    Specialist Analyst - Complaints & Query Resolution Department

    Purpose of the Job:

    • To assist the department in handling complaints and queries from multiple sources, redirect complaints to external stakeholders, regulatory authorities and internal FSCA divisions in accordance with relevant protocols and management of the debarment register. The person appointed to this position will report to the Manager.

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Assess and investigate complaints and queries received by the Department;
    • Attend to unclaimed benefit enquiries;
    • Refer matters that do not fall within the scope of the FSCA to external stakeholders;
    • Refer matters that fall within the scope of the FSCA to relevant internal stakeholders;
    • Identify, analyse and report trends in respect of the complaints and queries received by the Department;
    • Engage with internal and external stakeholders with regards to the activities of the Department;
    • Engage with relevant internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the closure of various matters;
    • Assist the Department with ad hoc projects including the Unclaimed Benefits Outreach programme; and
    • Attend to administrative responsibilities of the Department as directed by the management team.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Law or Commerce with at least  5  years’  relevant  experience  of  financial  service industry or compliance management. A good understanding of the overall mandate of the FSCA and the various financial sector laws is required.

    Training Specialist - Human Resources Department

    Purpose of the Job:

    • To plan, administer and implement learning programmes that empower employees and improve their competence level. 

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Conduct Learning Needs Analysis.
    • Plan and Develop the Workplace Skills Plan and the Annual Training Plan.
    • Facilitate the recruitment and development of Trainees.
    • Advice employees and line managers on learning and development policies, practices and procedures.
    • Liaise with various SETAs and the QCTO for provision of accredited learning programmes.
    • Plan and schedule training interventions.
    • Facilitate internal learning programmes.
    • Advice line managers on appropriate learning programmes to address performance gaps and to improve competence.
    • Update the FSCA course catalogue and monitor the usage of digital learning platforms.
    • Assess knowledge gained after training and application of learning at the workplace.
    • Manage relationships with external training vendors.
    • Produce various learning and development reports.
    • Support the entire HR team to ensure quality service delivery to clients.
    • Participate in the FSCA project related initiatives. 
    • Perform general administration functions as directed by the HR Management team.

    Requirements

    • A bachelor’s degree in human resources: HRD/HRM (NQF 7) or equivalent.  The person must have at least 5 years working experience in Learning and Development with sound understanding of the SETA landscape and the skills development legislations. The candidate must have good facilitation skills. Registration as a Skills Development Facilitator, Facilitator and Assessor will be an added advantage.

    Junior Analyst - Retirement Fund Conduct Supervision Department

    Purpose of the Job: 

    • To assist the department in supervising and monitoring of retirement funds, including funds under curatorship, statutory management and funds where boards have been appointed in terms of section 26(2) of the Pension Funds Act, 1956 (“PF Act”). The person will also conduct on-site inspections and reviews of retirement funds and assist with monitoring and evaluation of reporting and relief from appointment of section 26 trustees. The person will also be required to monitor and supervise administrators licensed in terms of 13B of the PF Act. The person appointed to this position will report to the Manager.

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Assess complaints and queries received by the Department;
    • Overseeing the appointment, monitoring and evaluation of reporting and relief from appointment of section 26 trustees;
    • On-site inspections and reviews of retirement funds;
    • Report writing;
    • Analysis of statutory returns submitted by administrators licensed in terms of section 13B of the PF Act;
    • Additional special projects relating to the conduct supervision of retirement funds.

    Requirements

    A Bachelor’s Degree in Law with applicable experience. Good knowledge and exposure of the PF Act will be an added advantage.
