    EHS Environment Compliance Sr. Manager, AMESA Sector HQ

    This role will be based in South Africa

    • Serve as the PepsiCo AMESA lead on EHS sector lead ensuring all sites are operating to legal, in addition to PEPSICO standards, for all aspects inclusive of wastewater discharge, ammonia, air emissions, chemicals, spills management, waste management and portable water.

    • Drive implementation of EHS Environmental and EHS standards to ensure external certifications (14001 / 18001) are maintained

    • Ensures compliance Scope of role covers all company owned plants ; sales/fleet/transport, R&D, Agro facilities, offices and DC’s.


    Key accountabilities for the role include:
    Strategy development:

    • Lead the development of sector and BU strategy to ensure full legal and Pepsico compliance for the environmental agenda, detailing CAPEX, OPEX, operational changes and training plans over AOP and PSP

    • Lead the development of environmental GEHSMS compliance improvement plans, to ensure external certifications (14001 / 18001) are maintained.

    • Lead the development and implementation of improvement programs (for example FFP & MPC), and best in class delivery of environmental standards


    Subject matter expert:

    • Act as the Sector subject matter expert on all environmental related areas, risk assessments, processes and auditing

    • Support BU in conducting and reviewing due diligence on brownfield, greenfield and land sales, ensuring full legal compliance

    • Collaborate with PPGA to anticipate future regulatory trends, ensuring business ready implementation mitigation plans of the changes


    Capability development:

    • Develop critical competencies and training plans for BU environmental leads, standard owners, and auditors in the field to ensure compliance standards are delivered

    • Collaborate with Global and other Sector EH&S resources to operationalize environmental programs, review and update Pepsico standards requirements


    Performance improvement:

    • Track and measure environmental performances through dashboard reports on legal compliance and PepsiCo conformances, notice of violations and action completions

    • Actively review GEHSMS self assessments, Track and measure environmental performances through dashboard reports on legal compliance and Pepsico conformances, notice of violations and action completions

    • Collaborate with BU and align on standardised deployments across the sector, ensuring replication of best practices and guiding prioritised improvement roadmap through gap analysis

    Qualifications/Requirements

    • 10+ years’ experience in FMCG, Environmental compliance roles, BU or sector roles

    • 5+ years ISO/OSHA GEHSMS auditing experience

    • Project management skills drive for results

    • Customer service mentality

    • Change management experience coupled with good analytical abilities

    • Ability to work cross-functionally, cross-geographically and across multiple cultures

    • Strong internal and external communicator, written and verbal

    • ‘lean’ Mindset with skills to drive streamline

    • Ability to set and prioritise short, mid and long-term objectives.

    • EHS graduate, or Bachelor of Engineering/ Science subject.

    Warehouse Senior Manager – AMESA Sector HQ

    Job Description

    The role is location free, and the candidate should be based in one of these locations with PEP offices: South Africa, Egypt, India, Pak and Lebanon . No relocation will be available for this role.


    Main Purpose:

    The role will lead the Warehousing capability agenda for AMENA, providing functional subject matter expertise, capability development, and the strategic roadmap development of the Logistics chain, to drive AMENA MOVE productivity delivery of 7%+ in AOP, long-term productivity pipeline development, and across all Warehousing operations. The role will focus on;

    • Overall delivery of Quality in Warehousing, Customer Service delivery, and Operational Efficiency,

    • Warehousing Strategy Roadmap execution

    • Developing and sustaining standardized capability in people and process,

    • Leading and coordinate facility layout and flow optimization projects and workstreams,

    • Driving efficiency in labor management, Warehousing tools & systems (WMS, YMS, Vision, Labour Planning etc) and peak season capacity strategies.

    • Build the rolling 10 year automation glide path for AMENA Warehousing

    • Build & lead the execution of the AMESA Logistics systems capability & integration strategy, to support the Digitized Value Chain agenda.

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Serve as sector lead to enable 7%+ annual productivity for the Warehousing spend, ensuring best practice tools and deep dive results are built into plans and providing adhoc support to fill gaps.

    • Lead the qualification and deployment of Global logistics best practice tools to all applicable AMESA markets, including;

      • Deploy the Warehouse Affordability framework to qualify mechanization and automation opportunities for applicable sites.

      • Sustain and govern the Slot 3D & CLASS simulation software capabilities and usage across AMESA markets

      • Deploy affordable WMS to gain efficiency and productivity in WHs across AMESA markets

    • Co-own the delivery and improvement of the key Warehousing metrics and performance indicators with BU LD&T leads that drive operational costs, service, and quality

    • Own the warehouse deep dives process, continuously improving the process, executing aligned deep dives and governing execution of action plans.

    • Owns the Warehousing mapping & elements in Network Optimization baseline mapping sustainment, and scenario building concepts

    • Own the Warehousing Sustainability agenda, specifically Scope 2 & 3, for the AMESA sector

    • Coaching and development of Business Unit LD&T leads, field Logistics Managers and new field Logistics Experts.

      • Develop formal Logistics Expert capability framework , including content and certification program and lead roll out of the program across the sector

    • Ownership of the AMENA Warehousing performance and productivity, including the reporting data, metrics, benchmarking, and reporting platform maintenance (partnered with AMESA Performance team)

    • Lead the Warehousing elements of financial tracking/management of MOVE spend visibility

    • Partner with Global Procurement to define and incorporate operational standards and efficiency parameters in 3PL contracts and supports to audit and sustain capability.

    Qualifications/Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or Mathematical Sciences (i.e. Operations Research)

    • 14+ years experience in physical operations experience (Warehousing, Transportation, Distribution, Express), or at least 5 years in a field and multi-country regional capability development role

    • Experience with both PepsiCo Food and Beverage operations advantage, FMCG required

    • Logistics systems savvy across industry platforms – WMS, TMS, YMS, ERP

    • Experience in transportation fleets in a dedicated or owned operation, with proven expertise leading innovation and operational efficiency agendas.

    • Correctly fault find and repair pneumatic,hydraulic, and mechanical machinery
