 Primary Duties will Include:

• Implement and maintain Environmental Management System (EMS)
• Conduct environmental system and compliance audits
• Monitor and maintain environmental sustainability statistics for all projects including Head Office.
• Develop, amend and maintain environmental documents and procedures.
• Prepare monthly environmental reports
• Assist, give advice and enforce environmental issues related to all projects including Head Office.
• Create and communicate environmental events and campaigns.
• Implement National Environmental Legislation and relevant applicable laws

Requirements

• Relevant Degree / Diploma in Environmental Studies
• Exposure to and understanding of implementation of ISO 14001 (EMS)
• ISO 14001:2015 Standard
• ISO 9001:2015 Standard
• NEMA, NEMWA
• Good time management skills
• Communicate fluently in English.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Must have own vehicle and be willing to travel.

Description

Primary Duties Include:

• Set-up and co-ordination of Project Team and contract documentation in order to plan and execute the project in accordance with client requirements.
• Liaise with the Client to agree on any unresolved issues related to the project e.g. technical issues, programme and contractual issues.
• Set overall completion schedule, milestones and key.
• Administration and Management of the Project to ensure that all disciplines fulfill their requirements and that the programme and budget are maintained at acceptable levels.
• Initiate procurement of all items, especially long lead items. 
• Schedule regular meetings, both internally and with the client to monitor progress on the project. 
• Ensure timeous Progress Reports to management and to the client.
• Management of Client and Client Relations in order to facilitate a good working relationship and the possibility of extra contract work and additional orders.
• Financial Control to ensure that the project is progressing within budgeted allowances and corrective action is taken timeously in respect of overspends and/or deviations from scope.
• Ensure that any claims to be made against the client as well as sub-contractors are timeously produced in conjunction with the Project Team.
• Ensure all end of job documentation has been prepared and signed for issue to the Client
• Have a close out meeting with the Client to ensure that no outstanding issues are still to be actioned.

Requirements

• Relevant Diploma or Degree Mechanical Engineering
• Experience with NEC / FIDIC / GCC Contracts
• Registration with ECSA / SACPCMP (Advantageous)
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in contract monitoring and management, project coordination and management. Experience with wastewater treatment and water treatment projects
• Excellent Interpersonal & Communication Skills
• Candidate should be a team player.
• Excellent report writing skills.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills
• Must have own vehicle and be willing to travel.
