    Product Specifier - JHB

    Knowledge and abilities:

    • Solid understanding of electrical distribution systems, switchgear, lighting, and energy efficiency products.
    • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, technical specifications, and tender documents.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Strong relationship-building and client-facing abilities.
    • Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with design/specification software is advantageous.
    • Self-motivated, with the ability to manage time and priorities across multiple projects.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Identify and secure specification opportunities across new and ongoing construction and refurbishment projects.
    • Provide expert product knowledge and technical support to consulting engineers, specifiers, and project managers.
    • Ensure MCE Electric’s product portfolio is included in design specifications, tender documents, and procurement packages.
    • Deliver tailored product presentations, technical training, and CPD sessions to stakeholders.
    • Stay informed on market trends, regulations, and standards affecting electrical systems (e.g., SANS, IEC, local compliance codes).
    • Work closely with internal sales and technical teams to align customer needs with product offerings.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers in the project specification process.
    • Maintain a database of specified projects and provide regular reporting on activity and outcomes.

    Client Support Liaison

    Knowledge and abilities:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and ticketing or CRM systems. 
    • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. 
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. 
    • A proactive and customer-focused mindset. 

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Receive and respond to client calls and emails regarding technical issues or inquiries. 
    • Accurately log all client queries in the internal system with relevant details (contact info, nature of issue, urgency). 
    • Assign and escalate tickets to the appropriate technical staff based on category and priority. 
    • Monitor open tickets to ensure timely responses and resolutions, updating clients where necessary. 
    • Maintain a clear and organized record of all communications and actions taken. 
    • Liaise with technical staff to follow up on query status and ensure client expectations are met. 
    • Assist in compiling weekly reports on support activity and unresolved issues. 
    • Maintain a professional and empathetic communication style with clients at all times. 
    • Provide administrative support to the technical department as needed.

    Credit Application Clerk/ Data Capturer

    Knowledge and abilities:

    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Good organizational and time-management skills.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
    • Familiarity with credit scoring systems and financial documentation is a plus.
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Review incoming credit applications for completeness and accuracy.
    • Enter customer and application data into credit management systems.
    • Conduct credit checks using third-party agencies or internal credit scoring tools.
    • Verify trade references and financial documents as part of the credit assessment process.
    • Communicate with customers to request missing information or clarify discrepancies.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all credit applications and related correspondence.
    • Assist in evaluating customer creditworthiness and recommend credit limits.
    • Work closely with Sales and Finance teams to facilitate smooth onboarding of new customers.
    • Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and procedures.
    • Generate routine reports on credit applications and status updates.

    • Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.
    • 1–2 years of experience in a credit, administrative, or finance-related role.
    • Tertiary qualification in business, finance, or related field would be advantageous.

    VFX Artist / Motion Graphics Designer

    Knowledge and abilities:

    • Strong understanding of timing, motion, physics, and visual storytelling.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent attention to detail and a creative problem-solving mindset.
    • Strong portfolio or demo reel showcasing relevant work.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design and produce high-quality 2D/3D animations and visual effects. (with focus on vfx)
    • Create photorealistic effects such as explosions, smoke, fire, particles, and water using industry-standard software.
    • Integrate VFX seamlessly with live-action footage and CGI.
    • Work closely with creative directors and project leads to interpret and deliver on briefs.
    • Optimize assets for performance while maintaining visual fidelity.
    • Troubleshoot and solve technical and creative challenges.
    • Stay current on industry trends, tools, and techniques.

    Boxes to tick:

    • Matric
    • 3+ years experience in animation and VFX production
    • Proficiency with industry-standard tools such as: (Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Dimensions, Blender)
    • Animation or VFX certificate (Example: Certificate of learning for fundamental principles)
