    Team leader - Electronics

    Key Responsibilities

    Team Management

    • Lead all aspects of the team in the corrective repair to meet customer requirements within the working timetable.
    • To deliver Start of shift Briefing (SOSB) / End of shift briefings to team members (EOSB).
    • To be responsible for the deployment of team members in line with the shift throughput requirements.
    • Co-ordinate line of route ensuring that equipment, tooling and work environment is left in a safe place
    • Deputise for Repair Centre Workshop Manager as required to ensure business needs are maintained.
    • Leading and prioritising workloads as agreed with the Repair Centre Workshop/Site Ops/Industrial manager.
    • EHS
    • Responsible for leading team members to uphold Site safety, including reporting of any unsafe acts, process/procedure deviation

    Performance

    • Provide real time updates to the Repair Centre Workshop/Site Ops Manager on work progress against the agreed plan, SQDC deviations and adverse events.
    • Ensure that all worksheets are correctly provided to the required standard
    • Completion of the shift paperwork 100% (exam, daily, safety sheets)
    • Ensure that the team follow the standard processes and conform to those standards on the job. Ensure all documentation and procedures are at the correct revision and signed off in full when completed.

    Team Communication

    • Conduct regular informal discussions with team members.
    • Provide regular feedback on team / individual performance.
    • Be proactive in seeking views and input from team members.

    Team Continuous Improvement

    • Take a proactive approach to support the Repair Centre Workshop/Site Ops Manager in understanding and resolving team issues. Demonstrate an awareness of continuous improvement, team development and best practice.
    • Carry out audit of processes to ensure feedback from team members to continually improve the process or procedures.
    • Support the Repair Centre Workshop/Site Ops Manager in proactively working towards a reduction in Non-Value Added activities.
    • Support the team to identify process changes and implement smarter ways of working, engage with APSYS and Industrial Teams
    • Ensure 5S is fully implemented

    Team Development

    • Ensure all team members have skills including Special Process training needed to perform and deliver against the work plan.
    • Conduct regular review of skills matrix for team members.
    • Identify individual training needs and report to the Repair Centre Workshop/Site Ops Manager

    Operational duty:

    • Able to perform any task executed by any electronics repair of its team
    • Execute repair task when needed
    • Replace any employee in its duty to support business requirement and deadline

    Minimum Requirements

    • Minimum National Diploma in Electrical (light current/Industrial engineering), B-tech advantageous.
    • Minimum experience of 5 years in the maintenance or production field
    • Previous people management experience
    • Proven experience in Production/maintenance and/or repairs within an operations role
    • In-depth understanding of the rail industry operations or electronics repairs environment.
    • Ability to read and understand drawings, schematics and test specifications
    • Working knowledge of Network rail Rules and Regulations and Health & Safety standards

    Maintenance Engineer (ISR)

    Key Responsibilities

    • Identify the performance allocation in compliancy with DFS target.
    • Define maintenance plan and design of LSA elements (MTA, LCC, LORA, RCM)
    • Define spare part allocation for first provisional (LAI)
    • Validation of support solution and associated maintenance documentation or training toolkit
    • Capitalize data in central ISR repository (ILS PDM)
    • Ensure technical interfaces with RS, Components, Signalling and Infra teams (RAMS Architect, mechanical, electrical & system architect, sourcing, LSA for equipment and from suppliers)
    • Ensure that DFS is correctly applied on Sub System (Component Site)
    • Ensure REX is collected and considered
    • Manage Definition of Logistic Breakdown Structure (LBS) in consistency with Design Engineering BOM definition.
    • Elaborate maintenance plan
    • Manage relationship with sourcing for ISR requirement clauses linked to sourcing concern
    • Ensure LSA database (ILS PDM) is defined and completed correctly
    • Ensure compliancy between Spare Part consumption model and maintenance strategy
    • Validate content of the technical maintenance documentation and training toolkit
    • Ensure that Maintenance Documentation is published using Alstom standard Method &Tools standard (Electronic Catalogue)
    • Assures efficient parts codification in line with Platform rules: materials identification, codification process, interfaces with Alstom systems, quality and normative requirements
    • Ensure REX is collected and considered for reuse purpose
    • Definition of Documentation Breakdown Structure in consistency with the Logistic Breakdown Structure
    • Ensure Documentation database (ILS PDM) is defined and completed correctly

