Working as part of the Innovation team and collaborating with teams across the Enterprise IT department to solve business problems - internal and external; by coming up with creative solutions and employing future technologies that can have revolutionary impact on the bottom line.

On a day to day basis your role will involve:

• Using modern software engineering frameworks and technologies for conception, specification and development of forward-looking and also unconventional solutions is an essential part of your role
• You working in a team to create proof-of-concepts that can be tested and implemented in production development to demonstrate the sustainability of the solutions
• You handling issues related to microservices, architecture, distributed systems, middleware, infrastructure, integration

• Strong experience in building web applications
• An interest in taking on more responsibility and ownership

• Familiarity with high availability distributed systems, SOA and RESTful APIs

As Senior Front-End Developer within the Digital team you will play an integral part of our performing team, working in our new collaborative and solutions driven Agile environment.

As a Senior Developer we see your role as being 80% hand-on development and 20% of your time coaching and mentoring others. You will be seen as a lead, helping a team of developers come up with a variety of solutions. And, there will be plenty of opportunity to drive your own development.

 What we would like you to have:

•         Expert Angular / Angular JS development skills
•         Commercial experience with React and Node.js
•         Demonstrable experience with RESTful APIs and JSON
•         Good knowledge of responsive web design
•         Experience with Git or other source control systems
•         Strong ability to debug code
•         Knowledge of building performance driven websites with an understanding of network traffic, HTTP requests and other performance focused enhancements
•         Working knowledge of how to utilise manual and automated testing
•         Able to mentor and coach team members
•         An understanding of Agile working processes
