    Asset Management Specialist

    About the role:

    • Be responsible for the financial performance/financial return targets of all funding providers, co-owning targets and outcomes and report directly to the Asset Management Lead. 
    • Be accountable for allocation of microcredit assets across geographies, risk segments and product classes to generate targeted returns for the company and its diverse funding partner group (funds, banks, DFIs and the company’s own capital). 
    • Manage funder specific e-wallet positions to ensure sufficient liquidity given targeted lending levels. 
    • Have close interaction with the Treasury team to facilitate cross country capital movements to ensure the optimal use of funds across all geographies. 
    • Forecast key portfolio metrics, including lending volume, performance and cash flow velocity. 
    • Advance the company’s risk and asset management capabilities in terms of systems and ability. 
    • Integrate across functions to ensure optimal delivery of revenue and customer acquisitions targets. 

    About you:

    • 5-8 years relevant experience focusing on…
    • Strong financial product understanding 
    • Strong understanding of the entire credit lifecycle 
    • Experience in asset / portfolio management with an in-depth understanding of asset allocation across funding providers 
    • Experience in asset allocation across funding providers from both a strategic and tactical asset allocation perspective 
    • Proven ability in analytics, business acumen and presenting / communicating recommendations across all organization levels 
    • Understanding of financial metrics in relation to portfolio management and the associated forecasting thereof 

    Bonus points if you have:

    • CFA or an equivalent certification 
    • Knowledge and application of credit scoring and risk management techniques across the entire credit life cycle on consumer portfolios. 
    • Analytical/commercial experience within financial services – consumer lending, banking, asset management or fund management 
    • Experience in liquidity and treasury management, including an understanding the FTP concept 
    • Understanding of the regulatory environment in terms of Basel rules (capital and RWAs) 
    • Understanding of fund mechanics and structures including funding mechanisms and return hurdles

    Audit Senior

    About the job

    • Our client is an award-winning firm headquartered abroad, servicing clients across various industries internationally, and they are currently looking to add an Audit Senior to their continuously growing team.
    • Working from their Cape Town office based in the CBD, the role will entail leading audits from the planning stage right through to the completion stage for a variety of overseas clients across the sector.

    Responsibilities:

    • Carry out audits using a bespoke risk-based audit approach
    • Coordinate with the client, the manager and colleagues on the audit
    • Plan, perform and oversee the audit process in line with agreed timetables
    • Liaise with clients and complete audit testing
    • Allocate responsibilities and delegate work to more junior members of the team
    • Review team members’ work for accuracy and compliance
    • Perform effective risk and control assessments
    • Liaise with the manager to ensure work is reviewed and any queries addressed
    • Present audit findings and find ways to increase compliance and efficiency
    • Train, coach and encourage junior members of the team

    Requirements:

    • CA(SA) or ACCA registered or eligible to register as a CA(SA)
    • Completed Articles
    • Experience with listed audits
    • Exposure to the Tech, Media or Creative space advantageous but not required
    • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
    • Experience with CaseWare and Xero would be an advantage
    • In-depth understanding of auditing standards and control practices
    • Updated knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
