    Enrolled Nursing Assistant

    PURPOSE 

    To assist the Sub-Recipients (SR) of the NDoH Global Fund TB, to appoint an enrolled nursing assistant for the mobile and movable DCXR units in the twelve Global Fund-supported districts for the NFM3 grant period. 

    OBJECTIVES 

    The respective SR is expected to identify and appoint an enrolled nursing assistant to be attached to mobile and movable Digital Chest X-Ray units to ensure that all clients are screened, sputum is collected on the spot, followed up and successfully linked to care. 

    GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Set up and prepare for daily activities 
    • Screen all clients at the Digital Chest X-Ray containers  
    • Collect on the spot sputum from all clients,  
    • Generates daily, weekly, and monthly reporting of data for reporting 
    • Update client records with laboratory sputum results and treatment start date. 
    • Ensure availability of registers and other commodities required in the van 
    • Work with the Data Captures to ensure that data is captured on the system and verified to ensure data quality 
    • Follow up on patients referred to the facility to ensure a continuum of care. 
    • Liaises with the TSO for the follow-up of clients 
    • Conduct community education on TB prevention, symptoms and adherence to treatment 

    Requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS: 

    • Higher Certificate Auxiliary Nurse or an equivalent qualification as Nursing Auxiliary 

    REQUIREMENTS: 

    • Current Registration with SANC as an auxiliary nurse 
    • 2 years of working experience within a similar environment or any clinical setting 
    • Knowledge of basic TB, and HIV management  
    • Experience in health promotion and health education 
    • Computer literacy in Microsoft Package  
    • Proficiency in verbal and written communication skills 
    • Willing to travel and work after hours

    Data Capturer I

    Description

    The Data Capturer will work with facilities and will ensure that key data quality dimensions such as validity, reliability, integrity, precision, timeliness, accuracy, worth, completeness, confidentiality and ethics are met for all data collected at facility and community levels. This position will contribute to the development and maintenance of the high standard of data collected and reported and assists with conducting routine data quality assessment (RDQA) or data quality audit. The Data capturer will work closely with M&E officers, Data Quality monitors, managers, Quality improvement advisors, QI officers and district health information managers to provide oversight and technical support on improving data quality to facility and community level staff as well as data capturers through facility level supervision and support visits, capacity building and data quality assurance.

    • Strengthening and capacity building on existing national health information systems such as EDR.Web, TIER.Net, DHIS, HPRS and others) to enhance data visibility via dashboards and cascade analysis to enhance programme improvement.
    • Support in conducting Onsite Data Verifications (OSDV).
    • Provide technical support and assistance on Filing System.
    • Provide technical support and assistance on clearing of Data Capturing backlogs
    • Review of data extracts and providing Feedback.
    • Support data capturing related activities at beyond zero as the need arises. 
    • Participate in quality improvement projects.
    • Participate in district and sub-district MERL meetings, workshops and discussions to provide ongoing technical support

    Requirements

    • Grade 12
    • Post Matric Diploma/Degree Qualification will be an added advantage.
    • Previous Exposure in HIV/AIDS and TB Prevention programmes (added advantage)
    • 2 years data capturing experience.
    • 2 years office work experience.
    • Experience in capturing data in electronic databases, Health related is an added advantage.
    • Fully computer literate (proficient working knowledge of MS office, including databases)

    Client Engagement Officer [Supporing Tswaing Sub District]

    Work Description:

    The Client Engagement Officer is responsible for providing basic patient-level support to all newly diagnosed patients, and the patients already on HIV treatment, and those beginning their treatment journey. Providing telephonic support and follow-ups. The incumbent should also be tracing Pre Art, and treatment interrupters with the aim to bring them back and re-engage them to care. They will also be responsible to provide education and information around treatment and care of HIV and or TB. Providing information and support to Participants (new and existing) in the decanting programme as well as rendering psychosocial support counselling and mentoring on a regular basis resulting in adherence and retention to care.

