    Head of Digital

    Key Purpose

    • Continuously scanning the market for disruptive technologies that have a potential to augment Discovery Insure Group’s business strategy and/or model, given current and emerging digital realities, opportunities and threats. Champions the use of information and technology in business model design, and all aspects of the business to create business success. The role may also execute on some or all-digital initiatives.
    •  Determine digital strategy throughout Discovery Insure Group (with CDO, CIO, COO and product and market delivery teams) and champion delivery of the agreed digital strategy throughout the organization.
    •  Drive digital engagement taking full responsibility for all online presence and engagement activity within Discovery Insure Group.
    •  Champion the process of digital transformation in Discovery Insure Group across product development and provide digital knowledge input into customer and proposition development.
    •  Manage the transition to new integration technologies that are being introduced into Discovery Insure Group.

    Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to

    • Works with product and market teams as well as CDO, COO, CIOs, and other C-level executives to deliver on the digital vision for the enterprise, and to identify the opportunities for differentiating digital capabilities and solutions within the global Discovery Insure offering.
    • Leads the process to identify and evaluate internal digital asset capabilities and strengths. Assesses external digital opportunities inputs to making the best decisions on business strategy given digital realities.
    • Supports the development of the digital business strategy and road map, and ensures its integration with the group strategic planning process, and the resulting business strategy and plans.
    • Ensures that Discovery Insure Group is developing the digital assets and capabilities that will be needed to thrive in the mid-term and long-term.
    • Acts as a champion and change agent in leading the changes required to create and sustain Discovery Insure Group digital capabilities.
    • Defines and reports on metrics that represent progress against digital goals
    • Create and maintain digital standards to ensure best quality digital products and experience.
    • Measurable: Long-term cost to business of maintaining the product, and effective user engagement.
    • Drive Digital innovation to ensure that the business remains at the cutting edge of technology, and in line with current and future digital trends and user expectations. Success is measured by successfully implementing solutions and driving workshops with greater audiences on new technologies and trends.
    • Drive digital usability analysis to provide insights and measurements to continuously improve the digital product experience. Measurable: effective user engagement.
    • Product to digital conceptualization to provide sound guidance and governance in the process from concept, to feasibility testing, to implementation. Success measure is implementation of standards, risk management through testing and prototyping, and the application of such feedback into the final developed product.
    • Design alignment to provide guidance to UX/UI teams regarding global best practice standards and internal digital standards. Success measure is implementation of standards into the final developed product.
    • System alignment: provide guidance and collaborate with system teams in order to implement new technology, maintain global standards and achieve business goals. Success is measured by the success of point 1 above.
    • Internal processes: Implement new processes and software (where applicable) to improve product delivery and efficiencies to meet business goals. Success measures are implementation of new process/software and increased productivity of affected teams
    • Digital SME for Global markets: Provide guidance to international markets, existing and potential clients, regarding digital standards, strategies and innovation. Success is measured by creating and maintaining such relationships and sharing of knowledge and practices with other teams.
    • Provide on-the-ground support for experience design and user experiences design teams: Due to the global nature of our team, the purpose would be to support local delivery teams in the absence of our global colleagues. Success is measured by effective decision-making and maintaining productivity.

    Key Purpose

    To take guided ownership in the design and modification of business intelligence and MIS systems. The analyst will interact with the business stakeholders and subject matter experts in order to understand their problems and needs and produce business dashboards and analytical solutions.

    Java & Python Big Data Developer - Data Science BI

    Key Purpose

    Implement and maintain Machine Learning models and solutions. Interpret requirements provided by business and produce effective Big Data solutions. Programming exposure for code transformations and integrating the big data solution with existing systems.  Develop information solutions from a variety of sources for both structured and unstructured data.  Technical ownership of Big Data and Machine Learning solutions for structured and unstructured data.

    Senior Configuration Analyst

    Key Purpose             

    This role is required to ensure that the necessary configuration management mechanisms are implemented to identify, control and track the consistency of artefacts deployed across multiple runtime instances around the globe. This includes versions of Infrastructure, Database and Software Configuration.

    Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to

    • Implement, design, and integrate multiple configuration sources to ensure alignment of verified versions deployed across environments
    • Design and implement change process for requesting, approving and applying changes autonomously using ITSM portal
    • Ensure that all configuration changes are certified and applied via the CICD pipeline.
    • Identifying and Cataloguing system-wide configuration dependencies and rules across environments
    • Identify configuration and dependency faults and drive problem resolution
    • Ensure that configuration metadata such as compute resource, endpoint configuration, DB and messaging configuration is centrally managed and organized

    Key Purpose

    To provide support to the Reputation Management function and to contribute to the delivery of professional and efficient influencer relations. To ensure that media and other audiences have a clear and continued understanding of the company’s strategy, performance, products and key initiatives.
