    Director, EEMEA, Bill Pay Product Commercialization

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute Mastercard’s carded billpay commercialization strategy to drive adoption of Mastercard solutions and grow share of spend in the bill pay segment
    • Establish and own the Bill pay product sales pipeline, working with market development and account teams across the EEMEA region to drive adoption of our solutions with customers, channel partners, merchants, and government authorities
    • Lead customer workshops and complementary programs to support sales enablement objectives
    • Provide ecosystem subject matter expertise, identifying product opportunities and informing product management priorities
    • Lead cross-functional initiatives with internal product teams and business owners, as well as market teams and customers to keep stakeholders informed of ecosystem needs
    • Launch programs to engage customers, hosting events at Mastercard and representing our solutions at industry events
    • Shape both executive-level and customer-facing narratives with strong analytic support, with the experience and the penchant to become a subject matter expert in bill pay and government segments
    • Maintain strong cross-functional working relationships to ensure alignment with global, regional, and market priorities

    • Deep experience and knowledge of merchants in the bill pay segment (telecom, insurance, rent, education, insurance, education)
    • Market development mindset, with experience identifying and solving customer challenges
    • Experience in roles with ownership of product management and business development objectives

    Director, Product Management, Emerging Markets Acceptance Solutions

    Role: 

    • Drive tangible data-driven business outcomes at the product level, manage to a quantified scorecard continuously monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators and optimizing product performance
    • Interpret and apply program vision and strategy to product strategy and roadmap for the Products they manage, clearly communicating it to key stakeholders on an ongoing basis
    • Leverage the Studio framework to manage the delivery of ongoing innovation and enhancements to focus Products
    • Drive a user-centric culture of data driven, test and learn experimentation, continuously assessing and enhancing the Product user experience. Partner with Delivery and Servicing teams (GCC, CTS, Biz Ops) to ensure that Products are easy to deploy and deliver a great experience during operation
    • Demonstrate depth of knowledge of their Product and the ecosystem in which it operates (e.g. regulatory, legal, technology, competitive environment). Apply this knowledge to the development of winning Product strategies
    • Demonstrate awareness of Mastercard's broader Product offering and the ability to leverage Products from other business areas to augment Product capabilities
    • Drive the delivery of key product enhancements and partner with Guild members to deliver (e.g. CX&D, Product Management – Technical)
    • Understand the Software Development Lifecycle and manage any barriers or obstacles to deliver capabilities on time and budget in partnership with the Product Management-Technical Guild.
    • Leverage data to quickly identify Product performance challenges, creating proactive plans to drive usage and revenues. Use data-driven analysis to prioritize resources to deliver against the plan
    • Ensure that the broader Mastercard organization is enabled to sell focus Products by creating compelling communications & marketing content in partnership with Marketing
    • Lead cross-functional teams (e.g. Product, Product Management-Technical, CX&D) in the development of business requirements to achieve Product objectives
    • Partner with the Guilds to create and share best practices within the Program with a focus on driving continuous improvement in the Program’s operating model
    • Drive institutionalized knowledge through the use of consistent product documentation (e.g., support documents) across the Studio framework
    • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning by leveraging the learning & development curriculum to augment existing knowledge, skills and experiences
    • Demonstrate and drive Mastercard Way behaviours through their behaviour, recognitions, coaching, and employee engagement.

    About You:

    • Product management experience 
    • 5+ years of professional experience in new innovative product development and management, client facing consulting and technology.
    • Strong understanding of the emerging technologies, merchant needs and prevailing business models.
    • Strong focus on consumer experience coupled with very strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills. Passion for the customer.
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage senior executives with ease. Ability to understand their requirements, build out plans and deliver on those. 
    • Sensitivity for multi-cultural, diverse background.
    • Proven ability to build collaborative working relationships with stakeholders at the global/regional or local level.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects, manage creative resources.
    • Strategic mindset with ability to make quick decisions in challenging, ambiguous situations. 
    • Motivated self-driver, able to manage complex/multi-geography projects with a discipline for priority-setting and follow-through.
    • Demonstrated curiosity, agility and rapid learning on competitors, technologies, and products.

    Manager, Product Management, Emerging Markets Acceptance Solutions

    • Take a data-driven approach to product enhancements, identifying opportunity areas and contributing to the Product roadmap, prioritizing work to deliver against key areas of focus
    • Understand Mastercard’s business model and take key financial or commercial factors into consideration to positively influence revenue delivery and cost efficiency
    • Leverage the Studio framework to manage the delivery of ongoing innovation and enhancements to focus Products
    • Deploy test & learn experimentation to ensure that the end user and customer experience is continuously optimized
    • Incorporate and understanding of the broader payments ecosystem into ongoing product management (e.g. regulatory, legal, technology, competitive, technology environment etc.)
    • Leverage working knowledge of Mastercard business, systems, products and customer requirements in making fact-based business and product decisions
    • Take accountability for the delivery of key product enhancements and partner with Guild members to deliver (e.g. CX&D, Product Management – Technical)
    • Understand the Software Development Lifecycle and surface any barriers or obstacles to deliver capabilities on time and budget. Proactively communicate situation and proposed solutions to senior management
    • Leverage data & dashboards to quickly identify Product performance challenges, making recommendations on proposed action plans
    • Participate in cross-functional teams (e.g. Product, Product Management-Technical, CX&D) in the development of business requirements to achieve Product objectives
    • Actively partner with the Guilds to create best practices within the Program with a focus on driving continuous improvement in the Program’s operating model and make proposals to Program leadership on enhancement opportunities
    • Drive institutionalized knowledge through the use of consistent product documentation (e.g., support documents) across the Studio framework
    • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning by leveraging the learning & development curriculum to augment existing knowledge, skills and experiences

    About You: 

    • Proven expertise in payments industry, specifically Acceptance with deep understanding of Merchants, Acquirers and other players in the acceptance ecosystem
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver products and solutions for customer needs
    • Ability to influence people at multiple levels and navigate a global, decentralized organization
    • Ability to successfully execute in a dynamic environment across multiple functional disciplines
    • Fully embraces digital world and understands its importance for future growth
    • Skilled at building and maintaining strong, productive working relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers
    • Self-starter with Initiative, passion and agility
    • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or advanced degree preferred