    Technical Work Responsibilities

    • Coordinate with healthcare facilities / workers to locate newly identified HIV- positive clients /cases requiring linkage into care.
    • Be able to provide simple and relevant HIV/TB information to patients in a clear, convincingly and understandable manner.
    • Accompany the patient through ART initiation steps and ensure timely start on ART.
    • Register and maintain all patients on ART into the appropriate data collection registers/tools.
    • Coordinate referrals to clinic and community-based HIV care and treatment services, and advocate for accessibility to these services.
    • Conduct follow-up communication to deliver support to assigned patients as per case management protocol, such as patient reminders to appointments.
    • Create and maintain favourable relationships with Internal and External Stakeholders
    • Participate in Counselling Quality Assurance Audits and Competency Assessments
    • Provide counselling and mentoring services resulting in the retention of clients in care
    • Actively track their cohort of patients to ensure that they are recorded as linked to care in Tier.Net.
    • Actively engage with tracers and community based services to find patients who have missed appointments and ascertain if they are lost to follow up.
    • Liaise with clinical teams on any basic clinical guidance that needs to be followed up.
    • Record and report all data obtained in the field.
    • Continue to maintain contact despite decanting to remote pick up solutions
    • Participate in basic facility quality improvement activities to address retention in care system/patient gaps.
    • Provision of initiatives to minimize loss to follow up (LTFU).
    • Identification of process inadequacies and recommendations
    • Identification and escalation of high-risk situations or unresolved client queries
    • Generate routine Reports and Correspondence

    Requirements

    • Education / Professional Membership
    • Grade 12 Post matric qualification - social science or related field
    • Relationship Counselling Certificate
    • Advanced Adherence Counselling Certificate
    • Trained on IACT, Kids Alive, AGL / NAS / AYFS

    Advantageous

    • Diploma/Degree in Social Science or related field
    • Valid Driver’s License and own vehicle

    Experience

    • At least 2 years’ HIV testing and/or counselling
    • 2 years’ HIV and TB community education and mobilisation
    • At least one-year experience in providing support/counselling to HIV Infected Individuals dealing with psychosocial issues that influence Health-seeking behaviour
    • Customer Support Service / client centric training

    Radiographer

    Work Description

    The Radiographer is responsible for:

    • Providing a high standard of radiographic chest x-ray imaging, including the use of artificial intelligence (AI) for reading images whilst ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and linkage to appropriate services.
    • Liaising with relevant district/sub-district management teams and facilities for planning and allocation purposes.
    • Communicating effectively with facility-based outreach teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality service.

    Technical Work Responsibilities

    • Ensure clients sign the consent forms before X-ray exposure.
    • Ensure that the Ionizing Radiation (for Medical Exposure) Regulations are adhered to.
    • Record accurate patient information relating to dose and use of consumables.
    • Keep accurate patient records including recording radiation dose and exposure factors.
    • Provides support and reassurance to patients who may be unwell or have barriers to understanding.
    • Develop a sound knowledge of the equipment used to be aware of malfunctions and errors and to report them.
    • Participate in the district/sub-district and facility development of operational plans for the deployment of the mobile DCXR.
    • Maintain effective working relationships with outreach teams and facility staff.
    • Liaise with the Radiologist/Medical officer for diagnostic and technical advice and support.
    • Support referral and linkage to care for incidental CXR findings not requiring presumptive TB testing.
    • Work with the team to ensure that all data is collected and verified to ensure data quality.
    • Set up and prepare for daily activities.
    • Supervise the teams to ensure day to day direct service delivery. Read and interpret Documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
    • Write routine Reports and Correspondence.
    • Speak effectively before Groups/Stakeholders of the Company

    Requirements

    Education

    • National Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Radiography
    • HPCSA registration as a Radiographer

    Experience

    • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a Radiographer

    Advantageous

    • Six (6) months experience in a Supervisory position
    • Private practice number will be an added advantage.

    Requirements
