    • The Key Purpose of this role is to work towards achieving growth in volumes sold, growth in market share and increased competitiveness through providing market driven differentiated service that builds sustainable competitiveness within clearly identified segments.

    Key Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Achieve sales targets for assigned areas.

    Inventory Analyst

    • The key purpose of this role the management of all Finished Goods (FG) inventory within the logistics supply chain ensuring product quality standards met & in compliance to all inventory governance processes & controls. All physical movement of inventory is correctly reflected in SAP, inventory differences investigated, resolved & reported.

    Key Roles & Responsibilities:

    FG Quality Management:

    • FG Inventory quality fundamentals standards are adhered to as per DPO & VPO requirements
    • FG Inventory accurately blocked in SAP with physical blocking mechanism in place as per VPO/DPO standards for quality related & obsolescence stock
    • Ensure compliance to the freshness & rotation policy as per VPO & DPO standards
    • Inventory count are recorded accurately with quantities & BBD x SKU& bin cards clearly displayed as per DPO & VPO standards
    • Inventory concession policy applied & approved as per VPO product age standards
    • FG Inventory accurately blocked in SAP with physical blocking mechanism in place as per VPO/DPO standards for quality related & obsolescence stock
    • All FG salvages are repacked as per VPO & DPO standards
    • All obsolescence stock are decanted as per standard policy & procedure Inventory Management
    • Independent inventory counts conducted on all FG Inventory reconciled to SAP inventory . Inventory count differences identified, investigated, resolved & reported. Un-resolved inventory count differences escalated to BLM / DCLM & RLM with commentary & action plans
    • Breakages, Obsolescence & salvages stock are signed-off & processed in SAP accurately
    • All daily controls, open shipments for T1 & T2 are reviewed & resolved. All claims are processed timeously with signed-off backup documentation & SAB re-imbursed
    • POC & T2 driver route settlement corrections reviewed, approved & signed-off
    • SCO BUD vs ACT costs are monitored with gaps & action plans reports

    Fleet Expenditure Against the Budget:

    • Governance and Risk
    • All Documentation signed-off by relevant persons, filed & securely stored as per Inventory Control Policy - Inventory stock & T2 shipment packs, gate register, etc.
    • Security cameras in key points on site & random verification conducted
    • 3 Point independent checks are conducted on all T1 & T2 shipments for departure & arrival - Random checks conducted to ensure compliance
    • All physical movements of FG Inventory are transacted in SAP accurately. T1 & T2 movements, Packaging receipts validated by line counters, write-offs are verified against signed-off documentation & gate sheets

    Brewery Controller Newlands

    • The Key Purpose of this role is to guarantee financial excellence at the brewery, implement stringent controls, foster accountability. Ensure the reliability of cost accounting key figures and/or P/L reporting for the brewery. Additionally, prioritize operational discipline, enhance visibility and predictability for price and performance in advance of month-end closing.

    Key Roles and Responsibilities:

    Cost Leadership

    • Oversight of the plant's closing cycle, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the results including transfer price, VIC/VLC, ZBB and plant asset booking. 
    • Ensure first time right postings, Avoid accounting errors and postings of manual journals.
    • Assume responsibility for managing plant inventory and capital expenditure (CAPEX). This involves ensuring compliance with booking procedures, onsite management, and reviewing internal process compliance. The primary goal is to ensure that asset bookings conform to PRC and IFRS standards, asset management processes align with internal control policies, and relevant processes operate as efficiently as possible.

    Controls and Compliance

    • Serve as the first line of defense and oversee the execution of controls as defined by Internal Control 
    • Ensuring that the brewery's assigned controls accurately reflect the reality of the processes. This includes reviewing the PR-GR cycle, co-product lifecycle, and returnable package management.
    • Oversee both internal and external tax reporting for the plant. Work closely with the tax team to ensure timely completion of tax filings, respond to inquiries, and meet tax inspection requirements mandated by the local authority

    Forecasting & Planning

    • Support brewery operations, Zone Financial Planning and PPM teams on the forecast by providing inputs for LE & 1 YP

    Cost Management 

    • Analyze costs, variances on yields and consumptions
    • Reasonability/accuracy of accruals
    • Reconciliation of utility costs  (water, electricity, effluent) between internal and municipal readings & ensure accuracy of the accrual
    • GRN Compliance (Open PO Management, UOM receipting accuracy)
    • Review and understanding of the reallocation journals at the plant. Root cause analysis and process improvement to reduce number of journals.
    • Approve journals and ensure DAG compliance
    • Co-products – Ensuring that its accurately accounted for (Invoicing completeness, sundry debtor aging)
    • Returnable packaging – Accurate Accounting + Controls
    • MBFU recharge reconciliation (Missing, broken, foreign, unwashable glass)

    Inventory Management 

    • Ensure Inventory management compliance of FG’s, RM and Spare Parts 
    • Stock count controls (Quarterly stock count review, reconciliation and ensure that differences are posted) Monthly Review & Quarterly attendance
    • Stock movements analysis and investigate anomalies

    Capex Management

    • Ensuring capitalization is captured correctly 
    • Validation of Capitalization to the plant 
    • Physical verification of assets 
    • Impairments (identify, and request bookings)
    • ZBB and UPP policy compliance

    Tax Compliance

    • Invoicing Management and the full scope of internal and external tax reporting for the plant
    • Excise validation – calculated and shared by the BSC. SARS/RA POC at the plant
    • Excise rebate liaison with RA and ensuring the decanting certificate is issued
    • Collaborate closely with the Business Control Center (BCC) tax team to complete tax filings, respond to inquiries, and  meet tax inspection requirements from the local authority
    • Maintain a network among HQ tax, BCC tax, tax compliance, planning, and all other tax-related routines

    Financial Planning & Analysis

    • Support the Financial Planning and PPM teams on the forecast by providing inputs for LE & 1 year plan

    Returnable Packaging Execution Specialist

    • The key purpose of this role is to plan and manage the container population requirements for returnable container products so as to ensure adequate populations to support sales. Analyze the container performance metrics to ensure optimal container population utilization.

    Energy & Fluids Specialist

    • The Key Purpose of this role is to lead the Process Engineering function in the Brewery. Optimize the generation and utilization of all utilities within the process. Identifying and delivering initiatives to deliver step change performance improvement and process stability in order to realize true process capability.

    Brewing Yeast Specialist

    • The Key Purpose of this role is to manage the operational and technical aspects of yeast propagation and yeast management within the brewery cellars department ensuring compliance to the SAB Ltd and global brewing standards.

    Key Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Manage the full end-to-end process of yeast propagation in alignment with business requirements
    • Manage yeast storage and handling, and coach others to the requirements thereof
    • Manage wort, yeast, water and fermentation process and microbiology

    Intercompany Manager

    • The Key Purpose of the Intercompany Manager is to provide strategic oversight, and take ownership of the Africa Zone Intercompany related activities and the full end-to-end accounting of the Intercompany transactions, across all twelve (12) markets.

    Key Roles and Responsibilities: 

    • Managing the health of all Intercompany balance sheet accounts in terms of ageing, validity of transactions within the account, debit transactions in credit accounts and vice versa

    VPO Manager

    • The Key Purpose of this job is to implement, entrench and improve the use and effectiveness of VPO in the plant to deliver business results.

    Key Roles & Responsibilities:

    • Ensure compliance with Safety standards and guidelines and drive a safety culture to ensure safety in the work environment.
    • Act as the Management Pillar Owner for the Plant.
