    Account Manager: New business

    Job description

    Sell Pointer solution offerings to prospects and customers according to the go- to-market strategy within an assigned territory:

    • Achieve growth through new business generation.
    • Responsible for all sales activities (Lead Generation to Deal Closure)
    • Develop and implement agreed upon sales plan which meets both personal and business goals of expanding customer base.
    • Works within the sales and support teams for the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term account goals in line with company vision and values.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

    • At least 5 years of documented, successful experience in a Sales Professional Role
    • Experience managing a sales territory
    • Strong understanding of customer and decision making dynamics is a key requirement.
    • Willingness to travel and work within a team of professionals.
    • Proven ability to achieve sales quotas and work under quarterly review.
    • Evidence of CRM use and adherence

    Sales Manager

    Job description

    The purpose of the role is to execute Pointer SA sales strategy. Sales Manager encompasses identifying, qualifying, selecting and ongoing management of Pointer SA products and services.

    Accountabilities and Performance Measures

    • Achieves assigned sales quota in designated accounts.
    • Meets assigned expectations for profitability.
    • Completes sales account plans that meet company standards.
    • Completes required training and development objectives within the assigned time frame.

    Key experience

    • An excellent knowledge of relevant sectors and computer systems and applications.
    • Sound knowledge of sales and customer service practices and principles.
    • A good knowledge of basic business principles.
    • Experience in sales and closing strategically important new business.
    • Experience in making and delivering presentations to current and potential customers.
    • In-depth knowledge and understanding of customer goals, objectives, strategies and competitive situations.
    • Ability to demonstrate a successful and proven background in sales.

    Qualifications

    • Matric with undergraduate college degree advantageous
    • Minimum 7-10 years of Sales Management and territory management experience in a business to-business sales environment.
    • PC proficiency
    • Excellent written & oral communication skills

    Background of the Sales Manager

    • Previous experience of driving sales ideally in any of following industries:
      • Telematics
      • Fleet Management Leasing
      • Large Commercial vehicle sales (Truck/Light Delivery Vehicles; Trailers; Plant and Equipment sales)
      • Information, Communications and Telecommunications
      • Fleet Management Software or Systems
      • Software as a Service (SaaS)    
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to build strong relationships with partners.
    • Strong personal network within the relevant industry as stated above.
    • Driven, highly motivated and passionate about sales.
