    Motor Accident Field Manager

    What will you do?

    Santam’s Claims Services has a position available for a Field Investigations Manager: Motor who will be based in Auckland Park. The successful incumbent will report to the Head: Direct and Merit claims. 

    The Field Investigations Manager position will include the management of the field assessors. The office is responsible for assessing the merits of motor accident claims, adjudication of these claims and after care provision to clients. The position also entails compiling management information, ensuring client satisfaction and rendering a management function.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    •    The incumbent will be specifically responsible for execution and building relationships across divisions, external stakeholders, intermediaries and clients.
    •    Influencing and fostering a culture of performance aimed at world class service.
    •    Meet the prescribed client delight satisfaction and net promoter scores.
    •    Build and maintain relationships with Santam Motor claims service providers.
    •    Responsible for the continuous development and performance of reporting Field Assessors in the Claims division.
    •    Responsible for management of service levels and quality of claims.

    What will make you successful in this role?

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
    •    Relevant post Matric qualification
    •    Relevant Insurance related qualifications
    •    5 years’ experience in short-term insurance services and products
    •    Motor accident investigation and technical experience 
    •    Experience in managing a team on 2IC level.
    •    Must be computer literate
    •    Valid driver’s license code EB (08)

    Claims Service Consultant

    What will you do?

    The Claims Service Consultant (CSC) for Field Assessment claims is accountable for the claims end to end and is responsible for coordinating and overseeing all actions on claims in this processing channel. The successful incumbent will be responsible for communicating with the client/broker from beginning to end and is the one contact person for the client/broker. Furthermore, they are also responsible for the execution on the settlement decision from the field assessor by finalizing the settlement with the insured/broker after the assessor have confirmed the outcome of the merit and quantum. Effectively maintains oversight of all relevant claims tasks and manages the claims handling process to achieve timely settlement and to minimize leakage.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    •    Validation of the claim 
    •    Ensuring the claim is assessment ready 
    •    Adjusting estimates
    •    Driving the client experience
    •    Requesting for an assessor to be appointed
    •    Updating notes on the claim 
    •    Communicating to all parties concerned 
    •    Processing of payments 
    •    Rejection letters (where applicable) 
    •    Appointing service providers (where applicable) 

    What will make you successful in this role?

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
    •    Grade 12/ Matric 
    •    Minimum 2 years’ relevant work experience in short-term claims.
