    Inventory Lead - DSC Germiston

    Primary purpose of the role

    • To plan, co-ordinate, supervise and report upon the work activities of the inventory team, providing effective communication, leadership, motivation, training & development. Responsibility for maintaining  and managing inventory integrity. Responsibility for managing and minimising DHL's contractual stock loss liabilities.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Ensure accurate control of inventory up to and beyond the KPI levels expected by the customer and DHL  
    • Plan and manage all stock counts and audits of inventory 
    • Develop & maintain effective inventory process, incorporating warehouse management systems    
    • Produce accurate stock Key Performance Indicator reports, analyse and recommend changes to Standard Operating
    • Procedures to enhance accuracy and operational effectiveness 
    • Put in place procedures to monitor and minimise stock losses
    • Daily recons on storage types and ensure that inventory team meets daily targets   
    • Monitor all stock movements within warehouse and ensure report on issues     
    • Constant communication with operational team 
    • Train team members to ensure that inventory control procedures are fully implemented    
    • Implement procedures to maintain cycle counting and perpetual inventory   
    • Understand DHL's stock loss contractual liability and ensure any potential risk is effectively mitigated
    • Produce timely and accurate management information & reports as required
    • Manage and motivate inventory team - ensure adequate inventory team cover available across all operational shifts
    • Control of team budgeted hours and costs
    • Create and publish Standard Operating Procedures
    • Attend customer meetings as required
    • Contribute to site continuous improvement agenda
    • Submitting monthly inventory information accurately and timeously to meet deadlines
    • Management of damages and stock losses within warehouse

    Qualifications

    • Matric
    • Educated to university degree level or equivalent professional qualifications in conjunction with relevant experience will also be considered

    Area Manager - VW - (Component Plant, I-Stores & Paint Shop) - Uitenhage

    Job Purpose:   

    •  To ensure Area objectives are met as the head of the Area’s so that customer requirements are met through effective logistics supply management. Develop and lead teams to ensure that the best results and objectives are always achieved.

    Key Accountabilities:

    •  Code B Driver’s license
    •  Proficient software skills (MS Word, MS Excel)

    Business Analyst - Kempton Park

    Role Outline

    DHL Supply Chain requires efficient execution of logistic processes within business needs, customer wishes, local regulation and organizational constraints. Achieving these results is a combination of smart matching of best standardized operational practices with IT capabilities.

    The role of the Business Analyst is to translate business and customer needs into an implementable IT solution guaranteeing effective implementation of standardized best practices as per MLEMEA standard. The emphasis of this role is to guarantee proper business requirements are delivered, translated into the IT solution and to give guidance to business and technical teams. The Business Analyst should therefore be well known and trained to the latest DHL standards and be able to sell these as much as possible.

    • The Business Analyst works in tight contact with the Solution Manager to ensure standardization of processes is enforced and, where not applicable, collects evidence to submit changes to the regional Change Advisory Board in order to stimulate the enrichment of the standard. For this purpose, the BA is responsible to collect and translate the business deviations into a formal change in the Change Advisory Board in a quantifiable manner and be available to explain the reason of the deviation.    

    Key areas of responsibility include:

    A.1. Analysis and translation of requirements

    • Analysis of logistics requirements originating from business and customers as part of projects or RFCs (requirements elicitation)
    • Influencing business into best solution and “sell” this solution, taking into account available (standardized) IT products and solutions
    • In the event of not having business requirements and processes (up to the level required), improve or even create these requirements and processes together with business and/or customer representatives
    • Perform GAP analysis between MLEMEA OPS Standard and selected IT Products
    • Translation of the analysis into efficient and effective solutions within the constraints given by   the available standard application functionalities
    • Understand opportunities and limitation of given IT systems and ensure proposed business solution will be adherent to the given standards

    A.2. Realise a chosen solution

    • Deliver required documents as per DePICT and ONE.DEPLOY in agreement with workstream leader
    • Give guidance to technical team for activities in implementation phase of project and be the demand party for the technical team

    A.3. Prepare for “go-live”, support during “go-live”

    • Analysis of logistics requirements originating from business and customers as part of projects or RFCs (requirements elicitation).

    Finance & Projects

    • Ensure assigned tasks are delivered in a timely manner and within assigned budget

    People Management

    • Transmit passion to the work and to the DPDHL and MLEMEA strategic programs
    • Guide people in the change process from the actual operative procedures to the new procedures

    Qualifications/ Skills/Competencies/Experiences

    • Minimum 1 year experience with the setup of logistics processes and related applications (from medior)
    • Minimum 1 year project delivery experience (from medior)
    • Minimum 3 years project delivery experience (senior only)
