    Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary - Cape Town

    Registered Nurse - Cape Town

    The services of an experienced, compassionate Independent Registered Nurse Contractor (SLA Agreement) is required. The successful applicant must be available to assist within all our healthcare centres when required. 

    The Registered Nurse will administer care to patients inclusive of frail care, mental health, assisted living, and subacute within our village in the Northern Suburbs or Southern Suburbs of the Western Cape. 

    The successful incumbent will be responsible for all nursing care on shift and ensuring patients have a comprehensive and accurate care plan.

    We seek a dedicated Doctor to join our team, prioritising patients' medical stability and enhancing their rehabilitation progress. This role entails managing rehabilitation patients and addressing long-term geriatric needs, particularly focusing on rehabilitation from various conditions such as post-surgery recovery, acute hospitalisation, stroke, total hip replacement, and dementia. 

    Collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary team of experts in physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, social work, dietetics and nursing staff to ensure a seamless transition to rehabilitation and safe discharge.

    • Maintain accurate records of healthcare center incidents, facilitating thorough analysis and continuous improvement efforts.
    • Offer insights and recommendations during investigations of incidents involving healthcare residents, aiming to identify preventive measures and procedural enhancements.

    Qualifications 

    • Degree in Occupational Therapy
    • Registered as an OT with HPCSA

    Experience:

    • Proven experience in clinical Occupational Therapy role
    • Experience in long-term care setting (advantageous)
    • Sound Knowledge of OT process in Geriatrics
    • Knowledge of OT role in Geriatrics and mental health

    Faircape Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to work either Day or Night Shift to join their team at three of their luxury retirement village/healthcare facilities in the Southern Suburbs, Tokai Estate, Noordhoek Manor and Cle Du Cap. The Registered Nurse will be rostered between the three facilities.

    This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care and ensuring accurate care plans for patients. Below are the details and requirements for the position:

    Duties Include:

    • Clinical Handover:
      • Conduct morning handovers according to ISBAR procedure with the Shift Leader on the opposite shift.
      • Ensure all reporting is up-to-date for handover and verify all information during handovers.
    • Medication:
