Key Purpose
The purpose of this position is to ensure that fire detection and fire equipment is serviced and maintained according to regulations and industry standards. The systems are rectified with in Service level agreements and deviations rectified. Ensure fire systems are kept operational and is compliant. Ensure standard are nationally maintained and investigate incidents.
Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to
- Maintenance strategies [preventative, statutory]
- Ensuring Preventative and statutory Maintenance is carried out to all fire equipment, BMS and corrective action deviations is rectified.
- Pre-Schedule dates for scheduled maintenance and place on maintenance plan.
- 3rd party equipment is activated as per fire rational
Financial management
- Budgeting (forecasting, allocating, saving initiatives)
- Quotations and approvals (obtaining, approvals, vetting, signing off)
- Vet invoices and ensure the amounts are correct and allocated properly
- Capex submission (quotations, motivations)
Safety and compliance
- Ensure compliance to safety, health and environment Act as well as adherence to the Discovery standards and practices.
- Ensure required maintenance activities is carried out at required intervals and that the service and equipment comply to all relevant regulations
- Compile work permits, list risk and satisfy the risk appetite
Contractor management
- Manage SLA stipulated in agreements and contracts
- Manage contracts and contractor scope of work and address expectations
- Plan for scheduled services
- Quality control on work performed and to standard
- Find efficiencies
- Negotiate cost reduction
Administration Duties
- The Maintenance service reports of assets is evaluated, signed and captured onto the data base
- The asset details are captured on Planon and other relevant files
- Analyse service report findings
- Carry out tasks and important requests by management
- Communicate with relevant stakeholders of situations and failures
- Apply for Change control activities for the Data center
- Develop procedures and SOP, keep updated
- Complete data on the job card reporting system
Leadership

Required
- SAQCC Gas suppression certified: commissioner.
- SAQCC fire detection certified: Installation and commissioning
- Drivers license to travel between branches
- Matric certificate
Advantageous:
- Ziton ZP2 addressable fire panel commission and installation certified.
- Design and installations of fire systems
Required
Experience
- Working on Ziton ZP2 addressable fire panel commission and installation.
- Experience in servicing detection and Gas suppression systems in the Data center spaces and Patch rooms.
- Familiar with designs and Networking of panels to the master panel and PC.
- Testing and repairing of Fire phones and the exchange system
- Programming and downloading logs from the panel
- Working with Computer programs like excel and word, and emails
- Working on Ziton ZP2 addressable fire panel commission and installation.
- Problem solve any faults or defects that may affect the working condition of the fire detection system
- Backing up panels and programming new devices
- Good understanding of networks philosophy
- Accredited in Testing of Fire and Gas suppression systems
- Fault diagnose of addressable public announcing systems
- Fault diagnosing and repairing of Fire phones, and the exchange
- Own vehicle to attend to call outs.
- Knowledge of Microsoft office programs
Advantageous:
- Knowledge of other and older fire and Gas suppression systems
- Knowledge on the working and regulations of the Sprinkler systems and the components and the design aspects.
- Knowledge and experience with Fire equipment such as fire extinguisher, Hose reels and hydrants.

Key Purpose
- Dealing with telephonic and email enquiries from members currently using the MedXpress service and prospective users. Placing re-orders and educating members on the service. Dealing with partner providers to ensure that orders are delivered within Service Level Agreement

Job Responsibilities Include Among Others The Following
- Dealing with multiple telephonic and email queries from Discovery MedXpress member and partner pharmacies and the administration involved with monitoring order turnaround times so that service levels are closely monitored
- Dealing with all queries through to resolution
- Completing administrative and repetitive tasks
- Keeping accurate detailed stats of all queries/correspondence and reporting on it on a weekly basis
- Keep up-to-date with policy and product changes
- Assisting with escalated queries from members and pharmacies
- Assisting with written correspondence where necessary
- Providing limited clinical advice on how to use medicines

- Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant qualification
Minimum 2 Years Of Pharmaceutical Hospital/Retail Experience
- Basic MS Office Knowledge