    Minimum Requirements

    • B.Eng/B.Tech/B.Eng Tech Engineering Degree (Mechanical/Electrical or Mechatronics)
    • Registered or Registerable as a Professional Engineer with ECSA
    • Familiar with maintainability studies on Railways Equipment
    • Knowledge of the main ISR Elements applicable to Railways equipment (RAMS, LORA, RCM, LCC

    Red Seal Rigger 1

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop lifting work instructions, checklist, tools and equipment specifications and standards.
    • Identify hazards and risks and implement adequate control measures to mitigate identified risks
    • Install life-lines
    • Implement a fall protection plan
    • Inspect, maintain and store all fall protection equipment including proper record keeping
    • Perform a variety of fall arrest rescues
    • Perform tasks using a variety of ladders.
    • Identify temporary and permanent anchor points
    • Perform rigging tasks according to Gibela specific standard operating procedures
    • Secure work area
    • Assess ground conditions for before movement.
    • Be able to select PPE and other safety equipment for lifting activities.
    • Select and use tools, equipment and materials required for lifting activities.
    • Inspect and evaluate lifting gear, ensure that they have current tag.
    • Calculate/determine the Gibela load weight and ensure that the right weight is lifted with the right equipment.
    • Identify and inspect slinging equipment as per log book inspection requirements
    • Participate in developing lifting the work instructions and lifting drawings
    • Plan and prepare for slinging by barricading area of operation, organising and assembling resources for the task, evaluating environmental conditions and preparing work area.
    • Identify and mitigate hazards and risks for each different lifting activity
    • Sling a regular load from 5 ton and above with or without lifting lugs
    • Perform all preparatory activities prior to slinging
    • Organise and assemble resources for the various different lifting tasks
    • Identify and inspect rigging equipment as per log book inspection requirements
    • Identify and select lifting equipment in accordance with load requirements
    • Ensure that the safe working load (SWL) of selected lifting equipment is adequate for the loads used.
    • Check and report equipment defects include wear, corrosion, stretched links, deterioration of splices, cracks, nicks and broken strands.

    Warehouse Supervisor

    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversees and coordinate the accurate and timely line feeding  of kits and NCR replacement, also ensure what is delivered to production line is also confirmed on SAP
    • Ensure that rejected stock is return back  from the production floor , to the warehouse and record NCR at the at entrance then place it inside the red cage
    • Conduct audits to ensure that all the delivered materials ties up with the call off and confirmations has taken place as expected.
    • Contribute to the optimal utilization of capital resources and equipment as well as improve the warehouse facilities
    • Implement cost reduction principles and initiatives in all aspects of warehouse functions, transactions and activities within management's defined framework for such projects
    • Identify materials requiring adherence to special quality standards (external and in-house) and storage procedures, such as preservation methods and in-storage maintenance
    • Ensure that a high standard of housekeeping is maintained within all stores receiving and surrounding areas by addressing Safety Incidents of non-compliance, hazards identified, gross negligence and damage to property
    • Provide input to stock take planning and schedules and help drive the execution of the count plan to ensure accurate stock levels are maintained in SAP – housekeeping, bin verifications, consolidation ahead of count
    • Adhere to relevant vehicle and materials handling policies and procedures
    • Ensure that safety awareness is cultivated within the warehouse environment and ensure compliance with all relevant EHS policies, procedure and systems
    • Adhere to relevant warehouse and inventory management policies, processes, procedures and reporting requirements.
    • Ensure adequate outbound delivery and return to stock process is properly control, standards and procedures are in place and adhered to
    • People Management

    Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12,
    •  3 years National Diploma/ Degree in logistics and/or materials management or related qualification
    • 5 years’ experience in the Warehouse environment
    • Experience with Managing people
    • Code 8 drivers and Forklift MHE licenses will be advantageous.
    • Membership of relevant professional body e.g., SAPICS, CIPS will be  advantageous
