    Quarry Clerk

    Minimum Qualification / Experience / Skills:

    • Grade 12 certificate (Matric) qualification
    • Must be computer literate.
    • Basic financial skills.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Good planning and organising skills.
    • Be a team player and able to work independently.
    • Good leadership skills.
    • Must be safety conscious.
    • Must have sound knowledge & understanding of the mining environment.
    • Must have a good understanding of the legal aspects pertaining to a mine/quarry.
    • Display excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Be detail oriented
    • Decision making skills.
    • Strong time management skills.
    • Be customer focused

    Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

    Admin

    • Switchboard (Telephone) – Answering & directing calls, making calls, taking & distributing messages.
    • Handling enquiries & incoming work related requests.
    • Typing documents & Correspondence.
    • Maintaining filing systems.
    • Ordering/purchasing office supplies & consumables when necessary.
    • Data capturing & completing various reports i.e. Diesel report, Machine,
    • ASMS/Maintenance job cards.
    • Dispatch/Weighbridge
    • Assist with dispatch operations.
    • Scheduling & verifying of loads according to orders.
    • Analyse the order & quantities required for each job.
    • Maintain the records of all orders received, dispatched correctly; accurately ensure all
    • delivery notes are signed, etc.

    Reporting

    • Report any dispatch & related problems to the immediate superior immediately
    • Adhere to all SHE rules and regulations that are applicable on the site e.g. Induction Training.
    • Receipt of deliveries to site including day-to-day organization of goods received, etc.
    • Stock control – Monitor stock in oil store against agreed inventory levels & reorder as required.
    • Any other ad hoc duties as required by Management

    Health and Safety Intern

    Minimum Qualification / Experience:

    • National Diploma/Degree in Health and Safety
    • Health and Safety Qualification (Preferably Mining SAMTRAC)
    • Knowledge of Mine Health and Safety Act 29 of 1996 legislation.
    • Driver’s license (Essential) & own vehicle (Advantageous).
    • Reside in the Worcester Area.

    Duties and Responsibilities (not limited not):

    • Report writing
    • Perform daily checks and complete checklists
    • Conduct Toolbox talks
    • Update Notice boards
    • Meet prescribed deadlines
    • Filing
    • Perform Inductions
    • Conduct inspections
    • Assist with investigations
    • Skills and Attributes:
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Able to work accurately, paying attention to detail
    • Adaptable to change.
    • Must be able to work under pressure.
    • Be able to take initiative and work unsupervised at times
    • Able to travel to different sites in Western Cape
    • Proficient in MS Office

    People Intern

    Minimum Qualification / Experience:

    • School Grade: Matric/Grade 12.
    • Tertiary qualification: Degree in Human Resources Management or relevant studies is essential (Honours Degree Advantageous).
    • Valid driver’s License (Own vehicle preferred).
    • Willingness to be trained.
    • Must reside in the Western Cape.
    • Strong Administrative Skills.
    • Highly analytical and action orientated.
    • Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
    • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
    • Work accurately with an eye for detail.
    • Results orientated and self-starter.
    • Computer literate with proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
