress code

    Educational Qualification  :           

    Grade 12 with suitable trade qualification

    Technical Qualification, N4 and/orN5 and/or N6

    3. Investigate Potential with customers for multi-Brand products offerings
    4. Review sales Data, analyze and record lost sales to increase customer share takes by offering multi-Brand Products
    5. Analyze and evaluate current PSD products range to develop / expand the multi-Brand product portfolio
    6. Increase sales presence on competition equipment through Every part/ Multi Brand
    7. Constantly explore for prospects and subsequently increase customer share thru Multi Brand products on competition Equipment
    8. Create consistent methodology for multi-Brand product pricing.

    Business Improvement Specialist

    Mission: To act as the driving force for managing improvement initiatives across all functions within MRS, CE, and Supply Chain to deliver business benefits. The BIC will direct multiple projects, assist in development of staff, and play a key role in influencing change within MRS and relevant businesses. BIC is the project leader for all business continual improvement and suggestions initiatives – evaluation, testing, and implementation.

    Main Responsibilities or Functions of Job:

    • Lead process improvement initiatives with MRS, and in conjunction with all relevant stakeholders, to deliver efficiencies and benefits to internal and external customers.
    • Present findings and recommendations with confidence and communicating these to sponsors and key stakeholders.
    • Challenge stakeholders to maximise opportunities from process improvement initiatives.
    • Promote and develop a continuous improvement culture across the business.
    • Champion the need and benefit by utilising a structured approach to business process improvement.
    • Identify improvement opportunities and manage improvement requests from the business.
    • Coach and support MRS, CE, and Supply Chain team members in use of tools and methodologies.
    • Document and monitor business processes, business rules, metrics, and standard operating procedures as a result of improvement initiatives.
    • Deliver process improvement training to staff, employees, contractors, and any other required stakeholder.
    • Facilitate and provide process improvement advice to MRS, CE, and Supply Chain team via targeted workshops to identify and resolve specific issues that are critically affecting business outcomes and require urgent resolution.
    • To (par) take responsibility in the following processes of any local product / outsourced process that qualifies as applicable under the Design and Development clause of the ISO 9001 and other ISO Standards requirements:
      • Planning
      • Input
      • Controls (e.g., Review, Verification and Validation)
      • Output
      • Control of changes

    To participate in the selection, approval and evaluation of Business Partners as required for conformance to Company and/or Stakeholders standards and specifications.

    Academic qualifications, skills, and capabilities

    • Minimum of bachelor's level qualification in Business Management, Commerce, Economics, or related fields.
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience using leading methodologies and processes (e.g., Lean/Six Sigma, PMP, Prince 2, TQM, ISO or similar).
    • Formal Business Improvement, Project Management or Business methodology accreditation e.g., Lean/Six Sigma Black/Green Belt, PMP or Prince2, etc.
    • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in the following (or similar) areas: Business Process Modelling, Analysis and Design, Project/Program Management.
    • Experience managing multiple parties and third-party vendors on high profile and innovative solutions.
    • Proven leadership experience across multifunctional projects and/or across business units.
    • Ability to build and manage effective project teams, perform effectively within budgetary guidelines and is decisive and confident, with the ability to energize others.
    • Some experience working with major finance and asset systems (preferably SAP/Movex).
    • High-level computer literacy with the following applications – Microsoft suite, SAP, MS Project, etc.
    • Customer Focus – proven ability in making internal and/or external customers the key focus for decisions about business processes.
