    Technical Commercial Lead: Specialities

    PURPOSE

    • Responsible for driving the commercial success of the Specialities portfolio through strong agronomic expertise and agronomist/customer engagement. This role bridges technical agronomy and commercial execution, ensuring effective demand generation, accelerating adoption of Speciality solutions, and embedding commercial excellence practices across the field team.
    • The role requires a strong foundation in horticultural crop production systems, with demonstrated experience across high-value crops. This expertise is essential to effectively position and translate Speciality solutions practical, crop-specific programmes that deliver measurable improvements in plant performance, stress tolerance, and yield.
    • In addition, the role is expected to act as a thought leader in Specialities and Horticultural crops. This includes contributing to industry forums, guiding innovation, and translating emerging scientific advancements into practical, market-ready solutions.

    WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

    Commercial Excellence Execution

    • Lead the implementation of commercial excellence frameworks across the Specialties business.
    • Translate strategic goals into actionable field-level plans to drive revenue growth.
    • Ensure alignment between technical positioning and commercial messaging of Speciality products.

    Demand Generation & Market Development

    • Design and execute demand generation programs to increase awareness and usage of Speciality products.
    • Support on-farm trials, demonstrations, and validation programs to support product claims and adoption.
    • Execute field trials with relevant internal stakeholders (commercial agronomist and development & innovation team)
    • Oversee and interpret field trials to validate product performance.
    • Ensure data-driven decision-making and credibility in the market.
    • Communicate trial results effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with Agronomy manager to develop compelling technical campaigns and grower-focused messaging.

    Customer Engagement & Advisory

    • Serve as a technical expert and key point of contact for customers (farmers and agronomists).
    • Provide agronomic recommendations that integrate Specialities into conventional fertilizer programmes.
    • Support key accounts with tailored technical and commercial solutions.
    • Address customer challenges and ensure high levels of trust.

    Commercial Performance

    • Achievement of sales targets and contribution margins.

    Demand Generation & Adoption

    • Number and success rate of on-farm trials/demonstrations.
    • Increase in product adoption rates (repeat usage, expansion across hectares).
    • Customer conversion rates from trials to commercial use.

    Capability Building

    • Number of agronomists/sales staff trained and certified.
    • Improvement in team competency scores related to Specialities.
    • Effectiveness of training programs (measured by field performance uplift).

    Customer Engagement

    Commercial Excellence Implementation

    • Adoption of commercial excellence tools and processes across the team.

    Operational Effectiveness

    • Timely execution of demand generation plans.

    WHAT YOU WILL BRING

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Soil Science, Plant Science, or related field
    • Preferred: Postgraduate qualification (e.g. MSc in Agronomy, Soil Science, or related)

    Experience

    • 7–10 years' experience in agriculture/Agri-inputs, with exposure to Speciality products
    • Proven experience in a commercial, technical, or product management role
    • Strong understanding of crop production systems (row crops, horticulture advantageous)
    • Experience in Speciality inputs
    • Experience working with distributors and channel partner

    Logistics Coordinator (International) - 8 Month FTC

    • This role is responsible for receiving orders from internal and external clients/stakeholders. To order materials from suppliers, to effectively process orders by entering data on systems, prepare documentation for customs/transporters in order to ensure that exports are made efficiently

    WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

    Stock management

    • Monitor stock levels from plants and sites daily utilizing the electronic stock management system and/or manually to ensure that global customer demands can be met on a timely basis and optimal stock level can be maintained
    • To receive orders from clients, scheduling deliveries, and ensuring that products are received on time.
    • To work collaboratively with the Logistics Control Center to plan, schedule and co-ordinate inbound and outbound transportation of raw materials, daily stock levels, inventory control and final products between warehouses, plants, and to the ultimate point of consumption

    Administration

    • To administer, process and audit all international transport requirements (export and import permits, clearance certificates), associated costs and documentation to ensure adherence to the operational plans
    • To track, monitor and review any deviances from operational plan, and to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
    • To assist with ad hoc tasks, oversee and provide support on projects/initiatives as required in order to enhance the logistics and/or Supply Chain value chain.

    Compliance

    • To ensure that all the regulatory and legislative requirements within the department/remit thus ensuring effective management of SHERQ and adherence to stipulated disciplines for continuous improvement of occupational Safety, Health, Environment, Risk and Quality

    Client Liaison

    • To develop and build good relationships with internal and external stakeholders and provide logistic advice and/or operational support (i.e. liaise with Country Managers, assist with import permits, etc.) to enhance the BME brand. ·
    • To work collaboratively with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as customer sales, order management, accounting, or shipping

    WHAT YOU WILL BRING

    Qualifications

    • Diploma/Degree in Logistics & Supply Chain or industrial engineer

    Experience

    • 3 years demonstrated experience as a Logistics coordinator
    • Proven experience in a Warehouse or Logistics environment
    • Project Management (Advantageous)

    KEY COMPENTENCIES

    • Knowledge of distribution principles
    • Knowledge of business, processes, resource allocation, monitoring, reviewing, identification of gaps techniques
    • Knowledge of MRP planning and/or transport management systems

    HR Administrator

    • The purpose of the HR Administrator role is to provide accurate administrative support to the business and ensuring compliance with company policies. The HR Administrator will work closely with departments throughout the organization, providing a customer focused and effective HR support service to the organization to achieve its goals and objectives.

    What You Will Be Responsible For:

    Effective co-ordination of recruitment activities

    • Assist HR team in ensuring the consistent application of recruitment policies and procedures
    • Assist with placing internal and external job advertisements
    • Arrange interviews (liaise with candidates/agencies, reserve interview rooms (where applicable), prepare interview packs for all panel members, etc)
    • Schedule psychometric assessments and ensure availability of required resources (e.g. boardrooms, laptops, etc)
    • Ensure timely and effective execution of candidate background checks i.e. criminal record, qualification, credit (where applicable) and employment record checks (when requested) prior to any offer being extended to candidates. Provide feedback to HR Manager and relevant line manager with regards to outcome in a timely manner to facilitate quick decision making.
    • Prepare employment contracts and movement forms for new hires under the direction of the HROs/HRM
    • Assist employees and line managers in accurately completing required forms
    • Ensure all documents are returned, checked and submitted to Payroll before the set monthly cut off dates
    • Follow up with Payroll to ensure that all submitted documents have been received and processed

    Payroll Liaison/ Administration

    • Compile salary increases, relocation and promotion letters when requested by the HRM
    • Maintain data integrity by ensuring that movement forms are submitted to Group HR before promotion, termination and relocation letters are sent to Shared Services
    • Assist with the conducting of and capturing of exit interviews in Payspace
    • Facilitate timely approval of loan applications to ensure employees receive the requested loans on time. Keep line managers updated regarding progress of the application throughout the process

    IR / ER

    • Assist HRBP's with case preparations, by engaging with line managers and chairpersons for disciplinary hearings
    • Arrange monthly union meetings

    General

    • Arrange meetings
    • Manage payment of recruitment, training and other HR related invoices
    • Respond to general HR queries in a timely manager
    • Assist with other HR related duties as requested
    • Assist HRBP's with report compilation for monthly statistics
    • Assist employees with policy documentation / HR forms
