    Field Sales Consultant Mainstream

    To sell and promote Distell Brand portfolio to customers with a specific geographical area by creating brand awareness and building brands in line with strategic objectives
    Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

    • Drive Market share: Driving RRSP
    • Power Pack Compliance: Price driven promotions and Drive power pack compliance agreements with customers
    • Build partnerships with customers: Call strike rate and 4 A score compliance vs non-compliance
    • Drive continuous improvement and implement business improvement initiatives and share and implement new ideas regarding sales and improving effectiveness of sales force
    • Take responsibility for own development and contribute to team effectiveness and Displaying the Distell values

    The Successful Candidate Must Have The Following Experience/skills

    HR Practitioner

    A strategic thinker with a high level of analytical skills will be responsible for building and developing trusted relationships with relevant stakeholders to facilitate the delivery of world class HR service to both management
    and employees. The ideal candidate should have solid experience with HR practices and employee management and will communicate with functional leads to express new ideas and suggest solutions, considering budget
    limitations and our company culture. Ultimately, the candidate should be able to act as a consultant on human resources management and organizational changes. The area of responsibility includes functionally diverse workforce teams across Sales, Distribution and Trade Marketing.

    Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

    • Act as a trusted advisor to line management and employees
    • Consult with line management and provide daily HR guidance
    • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention
    • Delivering an effective and efficient HR and employee relations service to the business to support the overall business plans
    • Drive all recruitment and talent review outcomes with due consideration to both the employment equity process and talent management process
    • Screen, interview, assess, and evaluate internal and external candidates using various reliable recruiting and selection tools/methods and present qualified candidate shortlist to hiring manager
    • Effective on-boarding & induction of new staff members
    • Complete exit interviews and monitor retention risks
    • Career / Individual Development Plans defined and implemented
    • Implement the training and development plan in line training budget and timing requirements
    • Assist and advise line management in all aspects of labour relations and to timeously assist with queries to support sound employee relations
    • Ensure effective communication with relevant stakeholders including Shopstewards and Union Officials to facilitate sound relations.
    • Facilitate Performance Management and drive the completion of KPA / goal setting, assist managers where necessary to improve one-on-one interactions and manage poor performance
    • Ensure that all relevant legislative requirements are adhered to in order to minimise risk for the business
    • Analyzing trends and metrics
    • Ensure SAP HR System integrity is maintained at all times through accurate data capture and audits of the system
    • Design, support and/or implement ad hoc HR related projects
    • Monitor and track regional Employment Equity figures and propose corrective initiatives where required
    • Coordinate and administer change management /employee engagement initiatives

    The Successful Candidate Must Have The Following Experience/skills

    • Applicants must have a relevant degree/diploma in Human Resources, Labour Law or Industrial
    • Psychology
    • 3 – 5 years HR Generalist experience
    • FMCG (Sales and Distribution) experience is preferred
    • Interpersonal skills
    • Sound communication skills
    • Analytical skills
    • High attention to detail
    • Computer literacy (MS Office)
    • IR and conflict management skills
    • Good planning and organising skills
    • Highly organised, self-motivated and disciplined and strong sense of confidentiality

    Policy & Regulatory Analyst

    To determine the commercial implications, for the Distell business, of the global alcohol policy and regulatory environment, and provide advocacy and lobbying support to Distell’s country and regional management teams.

    Key performance areas would include, but are not limited to:

    Defining Value at Stake and Value at Risk

    • Build arguments to reflect the :
      • Value at Stake (total value created or destroyed by the potential socio-political change) and
      • Value at Risk (direct potential Group financial loss from same)
    • Work with the finance department to translate risk estimates into income statement scenarios

    Data analysis

    • Define, collect, and update the PRA dataset covering internal (company) and external data
    • Work with the data management team to ensure that data is updated on a regular basis
    • Analysis of the above data and production of reports proposing the way forward on an issue
    • Specify, design, build and maintain an appropriate database and data warehouse.
    • Full grasp of regulatory and commercial data with the intention of informing business decision making

    Hypothesis-driven analysis

    • Work with the Head of Public Policy and Regulatory Affairs to define hypothesis-driven analysis that will support the Group’s policy and regulatory lobbying.
    • Translate policy questions into discrete analysis questions, and execute the same, owning all associated activities such as sourcing and management of data, and definition and creation of solutions.
    • Work closely with other parts of CARA and the broader business to craft coherent policy narratives based on the outputs of the analysis that will be tailored for particular internal and external stakeholders, using appropriate communication and graphic display.

    Market access

    • Map and propose new market opportunities for our category in various regions based on excise dispensation or any regulatory advantage
    • Analyse the trade environment and propose most cost effective route to market - tariff and non-tariff barriers (including free trade agreements)
    • Influence key stakeholders on how various trade agreements are affecting our business
    • Unpack localisation or transformation opportunities for the business including incentives (tax breaks)
    • Support the business on competition commission submissions for M&A activities
    • To develop the base infrastructure to monitor geo-political risk and make sense of implications for the business
    • To create a holistic picture of the Distell trade regulatory environment and identify key issues – with a view of mitigation measures

    Public policy analysis and reporting

    • Research and analyse key regulatory and policy matters and provide consolidated advice
    • Rank and prioritise policy / regulatory issues according to the business impact - including financial impact
    • Providing insight to the business on what our position is on a policy or regulatory matter
    • Researching on best practice PPRA in order to better equip the business to deal with policy issues
    • Future proof our business against forthcoming regulatory impacts,
    • Understand political landscape in preparation for M&A and regulatory actions. Map centres of power and profile influencers, and to identify and approach potential partners for long term.
    • Provide a high standard of customer service to all internal, external customers and work partners
    • Implemented new ideas and improved methods, systems and work processes which lead to higher quality, better results at same or reduced cost

    The Successful Candidate Must Have The Following Experience/skills

    • A relevant degree - Advanced (min Mcom-level), economics or econometrics
    • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
    • Strong analytical skills;
    • Strong communication skills;
    • Ability to work in a team environment, and
    • Ability to thrive in complex, unstructured environments.
    • Experience in with African markets would be an advantage
    • Alcohol industry experience
    • FMCG experience
    • Graphic visuals presentation skills
