Overview
- The purpose of this role is to administer and safeguard the stocks in the magazine as per legal and client requirements. Delivery of explosives to the blasting face and the checks of all old explosive’s boxes on a daily basis and to assist the blaster with the preparation of blast blocks.
Qualifications
- Certified as Magazine Master with CIE

Experience

Duties
- Receives finished blasting accessories / explosives from the plant as well as other orders placed by the Explosives Coordinator.
- Ensures that explosives are off-loaded and packed in the magazine in an orderly, secure and safe manner.
- Checks received blasting accessories / explosives against the delivery note and signs it.
- Books the newly arrived load into the Register Book.
- Verifies the physical delivery with the driver.
- Informs the Explosives Coordinator for further action when discrepancies are detected.
- Receives Schedule of Orders from the Scheduling Coordinator.
- Checks that the Continuous Transport Permit (CTP) corresponds to the order.
- Completes the pre-issue checklist to make sure that the vehicle and driver comply with all prescriptions, prior to loading of the order.
- Requests the driver to rectify the matter or otherwise contacts the Explosives Coordinator for higher level action in the event of non-compliance.
- Signs and files the checklist in the event of compliance.
- Ensures that the order is moved from the magazine, loaded and stacked on to the accessories transport vehicle in and orderly and safe manner.
- Makes out a Delivery Note / Requisition for the order and hands over a copy to the driver and a copy to the Administrator.

Overview
- The purpose of this role is to assist the truck operator in collecting products from the silos and delivering them to the blasting face. The individual will be responsible for the housekeeping and maintenance of the vehicle, refilling area, and other work areas. All tasks and duties must be performed in compliance with statutory, legal, client, and BME requirements and standards, without any shortcuts.

Duties
- Risk assessment and Safe work declarations to be done with the blaster at the place of work before entering workplace as per client requirements.
- Assist MMU with charging up blasting holes and filling up MMU with products.
- Assisting the blaster for preparing the blast / charge-up area by meeting all the statutory, legal, client and BME requirements/standards/prescriptions.
- Together with the Blaster, inspects the site to determine the target block and to plan the blasting process.
- Marks off the working area by erecting the prescribed barricading material as prescribed by the client.
- Required to map the holes to ensure that all the required holes correctly placed.
- Required to measure and check the depth of the holes, and to ensure that they are all correctly drilled within the prescribed parameters.
- In the event of detecting any deviations from prescriptions, responsible for behaving assertively and taking the necessary steps to rectify matters, e.g., by interacting and communicating to mine staff, drill contractor or the Foreman.
- On instruction from the Blaster, required to collect the correct accessories to carry out the blasting assignment successfully.
- Responsible to place all detonators and boosters at the collar of the hole to prepare for priming of the blast holes as per the blast plan issued by the mine.
- Responsible for priming the holes by carefully inserting detonators into boosters, attaching weigh-down material to the primer, and lower this primer in the hole under the supervision of the blaster.
- Any additional ad hoc duties must be completed within the specified timeframe.

- The Financial Accountant is responsible for the end-to-end execution of core financial accounting activities, with a strong focus on the accuracy and completeness of financial transactions. The role ensures that costs are recognised in the correct accounts and cost centres, and are recharged to the appropriate intercompany counterparties where applicable. Responsibilities include month-end close, balance sheet integrity, intercompany accounting and cross-charging, reconciliations, audit support, and internal control execution. The role supports the production of accurate, complete, IFRS-compliant and audit-ready financial information.

Experience
- 2–5 years’ experience in financial accounting, audit or similar role.

Duties
Financial Transaction Accuracy & Cost Allocation
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all financial transactions recorded in the general ledger.
- Review and validate cost allocations to ensure expenses are recorded against the correct cost centres, accounts and dimensions.
- Ensure costs subject to intercompany recharge are identified, correctly costed and allocated to the appropriate counterparty.
- Perform routine checks to identify mispostings, unusual trends or incorrect classifications and initiate corrective action.
Financial Period Close & Journals
- Execute monthly, quarterly and year-end close activities in line with the finance calendar.
- Prepare and post standard journals including accruals, provisions, FX remeasurements, payroll summaries and reclassifications.
- Ensure journals are accurate, fully supported and submitted through workflow within agreed deadlines.
- Maintain structured journal templates and upload files to ensure consistency and audit trail integrity.
Balance Sheet Reconciliation & Integrity
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Investigate, resolve and clear reconciling items on a timely basis.
- Provide clear explanations for movements and aged balances.
Intercompany Accounting & Cross-Charging
- Prepare and process intercompany journals and transactions in line with approved group policies and transfer pricing frameworks.
- Prepare monthly intercompany cost recharges and cross-charging calculations based on approved drivers and allocation methodologies.
- Ensure intercompany charges are complete, accurate and supported by detailed schedules.
- Perform monthly intercompany reconciliations, resolving timing, pricing and FX differences with counterparties.
- Upload and validate intercompany balances on group reporting platforms (e.g. VENA).
- Prepare intercompany confirmation packs and audit support schedules.
IFRS & Technical Accounting Support
- Support execution of accounting treatments under IFRS, including leases (IFRS16), fixed assets and provisions.
- Maintain calculation schedules, roll-forwards and working papers supporting financial reporting and disclosures.
- Flag unusual or complex transactions requiring senior review.
Audit, Internal Controls & Compliance
- Prepare audit documentation and maintain submission trackers.
- Provide first-pass factual responses to external audit queries.
- Support internal audit engagements, remediation tracking and IFC attestations.
- Ensure compliance with approved SOPs, policies and control frameworks.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Support in the preparation of the annual and quarterly budgets.
- Support in the preparation of the cash flow forecasts.
