    Operations Manager

    • You as an Operations Manager will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Modderfontein, South Africa. You will be managing the grid integration business units for dynamic order, revenue growth with ever increasing cash flow. Coordinating with external and internal service providers in order to achieve the budgeted, profitable growth targets for the business unit. Being responsible for achieving group specific KPI’s in relation to Orders, Revenue, EBIT, OCF.     Your responsibilities

    • Understanding the development process flow, not pertaining to coding abilities.

    • You as a Senior Sales Specialist Digital, will be part of Power Grids Marketing & Sales business and reporting to Local Sales Manager.     Tender & Quotation Specialist

    • You as a Tender & Quotation Specialist will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Modderfontein, South Africa. You will be creating and completing bids or estimations, or quotations based on customer specification or customer requirements or budget to achieve both market competitiveness and high margin for the company. Maintaining and improving the balance between all Hitachi Energy units and customers that are present in the area of responsibility.

    Your responsibilities

    • Target: Formulating competitive bids or estimates or quotations, taking into account best available product mix and appropriate technical and commercial considerations for each individual situation. Ensuring tenders are well documented in a timely manner and with appropriate level of detail, including full and accurate costs.

    Sales Specialist - High Voltage Products

    • You as a Sales Specialist - High Voltage Products will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. You will be generating high voltage sales opportunities and securing profitable sales within the designated area(s). Focusing on installed base penetration (IB) and sell the entire High Voltage product portfolio in collaboration with other Hitachi Energy business units.     Product Manager - Outage Management Systems

     

    • Hitachi Energy is seeking a Product Manager - Outage Management Systems for its Houston, Texas location. This role is responsible for planning, developing and executing the product strategy and roadmap for Network Manager focused on managing power outages (planned and unplanned) and associated switching plans to energize and de-energize electrical grids in a safe manner. Implement and follow global product management best practices, apply sound business strategy approaches, and manage (i.e., market assessment, product competitiveness, direction of R&D investment, tracking of portfolio realization and impact) the associated product portfolio to meet requirements of global and local markets.     • Translates local market requirements and business unit strategy into global product portfolio. Positioning of the current and future product through market and customer segmentation, and anticipation of needs based on applicable trends. Contributes to the definition of new product line or product portfolio strategies.
    • Analyses and tracks market, technology, competitor, and customer requirements related to the product business and determines competitive attributes, prioritization, and value proposition. Identifies needs, opportunities, risks and positioning against competition and feeds information to global team as input to decision making.
    • Defines the business plan and approves the pricing model where applicable. Makes decisions and approves prioritization of product portfolio development activities.
    • Engages regularly with customers. Manages challenging customer escalations and non-conformities.

    Your background

    • Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering required and a minimum of 10+ years’ experience in the Utility T&D space.
    • Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
    • Experience as a customer/user of Utility Control Systems is highly desirable
    • Experience in a vendor environment either in Sales or Product Management is highly desirable
