    Tech Officer: Customer Engineer (DWM) (Eastern Cape-Temp) - Uitenhage

    Core Description

    To provide technical assistance and maintenance of computer systems, logistical support, audio visual equipment’s etc. Provide service activities on company systems, including installation, discontinuance, relocation, diagnosis, emergency repair etc. while minimising equipment downtime and ensuring client satisfaction. Manage Services Administration on Office 365, Mimecast and Backup Solutions. Liaise with external resources (3rd Party Management) to facilitate resolution of 3rd party Incidents

    Key Deliverables / Primary Functions

    • Implement preventative and proactive maintenance, including deploying and maintaining monitoring sets for all clients (Node Device, CPU, DiskSpace, Memory).
    • Utilize available software or specialist monitoring tools accurately to maintain awareness and control of hardware and software.
    • Engage and liaise with all personnel, including VIP personnel.
    • Follow the escalation matrix and keep the customer informed.
    • Take ownership of Incidents and Service Requests, ensuring resolution and providing continuous feedback, including the ability to perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting across systems.
    • Assist with 1st and 2nd level EUM support, including application and device troubleshooting and support, which is not limited to the support of end-user devices but also encompasses Audio Visual support equipment.
    • Utilize approved remote management tools to provide remote support for end-user devices, addressing application and device troubleshooting and support.

    • Developing and maintaining the enterprise architecture framework, informed by best practice, which outlines the standards, policies, and procedures that govern technology use within BCX.
    • Collaborating with business and technology leaders to identify and prioritize technology initiatives that align with the organization's strategic goals.
    • Leading or participating in cross-functional teams to implement new technology solutions, ensuring that they align with the enterprise architecture framework.
    • Communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, including business leaders and executives, to ensure understanding and support for technology initiatives and business cases.
    • Accountable for the health & effectiveness of key architecture components aligned to Standards and Lifecycle Management.

    Core Description

    Responsible and accountable for the daily activities relating to inbound and outbound stock / assets movement within the distribution centre Ensuring operational execution of the stock management process and associated controls, as defined within the Stock Management Policy

    Key Deliverables / Primary Functions

    • Ensure both inbound and outbound stock movement is executed in a timely, effective and efficient manner and executed in line with governing policy standards, controls and technology and in doing so, is positioned to return maximum value to overall stock management- 
    • Accurate and timely processing of outbound stock movement, both inventory and assets, across any of the following areas/locations 
    • Distribution centre 
    • Regional distribution centres replenishments and / or requests 
    • Project office replenishments and / or requests 
    • Supplier dispatch  
    • Internal Assets 
    • Technicians Requests 
    • Ensure inventory levels are appropriately and effectively managed and duly controlled, through regular stock takes and cycle counts, to ensure inventory levels are maintained in line with acceptable standards. 
    • Ensures quality assurance standards are upheld, ensuring the Distribution Centre's compliance to the Stock Management Policy and associated controls are sustained- 
    • Follow policy, process and technology training, guidance and support from Team Leaders. 
    • Escalate unresolved / outstanding areas of concern to management.
