    Senior Admin Officer

    Requirements 

    Bachelor’s degree coupled with four years relevant experience with a high level of technical knowledge in Student Administration.     Head Transformation

    Requirements

    An Honours Degree in Human Resources Management coupled with five years relevant experience of working in a transformation office. An understanding of the Higher Education framework and the HE Transformation Agenda will be advantageous. Proven experience in dealing with conflict, mediation and resolution. Previous experience in working on transformation/diversity programmes/projects in a large, diverse organisation (specifically, disability, race, class and gender inequalities). Proven experience of managing work, projects and deliverables independently. Proven experience in diversity mentoring. Proven knowledge and understanding of Diversity Metrics and Scorecards.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Support the university’s commitment to the Higher Education Transformation Agenda by entrenching and giving effect to the University’s Institutional Transformation Plan.
    • Assume an advocacy role within the institution and external to it, in respect of the Transformation Agenda of the University, diversity management and cultural integration.
    • Manage and coordinate diversity related initiatives (LGBTIQ).
    • Manage and coordinate Transformation Unit events and campaigns.
    • Conduct transformation related benchmarks.
    • Review, monitor and evaluate related policies.
    • Investigate internal complaints of discrimination and harassment.
    • Implement transformational change management processes.
    • Regularly conduct focus groups across the Institution to measure institutional culture.
    • Leverage diversity experience and mentoring capabilities to increase cultural dexterity in the Institution.

    Head: Organisational Dev and Training

    Requirements:

     A minimum of an Honours degree in Human Resources or Industrial Psychology with at least six years’ experience within an OD environment, preferably in the Higher Education Sector.  A valid driver’s license. Knowledge of organizational design, organizational diagnosis and climate survey, change management as well as performance management.  Knowledge, experience and understanding of all the relevant legislation; Knowledge of  content and requirements of SAQA and the NQF; Strategic and Operational Planning; an understanding of the functioning of Higher Education sector; Good written and verbal communication skills; Presentation skills as well as computer literacy with a good knowledge of MS Office applications

    Duties:

    • The incumbent will be required to oversee the activities of the OD and Training team to ensure effective delivery of outcome including:  
    • Organizational Development:  Oversee organizational diagnosis process and the design of appropriate interventions that are solution to the business challenges; Design and deliver OD and change management strategies, processes and interventions that support the Institution’s ambition to be a high performing organization and foster a high performance  culture; Support the performance improvement process; Oversee the plan and support the implementations of the university organizational development interventions that address individual, group and organizational levels.  
    • Talent Management: Development of talent development strategies based on the University priorities in line with University’s Strategic Plan and Retention Strategy; Facilitate the University Strategic Workforce Plan, developing a metric based approach that articulates demands versus supply and conduct gap analysis; Develop the institution’s capability and processes for strategic sourcing of talent
    • Change Management: Develop the university`s OD strategic priorities and plans, to enable implementation of university`s change management and capacity priorities; Provide expert knowledge and understanding of change processes and its effect on the organization to mitigate potential transformational risks.
    • Organizational Design: Design organizational governance and architecture, which provides the framework through which the university will realize its core qualities as specified in its vision statement; Build the university job design matrix and capability; Review and update competency requirements of jobs while developing career path framework and ensuring that career paths and leaders within job families are defined; Manage and coordinate job evaluation to ensure equity, fairness, and parity of remuneration and benefits through correct grading of jobs. Develop job profiles for all positions within the Unit and assist Line Managers within the University to develop the job profiles for different positions in their departments
    • Learning and Development: Design and align the HRD strategy to the HR strategic objectives in support of the university talent development; Work with Heads of Departments on the design and delivery of appropriate and relevant employee career development processes aligning with the departments’ /schools’ strategic objectives; Develop and implement training, mentorship, succession and career management programmes in liaison with relevant internal and external stakeholders; compile and submit the Workplace Skills Plan (WSP); Coordinate all training activities
    • Performance Management: Oversee the activities of the OD and Training team to ensure effective delivery of outcomes; Develop the institution’s strategic Performance Management frameworks, tools & solutions that meet the business needs; Lead the process ensuring that organizational goals and the performance process/evaluation criteria are regularly and consistently communicated, and individual goals are routinely linked to them; Link performance management with other functions in the HR value chain
