Support of Information Delivery production environment

• Understanding the current product environment and maintaining it
• Contribute to the Standby roster to ensure ongoing delivery of current information to the business on time
• Effectively collecting & sourcing information and then correctly transforming & auditing this information
• Accurately publishing the information
• Appropriate resolution of production issues to ensure that information is delivered according to user expectations
• Continuously identifying and improving processes & procedures to minimise negative impact on data and business reporting

Deliver data & information (projects, quick wins)

• Understanding business data and information requirements
• Delivering data and information to the business in line with business priorities, according to quality standards, within the agreed time constraints and according to departmental coding practice & standards
• Being involved in the process of populating new data within the Data Warehouse
• Logical and Physical design of fact and dimensions and transformation processes
• Taking over information delivery tasks from other areas of the business

User Support

• Provide support service to users on data and information to satisfy user needs

What you'll need to do this role

• A relevant 3-year degree/diploma
• 4 years + relevant experience 
• Advanced SSIS experience (ETL Development)
• Advanced or expert level in SQL, writing stored procedures and general scripting.
• Experience building and maintaining Tabular Models in Analysis Services 2012 
• Experience with Datawarehouse design methodologies (Kimball)
• Strong experience with debugging and issue resolution
• Proficient in creating DAX queries (SSAS)
• Working knowledge of SSRS
• Experience using Power BI to build and maintain dashboards.
• Test Methodologies
• Advantageous skills: VB, C# (SSIS)
• Working knowledge of MDS
• Exposure to Agile methodologies
• Retail experience preferred

Description

The ideal candidate for this role will be responsible for onboarding suitable Vendors in accordance with Homechoice requirements while administrating, recording and reporting on various key performance indicators for both internal and external stakeholders.

Merchandise Vendor Onboarding

• Own and execute the operational onboarding of Merchandise Vendors
• Business owner for the Vendor Manual "guide to doing business with HomeChoice" and associated onboarding documents
• Maintaining compliance status of onboarded Vendors

Vendor Chargeback and Coaching Programme

• Own and execute all aspects of Vendor Penalties including levying / wavering, identification, verification, issuing, negotiation and tracking to completion.
• Annual review of penalty structure
• Deep dive and correction to identify process gaps leading to deficiencies in operational excellence and both Vendor and Customer experience
• Business owner for the Vendor Manual "guide to doing business with HomeChoice" and associated documents

Vender Scorecard

• Define scorecard evaluation criteria on a continuous basis according to business strategy and need
• Develop and maintain a scoring methodology, communicate expectations and obtain buy-in
• Gather and analyze data
• Assign scores and provide feedback
• Monitor metrics to identify opportunities for improvement
• Collaborate with Merchandise on metrics and performance goals

Reporting and Analytics

• Reporting on inter alia  Supply and Delivery Infringements / Infringements by type and category / Penalties, Waivers and Chargebacks / Onboarding lead-times / New Vendor status

Projects

• As per business requirements

Support for Inbound Planner

• Provide relief for Inbound Planner activities during periods of absence

• The ideal candidate for this role will be responsible for point of contact for all shipping and import related matter, acting as liaison on shipping matters among external and internal stakeholders

Purchase Order Management

• PO aligned to planned marketing activities balancing operational efficiencies and cost
• Consolidation and utilization planning

Shipping, Transit and Clearing

• Load and transit monitoring (e.g. container collection and timeous gating in) from origin to destination arrival
• Own and execute all processes related to clearance and shipping documents including onboarding and coaching of Vendors on supplier portal, sign-off of transport and clearance documents

Reporting and Analytics

• Reporting on key metrics related to the inbound Supply Chain as related to shipping and purchase order efficiencies

Cost and Budget

• Maintenance of rates cards and costing templates
• Assist with budget forecasting
