    Fire and Liabilities Assessor

    Job Description

    As the OUTsurance Claims Assessor /Investigator you will be responsible for assessing, validating and finalising fire and liability claims in the personal lines and business.


    Responsibilities:

    • Validate all fire incidents and claims

    • Validate all liability incidents and claims

    • Meeting with clients, witnesses, SAPS officials, towing operators etc.

    • Finalise all reports and administration (reports, scanning, photographs etc.)

    • Liaise with service providers

    • Make the decision, all administration and telephonic queries arising around that.

    • Handling and resolving all queries and problems from service provider and clients

    • Conduct all the above to the required performance and quality standards that are in place with all Liability claims

    • Conduct all the above to the required performance and quality standards that are in place with all Fire incidents

    Qualifications

    • Matric

    • Investigations experience will be beneficial, especially fire claims investigation/ assessing.

    • Previous liability claims investigation experience will be beneficial

    • FAIS Accreditation or a FAIS recognized qualification will be highly beneficial

    • Valid Driver’s licence

    • Previous fire investigations experience is essential

    • Claims experience

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)

    • Computer literacy is essential

    • Investigative know-how is essential

    • Conflict handling

    • Self-disciplined and self-motivated (must be able to work independently)

    • Problem solving/initiative

    • Negotiation skills

    • Stress tolerance

    • Tenacity and resilience

    • Be an analytical thinker with an investigative instinct

    Buildings On the road Assessor

    Job Description

    As the OUTsurance Claims Assessor (Buildings) you will be responsible for assessing, validating and finalising personal lines and business claims.

    • A degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying is essential.

    • FAIS Accreditation or a FAIS recognized qualification will be highly beneficial

    Experience

    • Construction or building related experience

    • Building/ Construction/ Plumbing or Electrical/Electronic related experience

    • Face to Face Client services experience

    • Investigation/Assessing experience, especially in a short-term insurance industry. Preferably Buildings Assessing experience
