    Network Engineer: Core Engineering

    Role Purpose

    The Network Engineer - Core Engineering role is based within Enterprise Business Unit's Vodacom Business Africa (VBA)
    The Network Engineer - Core Engineering role is responsible for operational support and design of the VBA Group global core network. Will be accountable for the design, development, operation and implementation of the IP/MPLS core network and complex customer network infrastructure, in order to meet the organisation’s objectives and requirements.

    Your Responsibilities Will Include
    Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

    • Operational Support of global core network
    • Design the Vodacom Business Africa Group PAN Network, scope and responsibilities in-line with Vodacom Group Strategy.
    • Must have the ability to design, develop, and implement core network infrastructure in order to provide reliable and scalable network designs and recommendations in order to meet the organisation’s objectives and requirements
    • Ensure optimal operation of core network
    • Drive efficiencies through continuous optimisation of network.
       

    Key Performance Indicators

    • Maintain high availability of Core network across the globe
    • Reduction of outages on network
    • Ensure network is aligned with global standards and that of group.
       

    The Ideal Candidate Will Have
    Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

    • 5 years’ core network engineering/planning experience
    • Experience participating in development of standards and product recommendations.
    • Experience planning and architecting service provider networks as a member of a planning team.
    • Experience working through every phase of network engineering (OSI 1-7).
    • Strong verbal communication.
    • Experience supporting large scale Global networks
    • Project Management
       

    Must Have Technical / Professional Qualifications

    • Matric
    • Undergraduate degree in computer science
    • Cisco/Juniper Related Senior Qualifications
    • MBA or CCIE/JNCIE certification or equivalent experience.
    • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in IP Networking arena, preferably in the service provider core network space

    Provisioning & Escalations Engineer

    Role Purpose

    The Provisioning & Escalations Engineer role is based within the Enterprise Business Unit's Vodacom Business Africa
    The role of the Provisioning & Escalations Engineer is responsible for implementation of customers services and escalated support of VBA Group customer services. Will be accountable for the effective implementation of all IP related customers services across the VBA Group Global network as well as the support of these services.

    Your Responsibilities Will Include
    Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

    • Implementation of all customer services across VBA Group according to design.
    • Ensure all customer design and implementation technical documentation is updated.
    • In-life Support of installed customer services, ensuring timely response to resolution of incidents.
    • Escalated troubleshooting of customer incidents on escalation.
    • Ongoing maintenance of VBA network ensuring alignment to billing.
    • Experience working through every phase of network engineering (OSI 1-7).
    • Ensure operation of all customer related services
       

    Key Performance Indicators

    • Effective and optimal implementation of customer services.
    • Adherence to network implementation standards.
    • Effective support of customer services.
       

    The Ideal Candidate Will Have
    Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

    • 2-3 years’ implementation experience using CLI and relevant provisioning tools.
    • 2-3 years’ experience supporting multinational customers.
    • Cisco/Juniper Professional level certification and equivalent experience.
    • Strong verbal communication.
    • Experience supporting large scale multi-national networks.
    • SD-WAN relevant background
       

    Must Have Technical / Professional Qualifications

    • 5 years’ experience in IP Networking – preferably in the service provider segment

    Key Account Manager

    Role Purpose

    The H band Key Accounts Manager: FTTX role based within Consumer Business Unit. The role is responsible for running the end to end Key Account Management of key business partners within the FTTX Sales Channels.

    Your Responsibilities Will Include
    Sales Planning and Execution

    • Develop and implement the sales plan for respective channels aligned to the business strategy.
    • Deliver sales presentations and proposals to executive levels and boards of directors

    Revenue and Margin Growth

    • Develop and implement plans to increase net sales revenue across FTTX Sales Channels.

    Channel Partner Management

    • Identify and propose new channel partners
    • Manage and support existing channel partners;
    • Oversight on channel partner operations to ensure business models are profitable and in accordance with Vodacom standards;
    • Assist with product knowledge and developing business acumen of Channel Partner

    Reporting and Feedback

    • Accurate reporting and feedback of performance against targets.

    Stakeholder and Relationship Management and Customer Service

    • Build strong relationships through proactive interaction with customers at all levels.
    • Ensure a good Customer Experience with all customer interactions


    The Ideal Candidate For This Role Will Have

    • Matric
    • Degree/ Diploma
    • At least 3 years’ experience in sales, account management in the Telecommunications industry Or
    • At least 5 years’ experience in sales, account management in the Telecommunications industry
    • 3-5 years’ experience in ICT Sales;
    • Preferable knowledge in the telecoms arena
    • Presentation skills
    • Forecasting and Planning is essential with strong Financial acumen
    • Proven track record in managing/building relationships

    Senior Specialist Risk & Compliance Lending

    Role Purpose
    To assist the Executive Head of Risk and Compliance with the implementation and monitoring of risk, compliance and regulatory controls within the financial services division as it specifically relates to the lending products and services.

    Your Responsibilties Will Include
    Establishing a Risk, Compliance and Regulatory framework for the various lending products within the business and sensitizing relevant internal stakeholders.

    • Ability to translate and embed the credit regulations (where applicable) into existing and new business products and processes.
    • Document existing controls within the business processes in order to monitor and assess their adequacy and effectiveness of the controls.
    • Perform risk assessments on new products prior to launch and on existing products as and when required.
    • Engage with the outsourced service providers to assess levels of risk and compliance. Recommend areas of improvement and identify action items to be put in place to rectify areas of non-compliance.

    Stakeholder management

    • Analyse complaints (internal and external) for trends and report’s findings to relevant stakeholders.
    • Liaise with External Regulatory Stakeholders ie. Various Ombuds, NCR etc.
    • Engage with Internal (Project Support) and business stakeholders.
    • Assist in the implementation of the compliance training and awareness program.
    • Assist management to create a compliance culture and with embedding compliance principles, values and sound business practice into existing training mediums.
    • Assist management to create new mediums of communication to enhance compliance awareness and knowledge within the company.

    Financial Services Lending regulation analysis and documentation

    • Assists with the analysis and documentation of regulatory compliance requirements especially as it relates to credit lending opportunities.
    • Develop risk management plans for relevant legislation and maintain a regulatory universe for lending.
    • Assessing the risk of changes to Regulatory Environment.
    • Identify and track changes to existing and new laws.
    • Impact analysis across business processes and systems.


    The Ideal Candidate Will Have

    • 3 year Degree or National Diploma essential in BCom, LLB, BA Law, or related.
    • A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in risk and compliance within the Lending environment.
    • A goog understanding of the National Credit Act.
    • Experience in dealing with National Credit Regulator(NCA).
