    Analyst: Due Diligence

    Specialist: Business Support Systems

    The main purpose of the role is to support the Business Support Systems (BSS) strategy and refine requirements for delivering the necessary technology service to the business needs and provide technical leadership on projects with respect to analysis, design and documentation of the BSS technical solution architecture.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • To specify, develop and implement world-class services/products solutions in line with the business requirements.
    • Conduct research on and keep abreast on the latest technology trends and provide architectural inputs for development of new products and services.
    • To carryout research on network impact analysis for various business requirements (i.e. new products/services) in conjunction with the various Engineering divisions.

    Senior Specialist: Competition Law

    The main purpose of the role is to assist the Vodacom Group Competition Law function in:
     

    • Ensuring that Vodacom Group audits subsidiary companies are compliant with competition laws, regulations and rules; and relevant company policies, codes and standards; and to assist in the implementation of adequate systems and processes to monitor and enforce compliance;
    • Engagements with the relevant competition authorities, in relation to any processes, investigations, information requests; and
    • Providing competition law support to Vodacom Group and its subsidiary companies as required.
    • In addition to assisting the support function provided by Vodacom Group Limited in relation to its subsidiaries, the role includes a primary competition law compliance responsibility for Vodacom (Proprietary) Limited
       

    Your responsibilities will include:
     

    • Institutionalise and manage competition law, policy and where applicable voluntary standards compliance in Vodacom organisations;
    • Implementation of effective systems and processes to ensure compliance with competition law and regulations, policies, rules, guidelines and industry standards;
    • Maintenance and monitoring of the competition law and policy universes for Vodacom Group and its subsidiary companies;
    • Assist in the development and implementation of competition law and policy compliance management standards and procedures;
    • Stay up to date with developments in the competition law, regulatory and governance environment and keep abreast of relevant new policies and legislation as well as changes to existing legislation;
    • Conduct compliance risk assessments and develop compliance risk management strategies;
    • Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
    • Training on compliance related matters;
    • Monitor systems which deals with the enforcement of compliance with relevant laws and regulations, policies, rules and codes and industry standards;
    • Preparation of reports to various audit, risk and compliance committees
    • Assist in managing competition law investigations and legal processes against Vodacom, including amongst others, the action and follow up on information requests received in this regard
    • Assist with action and follow up on information requests received from the Competition Authority in third party investigations
    • Assisting in providing competition law support to Vodacom Group audits subsidiary companies as required, including but not limited to providing legal opinions
    • Briefing and managing relationships with external lawyers and legal counsel

    Job Knowledge:
     

    • General knowledge of the South African and rest of Africa Legislative System; (Desirable)
