    Oncology Administrator

    Description

    • Manage the oncology debtors’ book to ensure effective financial control and revenue recovery.
    • Maintain the Age Analysis in line with collection targets and follow up on outstanding accounts.
    • Submit, monitor, and follow up on medical aid claims within regulated timeframes.
    • Investigate and resolve claim rejections, short payments, and discrepancies.
    • Reconcile medical aid remittances and ensure accounts are accurately updated.
    • Monitor stale claims and escalate or resolve prior to write-off approvals.
    • Process refund requisitions and ensure supporting documentation is accurate and complete.
    • Provide operational guidance to oncology ward clerks and billing staff to support compliance with credit control processes.
    • Provide hands-on operational support during peak periods to ensure deadlines and collection targets are achieved.
    • Conduct spot-checks and audits to ensure account accuracy and adherence to billing requirements.
    • Prepare and maintain accurate reporting of collection activities, administrative records and reports.
    • Build and maintain professional relationships with medical aids, patients, and internal stakeholders.
    • Ensure strict adherence to company policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements.

    Requirements

    • Grade 12
    • A tertiary qualification will be advantageous
    • Minimum of five years’ experience as an Oncology Administrator, with supervisory or team leadership exposure
    • Proven ability to guide, develop, and motivate team members
    • Sound knowledge and experience relating to debtors’ administration and credit control in the private healthcare environment
    • Understanding of Prescribed Minimum Benefits (PMB) process, ICD-10, CPT codes, and hospital billing rules
    • In-depth knowledge of the NHN Billings Guidelines, SAOC and ICON
    • Strong interpersonal, influencing, communication and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
    • Excellent computer skills
    • Ability to work effectively within a team
    • Ability to work in a pressurised environment

    IT Support Technician

    Description

    • Install and test new software
    • Ensure functionality of the company’s core software Clinical Manager System
    • Ensure data integrity and data backups are in place
    • Ensure anti-virus software is updated, properly configured and installed on all relevant servers and work stations
    • Maintain servers and network hardware
    • Maintain computer peripheral equipment, e.g. scanners, printers, projectors, etc.
    • Maintain wired and wireless networks, desktops and server computers
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware problems
    • Setup and install computer equipment
    • Set up and maintain backup system for file servers and in-office desktop computers.
    • Troubleshoot and solve common computer problems (general software, email and internet,related issues)

    Requirements

    • Matric
    • National Diploma in Information Technology
    • 3 – 5 years’ relevant experience in a similar role
    • Advanced Computer skills is essential
    • Advanced Networking knowledge
    • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
    • Experience working on Microsoft server environments

    Bookkeeper

    Description

    • Process all income, expense, asset & liability journals as required for the accounting records to reflect accurately
    • Process the cashbooks
    • Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts on a monthly basis
    • Reconcile intercompany loan accounts
    • Prepare and post deprecation journals
    • Prepare and post standard journals
    • Prepare and post payroll journals
    • Prepare monthly accruals where required
    • Update the fixed asset register
    • Check bank reconciliation
    • Check the trial balance for correct allocations
    • Agree turnover to clinic manager reports
    • Reconcile Debtors control
    • Overall responsibility to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the accounting records (trial balance) on Pastel
    • Ensure all monthly deadlines are met for month end cut-off
    • Prepare the audit file and audit schedules as requested by the external auditors
    • Prepare the Vat 201 and ensure that VAT is paid on time
    • Ensure that receipts of VAT are filled and that any discrepancies are followed up
    • Prepare the EMP201 and ensure that PAYE is paid on time
    • Prepare the repairs and maintenance, salaries, overtime & sessional reports on a monthly basis
    • Prepare other reports for management as requested
    • General office duties
    • Filing
    • Check the accuracy of the sessional payment calculation
    • Prepare the daily cash flow
    • Reconcile petty cash
    • Reception cover

    Requirements

    • Matric
    • Accounting/Bookkeeping Diploma
    • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a financial role
    • General accounting knowledge and financial skills
    • Good written and verbal communication skills
    • Numerate, accurate, methodical, customer centric and attention to detail
    • Computer literacy is essential, especially MS Word and Excel
    • Experience in working on Pastel Evolution will be advantageous

    • Proven experience as a Shift Leader or Deputy Unit Manager in an ICU setting
    • Experience in the Cardiothoracic Speciality will be an advantage
    • A minimum 5 years’ experience in the relevant specialty
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication and administrative skills
    • Excellent Leadership qualities and mentoring skills
    • Accurate record keeping and the management of stock
    • Commitment to initiate and implement continuous improvement projects
    • Excellent MS Office computer skills, i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
    • Knowledge of the Kronos System
