    Risk Manager

    Who You Are:

    • Proficient with risk management frameworks and relevant standards in all spheres of the energy industry

    What you’ll have done before:

    • NQF Level 7 (Degree in Finance/ Auditing/ BComm 
    • 8 years’ experience in Risk Management or Compliance function

    What you’ll be doing

    • Manage and monitor the development of the corporate risk profile and the implementation of Engen Risk Management by establishing the risk profile, conducting gap analysis and intervention plans with various stakeholders including Management, Risk Subject Matter Experts to ensure principal risk affecting Engen performance are effectively managed.
    • Evaluate identified risks through assessment of their impact towards the organization through conducting the overall portfolio risk assessment arising from new/change strategies and critical business value chains, identifying key risk contributions and concentrations, and evaluating the risk impact based on approved risk framework, methodologies and tools, extensive research (internal & external)
    • Develop and manage effective risk intelligence through identifying and forecasting global risk scenarios, trends and market outlook on risk impacting Engen in order to provide valuable risk advisory and strategic risk information to stakeholders in ensuring value is being created along the value chain.
    • Provide advisory to Engen stakeholders relating to setting risk profile, identifying, assessing business risk, and providing risk management strategies for risk exposures that arise from the businesses.
    • Engage and collaborate with relevant internal & external stakeholders and analyze issues & concerns as well as assess possible solution to ensure effective risk management in line with overall Engen Risk Management Policy, framework and guidelines.

    • Suggest system/process improvements to the Reporting & Continuous Improvement Manager.

    • Maintain daily operational quality assurance standards.

    CUSTOMER SUPPORT

    INDIVIDUAL DEVELOPMENT

    PROCESS INVOICES

    • Timeously process invoices that meet the requirements for payment to ensure that contractual payment terms are adhered to in alignment with internal process

    QUERY HANDLING

    • Ensure that all customer statements are accurate and reconciled, by conducting rigorous checks on all related documentations in line with processes and procedures
    • Foster sound working relations with internal and external customers

    FINANCIAL CONTROL

    • Prepare invoices for processing/accounting in accordance with IFRS (verify PO's and check against invoice, ensure that GRIR is done and scan invoices to FSSC)
    • Manage GRIR clearing account.
    • Ensure that the right amount is paid to the right vendor including recurring charges within the agreed terms of contract supported by the right documentation and adhere to policies and procedures
    • Resolve queries and exception management (in liaison with FSSC and vendors)
