    CSR Programmes Manager

    JOB SUMMARY

    The main purpose of this position is to lead programmes under KFC’s citizenship agenda through the management, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of all aspects of KFC’s corporate social investment (CSI) and social purpose activities, as part of the KFC Social Responsibility Trust.

    To ensure that KFC’s engagement with society is meaningful and extends into areas where KFC can use its unique expertise and role in society to build the capacity of the country, while driving employee volunteerism.

    This includes identifying opportunities to bring on new beneficiaries, develop growth plans, ensure that funds spent by the Trust are used as per the Trust mandate & truly deliver the best return for the brand as we reinforce KFC as a brand with purpose and a company that cares.

    Requirements

    KEYRESPONSIBILITIES: 

    Add Hope & Other Programme Management

    • Lead implementation of Add Hope Trust.
    • Ownership of Trust operations administration to drive excellence through transparency and ensuring that the initiative reflects the strategic intents and values of the Trust through the selection of beneficiaries, the management of the programme, the monitoring and evaluation
    • Strategic ownership of the National Beneficiary relationships and engagement and provide LSM beneficiary thought leadership.
    • Elevate the CSI components in the programmes and leverage the partnerships and relationships to make a bigger impact on the communities in which we do business
    • To lead the development of a strategy to engage Franchisees, Team members and head office staff that brings our social responsibility to life within the KFC business.
    • Develop strategy and oversee implementation plan for internal brand activation of all social responsibility initiatives, including the development and implementation of the employee volunteer programme.
    • Relationship management through spearheading the CSI conversation throughout the KFC organisation (including the design of the RSC volunteer programme) as well as external stakeholders, building beneficiary relationships through on the ground site visits, analysis and implementation of recommendations of the monitoring & evaluation results, building industry know-how and identifying partnership opportunities that will strengthen the partnership.

    Other CSI Initiatives

    • Oversight of other CSI programmes and designing for impact.
    • Partnership with cross functional teams to leverage breakthrough initiatives that can live in the CSI space
    • Management of the Harvest, Mini-Cricket, Scholarship and Supplier Inclusivity programmes

    Team Management and Budgets

    • Lead and manage a team of Trust administrators
    • Ensure alignment and partnership and deliver support to Marketing Team around the marketing & communication of the KFC Social Impact Programmes

    COMMUNICATION REQUIRED

    • This role is required to engage and interact with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, with a key focus in South Africa and a support in Africa.

    The role will be required to build strong relationships and work cross-functionally across the RSC team:

    • Add Hope Trustee Liason
    • Internal Communications Team
    • Marketing team and Finance as core partners
    • Legal, Operations & REX, Supply Chain
    • Franchisees
    • LSM’s
    • NGO’s and Add Hope beneficiaries
    • Agency partners and vendors
    • Members of the media/press
    • Other key stakeholders

    RELATED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:

    Previous CSR experience within a corporate environment advantageous

    • 6+ years’ experience in CSI or related roles
    • 3 years team management experience
    • 3 years agency management experience
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in managing budgets more than R50 million

    Design Coordinator

    Description

    Supporting the Design Manager in coordinating plan approval for all new restaurants and remodels to ensure they are designed and planned according to rigid KFC Africa Standards. Supporting design team in invigorating new design standards to improve the customer experience and managing the maintenance of the KFC Africa Development Library. By supporting the development and REX (Restaurant Operational Excellence) team in developing design standards/ site specific design layouts. 

    • Maintain updated project data base and pipeline for each site (franchise & equity). This would include storage and distribution of drawings, photographs, scoping reports, sign off documentation etc.
    • Support Development Managers and Franchisees to ensure that 90% of assets are on the remodel cycle.
    • Support the team in driving KFC Building Green Standards, including reporting thereof. 
    • Maintain and manage KFC Africa Development Library and ensure that brand standards and specifications are up to date and shared with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Manage relationships with KFC and their Suppliers.
    • Facilitate the communication between stakeholders to ensure all stakeholders are up to date with the latest design specifications and brand standards.
    • Support Africa Design Team in executing a design and asset strategy related to ‘building the big brand’ for KFC throughout Africa. When necessary, produce and provide site plans and internal layouts to support development team in delivering pipeline.
    • Support Design Team in producing generic designs including 3D visualizations and brand standard documentation.
    • Maintain a full knowledge of current planning, building and health codes, regulations and ordinances, and other associated standards and ensure these are reflected in current KFC design standards.
    • Post implementation review and recommendations, including preparation of detailed briefing and instructions to consultants, franchisees and other internal stakeholders.
    • Including In-restaurant training up to Leading a shift (LAS)

    Requirements

    • Architectural / Interior Architectural degree essential.  A Masters in Interior Architecture or Masters in Architecture is preferred.
    • 5 years working experience is essential.
    • A strong interest in retail design and creating great customer experiences.
    • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Blue Beam, Corel Draw and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Indesign) and other 3D visualization software.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal as you will be engaging with The Development Team and Restaurant Operations Excellence Team (REX).
