    Project Manager - Somerset West

    WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

    • The Project Manager Chemical plants is responsible to Manage Chemical Plants projects in Plant Engineering within a matrix organisation to completion, on time, within budget and to specification.
    • Manage Plant Engineering Chemical Plant projects and in accordance with Project Management procedures.
    • Risk management; identifying risks and issues, developing and implement risk abatement plans.
    • Planning; develop project scope, cost and schedule to meet objectives and key requirements.
    • Perform financial analysis, including preparation of project budgets.
    • Execute projects to complete on time, within budget and to specification.
    • Continuous monitoring of project progress and reporting thereof using designated planning- and reporting instruments.
    • Control cost- and schedule variance by timeously implementing corrective actions.
    • Keep project stakeholders informed on project progress by timeous communication.

    WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

    • BEng Chemical or Mechanical Engineering degree.

    • At least 3 - 5 years’ experience in daily Project Management projects ,
    • MS Projects or similar project schedule package
    • Experience in project management tools will be an added
    • Experience in explosives will be an advantage.

    Manager Design - Potchefstroom

    WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

    CAD Management

    • Manage CAD data for the engineering department.
    • Administer the PDM system to ensure usability and efficiency.
    • Manage CAD packages for the engineering department.

    Process Management

    • Overseeing the design process to ensure it runs smoothly and efficiently.
    • Setting up workflows.
    • Ensure design standards and best practices are followed.

    Project Coordination

    • Ensure that sound design principles are followed.

    WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

    • B.Eng or higher (Mechanical preferred)
    • Courses or certification in explosives, ammunition systems and weapon systems (Advantageous)
    • Product Data Management Certification (Advantageous)
    • Experience in an equipment design environment (experience in explosives or ammunition environment is desirable).
    • At least 8 years of engineering design experience.
    • Design management experience would be
    • Excellent problem-solving skills.
    • Analytical thinker with good reasoning skills.
    • Good communication, planning and organizing skills.
    • Interdisciplinary skills related to engineering design.

    Business Analyst: Projects

    WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

    Implement and Maintain Databases

    • Implement and maintain database on quotations submitted to ensure consistent pricing and conditions are offered to customers to maximize the probability of the tenders being successful.
    • Ensure alignment between the Sales Database and SAP forecast.

    Reporting on sales

    • Monitor and report on sales on monthly basis to management and Rheinmetall Corporate.

    Sales Budget

    • Update and maintain 3-year sales forecasts with inputs from contract management and enable optimum planning and allocation of company resources and capacities by management.

    WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

    • NQF 7 (Bachelor’s Degree) qualification in Business Development or equivalent.
    • At least 5 years’ experience in Business Development, sales methodology and protocols.
    • At least 6 years’ experience in SAP reporting.
    • Understanding of ammunitions manufacturing and product application.
    • Contract negotiation and international military procurement procedures.
    • Financial protocols and price determination models
    • General and staff management.
    • Knowledge of ammunition and weapon systems.
    • Detailed knowledge on RDM and Rheinmetall products and services.

    Project Management Office Manager

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Coordinating the strategic planning of the entire RDM Projects portfolio.
    • Standardising the scheduling process, as well as planning and reporting methodologies, across the project management department within RDM.
    • Developing a comprehensive view of the allocation of project-related resources within the organisation to effectively manage resource utilisation.
    • Identifying and logically integrating tasks with available resources across all project functions, and highlighting factors that are likely to influence project completion.
    • Measuring field schedule performance, continuously validating and updating schedules based on actual progress, and accurately forecasting project completion dates using robust earned value management practices.
    • Continuously analysing project performance to improve and optimise the project portfolio as necessary, and
    • Contributing to the enhancement of the Project Management function at RDM.
    • Ensuring compliance with the requirements outlined in the RDM General Project Management Procedure, as well as all relevant RDM procedures.
    • Managing and accurately reporting on the health status, progress, risks, and issues of the project portfolio to the General Manager of Project Management.

    WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

    • Minimum of a BEng or Relevant Project Management or Engineering Qualification (NQF 7 or Higher) and PMP Certification.
    • At least 5 years’ experience in Project Management Environment with demonstrated ability in project administration, coordination and management.
    • High proficient with project management software tools such as MS Projects, data analysis tools such as Power BI, and reporting systems to effectively manage project portfolios.
    • Strong analytical skills to evaluate project performance, and make data-driven decisions.
    • Proven experience in financial modelling and scenario planning and advanced skills in excel.

    Mechanical Engineer

    WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

    Develop

    • Develop innovative solutions for ammunition manufacturing facilities in cooperation with team members of different engineering disciplines.
    • Do research and development to ensure the implementation of the latest technologies during the development processes.

    Design

    • Mechanical designs from the concept phase up to and including detail design and drawings for manufacturing.
    • Execute design reviews.
    • Plan and prepare plant layout and inputs for civil structures.
    • Ensure designs comply with legal and explosives regulatory requirements.
    • Take design responsibility at facility level.
    • Ensure design progress is on schedule and within budget.

    • Provide training/support for products/systems/equipment.

    Business Support

    • Compile technical proposals and costing in support of new business.
    • Interact with clients in support of business development.

    WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

    Qualification

    • Eng – Mechanical Engineering or higher

    Applicable Experience

    • 3 – 5 years working experience in mechanical design related to a plant and equipment environment (experience in explosives or ammunition environment is desirable).
    • SProficient in the use of SolidWorks and or similar 3D CAD.

    Additional qualities or experience that will be to the benefit of the candidate

    • Excellent problem-solving skills.
    • Simulation experience in heat transfer, CFD & FEM.
    • Good communication, planning and organising skills.
