    Application Support Team Lead

    Key Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Lead and manage a team of Support Specialists to ensure optimal performance, clear role definition, and coherence in deliverables.
    • Oversee the maintenance, support, and active monitoring of all applications, ensuring a 99.9% uptime, timely updates, and patching of systems.
    • Drive continuous improvement in processes and assist with requirements gathering and development of new systems.
    • Ensure compliance with data governance and IT security protocols through regular user access audits and maintaining a risk register.
    • Implement troubleshooting procedures and service restorations for systems and peripherals, and analyze technical performance against industry standards.
    • Facilitated and sign off on the testing and implementation of new modules and enhancements, ensuring customer satisfaction and system reliability.
    • Manage and assisting with the management of IT related projects.
    • Prioritize and manage tickets to meet agreed SLA timeframes and facilitate priority board sessions with business stakeholders.
    • Responsible for ERP and non-ERP system support, basic network support, and onsite troubleshooting including EUD first line support.
    • Actively supporting queries, reconciliations, and issues around Forecasting as well as assisting with general sales reporting reconciliation issues.
    • Ensure su?cient team backfill capacity and take accountability for IT stock management, including setting up new EUDs for sta? on Active Directory.
    • Any other reasonable ad hoc requests from the CTO within the successful candidate’s skills and abilities.

    Educational Requirements    

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field / equivalent work experience.

    Experience Requirements    

    • Proven experience leading and managing teams.
    • Extensive systems knowledge of the applications and ERP systems (Syspro) used in a media logistics.
    • Extensive experience and knowledge working in a media distribution environment, understanding how the business operates as well as where and how the systems support the relevant business
    • Extensive experience in forecasting troubleshooting, reconciliations, requisitions generation and general sales reporting issues and reconciliations.
    • Knowledge and experience with technology and application development
    • Knowledge of IT governance compliance, cyber and privacy compliance will be
    • Knowledge of HTTPS, SQL, REST, SOAP, C#, Python and / or Android Operating system will be
    • Solid knowledge and experience in system stack architecture with a reasonable understanding of networking, server infrastructure backup requirements.

    SHEQ Administrator

    • Novus Print: Montague Gardens is seeking to appoint a SHEQ Administrator with working experience in a manufacturing environment to carry out all administration and document control including all SHEQ audits and reports, H&S training, external supplier contract management. The successful candidate will report to the Senior SHEQ Officer.

    KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

    • Manage and ensure control of ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 documents
    • Maintain the ISO system electronically to enhance the paperless concept.
    • Manage and track spending of the general budget with meticulous record-keeping and assist with the preparation of new budgets.
    • Sourcing and prepare training schedules for the year, liaise with different departments on when training will take place and arrange accordingly.
    • Maintaining all safety files and records as outlined in the Health and Safety Act
    • Drive the implementation of the documenting, signing, and recording of the relevant emergency procedure appointment in terms of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and ensure availability for auding purposes.
    • Ensure all building related documentation such as the Certificate of Occupation, Exemptions, Permit application etc is up to date and available for auditing purpose.
    • Record keeping of Letters of appointment and good standing and maintaining the legal registry.
    • Arrange Health and Safety Board meetings and prepare agenda and take minutes.
    • Distribution of Health and Safety Board minutes, follow up and ensuring implementation of decision and keeping of records and documents relating to meetings and decisions.
    • Implement evacuation and emergency communication plans.
    • Administration and the implementation of operational procedures for activities such as fire prevention and firefighting, traffic control, guarding and patrolling physical property, and investigation of accidents and criminal acts.
    • Keeping records and documents on safety inspections, findings, and code sections violated.
    • Ensuring proper records are kept of all injuries / accidents and findings documented and compliance with the COID Act.
    • Co-ordinating and ensuring all contractor agreements and clearance documents to operate on site are kept up to date and available.
    • Administration and record keeping, follow -up and documenting of Health and Safety induction training documentation for new employees including plant orientation.
    • Recording of waste disposed to landfill on iPWIS (Integrated pollutant and waste system)

    HR Manager

    • The successful candidate will report directly to the Executive Manager and play a key role in driving people strategy and operational excellence within the business unit.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Partner effectively with business, delivering effective and responsive HR services aligned to business and group requirements
    • Drive a high-performance culture through the implementation of performance management processes, including biannual reviews, coaching, and continuous feedback
    • Lead organisational design and transformation initiatives, and implement learning and development strategies within the business unit  
    • Manage and facilitate employee relations processes, including disciplinary, grievance, and consultation procedures, ensuring compliance with South African labour legislation
    • Represent the company in engagements with unions and at the CCMA  
    • Oversee HR administration and transactional processes, including onboarding, remuneration queries, performance reviews, and terminations
    • Ensure compliance with labour legislation, including the Skills Development Act, BCEA. EEA and LRA.
    • Implement and support wellness initiatives
    • Manage HR budget components, including expense reconciliation and headcount planning  
    • Provide accurate, timely HR reporting and insights to support decision-making

    Educational Requirements    

    • Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related field
    • Registration with the South African Board for People practices (SABPP) will be advantageous 

    Experience Requirements    

    • 5 to 8 years’ experience in a generalist HR role
    • Strong knowledge of South African employment legislation and HR best practices
    • Experience in employee relations, organisational development, and performance management
    • Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office
    • Sound understanding of business operations and commercial principles.
