REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 10. Grade 12 (added advantage). Valid Driver’s License (added advantage).
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills (must be bilingual). Ability to follow & execute given instructions.
• Good physical health, basic skill & know how of doing physical work. A hard-working self-disciplined person.
• 01-year relevant experience in general work related to Sanitation Section within Local Government Authority. 

DUTIES

• Responsible for loading and off-loading of materials and equipment of the section with protected hands and safety tools. Put out traffic signs to warn traffic about workers next to municipal roads during excavation works.
• Clean in and around the working area of responsibility with broom and various manual labour equipment tools to ensure clean environment. Do any labour related work when requested by either the supervisor or the superintendent of the section.
• Execution of all legal instructions from the supervisor to ensure productivity and smooth running of the section. Perform any other related Ad Hoc tasks and duties as requested or required by management (supervisor) from time to time.

REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12. Technical Qualification in plumbing will be an added advantage. Plumbing Trade test will be an added advantage. Welding and fitting certificates will be an added advantage. Valid C1 Driver’s license with PDP. Computer Literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Excellent Communication & Interpersonal skills.
• Skills & Competencies associated with vocation: adaptability, communication, assertiveness/leadership skills, conflict & stress management, negotiation skills & problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of plan layout. Hard working, self-motivated and self-disciplined person. 2 3 years’ experience in general maintenance of pipes, fixtures and other plumbing tasks with a Water Board or Water Services Authority.

DUTIES

• Supervise and control the team’s daily productivity and tasks. Schedule work orders for team. Ensures the safety of the team. Administrative duties and reporting on work orders completed to Foreman/Superintendent.
• Responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance of pipes, fixtures and other plumbing/water related infrastructure used for water distribution under supervision of the plumber. Install, repair and maintain underground water piping systems.
• Administration management related to functions associated with the post including reporting, signing of leave, etc. Perform any other related Ad Hoc task and duties as requested or required by management (supervisor) from time to time.

REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12. National Diploma or NQF level 6 Qualification in Water Care, Wastewater treatment & Chemical Engineering. B-Degree in Water Care, Wastewater treatment and Chemical Engineering will be an added advantage. DUTIES

• Operational Function Managing all municipal wastewater treatment Works by: Ensuring that all treatment works are optimised to produce treated effluent that complies with legislations. Daily optimisation, calculation and recording of chemical dosing and sludge wasted and flows. Optimise sludge wasting, handling, dewatering and disposal for effective plant operation. Ensure operational monitoring through sampling and analysis of various process parameters. Ensure compliance monitoring is compiled to as per the Water Use Licence for the works. Ensure daily and monthly works reports are compiled, submitted and recorded. Monitoring and optimization of various unit processes and ensure necessary process changes.
• Plant Maintenance and General House Keeping Function: Ensure that maintenance team attend to breakdowns urgently. Ensure that preventative maintenance of the plant equipment’s is conducted. Ensure that maintenance record is in place. Ensure effective housekeeping of the works and safety of all personnel.
• Technical Functions: Ensure green drop administration, implementation, compliance and reporting. Industries inspection and trade effluent sampling and ensure industries compliance with municipal industrial effluent by-laws. Verification and processing of wastewater quality data  Wastewater Treatment Process, Industrial Effluent and Treated Effluent. General Administration. Perform any other related Ad Hoc tasks and duties as requested or required by management from time to time.
