    Quality Engineer

    • Our client in Durban is requiring a Quality Engineer to join their team. The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that quality standards, systems, and processes are effectively implemented and maintained across the manufacturing operation.

    Requirements:

    • Matric (Grade 12)
    • Relevant Diploma in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field
    • Bachelor’s degree in quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, or related discipline (advantageous)
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control within automotive or steel manufacturing
    • Experience in press, weld, or metal forming environments will be advantageous
    • Working knowledge of Health and Safety requirements
    • Quality system knowledge: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Ensure all products conform to approved standards, specifications, and customer requirements
    • Support and maintain IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 systems
    • Investigate and resolve internal, supplier, and customer non-conformances
    • Lead root cause analysis and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions
    • Investigate and respond to customer quality complaints and concerns
    • Monitor and manage 4M changes (Man, Machine, Method, Material)
    • Analyse defects, trends, and process performance data to drive improvements
    • Conduct process, product, and system audits and close out findings
    • Act as a customer quality interface and support customer audits and visits
    • Maintain quality documentation, control plans, inspection standards, and test protocols
    • Prepare and present quality KPIs and reports
    • Ensure measurement equipment is calibrated and calibration schedules are maintained
    • Monitor compliance to production and quality requirements on the shop floor
    • Support the development, maintenance, and adherence to SOPs and work instructions
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and cost reduction. Provide quality-related training and support to production teams
    • Support implementation and compliance with Health and Safety standards
    • Ensure compliance with applicable legal, regulatory, and customer-specific requirements

    Production Supervisor

    • Our client in Durban is requiring a Production Supervisor to oversee and coordinate production activities to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and standard operating procedures, while effectively managing resources and supervising the production team to achieve operational targets.

    Requirements

    • Matric (Grade 12)
    • Diploma or Degree in Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Production Supervisor role within the automotive or manufacturing environment
    • Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and IATF 16949 standards

    Duties

    Tool and Die Maker

    • Our client in Durban is seeking a qualified and Trade Tested Tool and Die Maker to join their team 
    • The role involves analysing design specifications, shaping and assembling metal components, and testing completed tools to ensure accurate dimensions and efficient production.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Matric (Grade 12)
    • N4 Mechanical (preferably including Strength & Materials, Mechanical Trade Theory, and Mathematics)
    • Trade Test: Tool and Die Maker
    • Minimum 3–5 years’ relevant experience as a Tool and Die Maker

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Design and manufacture jigs and templates as production aids
    • Visualise and calculate metal shapes and tolerances
    • Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, schematics, and models
    • Prepare templates, sketches, and determine work processes
    • Compute dimensions, tolerances, and set up machine tools
    • Position, secure, measure, and machine metal or castings
    • Measure and mark metal for machining
    • Set up, operate, and maintain machine tools including milling, drilling, grinding, boring, and shaping equipment
    • Verify components using instruments such as verniers, callipers, micrometres, CMMs, and electronic devices
    • Cut, shape, fit, assemble, and disassemble tooling components using hand tools
    • Perform filing, grinding, and shimming to ensure smooth finishes
    • Assemble and fit press tooling
    • Conduct routine die maintenance, refurbishment, and improvements
    • Attend to breakdowns, identify faults, and resolve press issues with minimal downtime
    • Conduct try-outs for new and modified press dies
    • Inspect finished tools and dies for defects, smoothness, and contour accuracy
    • Identify spare part requirements

    New Business Development Manager

    • Are you a strategic individual with a passion for training excellence, and business growth? We are seeking an exceptional New Business Development Manager to lead our clients operation in East London, Eastern Cape 

    Minimum Skills and Requirements: 

    • Grade 12 (Matric) essential
    • Minimum 5 years' management experience within a training, transport, logistics, driver training, or related environment
    • Proven experience managing teams and operational functions
    • Experience in training and development programs
    • Demonstrated success in driving business growth and operational improvement
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
    • Relevant tertiary qualification in Education, Training, Business Management, Operations Management, or a related field advantageous
    • Certified Facilitator/Trainer qualification preferred
    • Assessor and/or Moderator certification advantageous

    Key Duties and Requirements:

    The successful candidate would be required, but not limited to;

    Operational Management

    • Overseeing the day-to-day operations 
    • Ensuring all training programs are delivered efficiently and in accordance with company and legislative requirements
    • Develop and implement operational policies, procedures and best practices 
    • Monitoring academy performance and implementing improvement initiatives
    • Manage the facilities, training equipment, vehicles and other academy resources 

    Staff Leadership and Management

    • Lead, mentor and manage trainers, instructors and administrative personnel 
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and development support 
    • Ensuring adequate staffing levels and effective workforce planning 

    Training and Development

    • Driving continuous improvement and expansion of driver training programs 
    • Ensuring training materials remain current and aligned with industry standards
    • New training opportunities and business development initiatives 
    • Promoting a culture of learning, safety and professional development
    • Where qualified, facilitate training sessions and provide practical instruction when required

    Compliance and Quality Assurance

    • Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, health and safety regulations and industry standards
    • Maintain accurate training records and reporting systems 
    • Monitoring training quality and learner outcomes 
    • Managing audits, specifications and accreditation requirements where applicable 

    Business Development and Growth 

    • Developing and implementing strategies to grow business services
    • Marketing of the academy, building and maintaining relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners, namely the Service Education Training Authorities (SETA's)
    • Identify opportunities for new programs, certifications and market expansion 
    • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance monitoring
