    We’re hiring for Quality Supply Specialist, Rosslyn SPSC, AME

    As Quality Supply Specialist you will be responsible for managing Quality Supply activities to ensure that customer demands and specs are fulfilled in an accurate and timely manner. Support the evaluation of location supply to meet different market specifications and minimize discard levels. Accountable for the volume, usability, and quality of the seed supply of the Site including product release. Support the coordination of seed processing scheduling and plant activities at the location.

    You Will Be Part of Growing Team

    • Rosslyn SPSC supplies corn in the AME region. As quality specialist at the Rosslyn plant, you will play important role in the quality requirements of Corteva’s customers.

    Your Challenge:

    • Ensures that each seed lot/batch of the site is precisely and timely characterized and is placed on the right storage location in SAP in line with the regional guidance.
    • Support the planning and coordination of plant activities including priority settings and work order instructions for local markets including communication with the Plant Planning Manager and Scheduler.
    • Fully accountable for product release in line with Quality Plan and/or Market Specs Standards.
    • Manage the Quality Concession process for both final and interplant release.
    • Proactively provides volume and quality information, processing recommendation for new crop and for carry-over to the Operations Teams.
    • Provides timely and accurate reporting regarding units produced, conditioned, re-bagged, bagged, and discarded.
    • Ensures that during the production process samples are taken and promptly analyzed and initiates corrective actions timely when needed in alignment with the regional functional leader.
    • Monitors the site’s seed quality performance and makes recommendations to the site team for quality improvement opportunities at hybrid and at process level and shares experience with other regional sites.
    • Able to lead and/or participate in Seed Productivity Initiatives.
    • Liaises with the Central Testing and GPG labs to resolve discrepancies in test results and to ensure a timely turnaround of test results.
    • Be the champion of Country Market specs alignment in terms of quality parameters and customer expectations including tool updates.
    • Works closely with the plant and field teams to resolve Quality concerns.
    • Accountable for the plant lab activities and takes on the responsibility to ensure that the plant Quality Testers are competent in conducting in-process testing.
    • Assumes the Supervisory role for the Plant Lab Quality Tester.

    Key Stakeholders and Interactions:

    • As Quality Supply Specialist at Rosslyn SPSC, the incumbent will report to the AME Regional Quality Leader.
    • Key Stakeholders: Operations and Supply Chain.
    • Close Interaction with Regional Quality team members, Rosslyn Central Testing lab, Delmas GPG lab and Global Testing team.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Agronomy, Biological Sciences and/or Supply Chain.
    • Strong understanding of seed science
    • 3-5 years’ experience in seed industry in production related operations
    • Strong working knowledge of SAP
    • Proficiency in Office Software with a strong aptitude in excel.
    • Ability to interpret and analyze complex data sets using Statistical tools.
    • Proven ability to make timely decisions, solve problems and build consensus.
    • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills are required to develop strong working relationships across various functions to enhance teamwork and a good working environment..

    • Research and Development

    Your Challenge:

    • Ensures efficient workflow of multi crops on the farm.
    • Managing labor effectively between all farm activities
    • Planning, planting, labeling, and harvesting of all crops.
    • Ensuring quality pollinations are done.
    • Managing and application of fertilizer and chemical programs
    • Operating tractors and planters when necessary.
    • Will need to use computer programs to create and map experiments when necessary.

    Qualifications

    • An understanding of the requirements for plantings of Regulated materials and non-Regulated materials
    • Strong background in agronomy
    • AVCASA and BASOS will be beneficial.
    • Experience in managing plant breeding research nurseries and related activities.
    • Proven ability to make timely decisions, solve problems and build consensus.
    • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills are required for fostering teamwork, enhancing a good working environment, and effectively developing strong working relationships with a diverse group of people.
    • Ability to supervise and prioritize multiple tasks is critical.

    Maintenance Technician - Rosslyn

    Description

    We’re hiring a Millwright in our maintenance department.

    As a Millwright you will be responsible for all maintenance activities in our production facility including but not limited to:

    • Maintenance, service, and repair work of all process equipment
    • Installation and deinstallation of machinery
    • Commissioning & decommissioning of industrial machinery/installations

    • Routine inspections, Preventative, and scheduled maintenance

    • Accurate reporting on CMMS, and RCA on problematic equipment

    Find your role in and fit into an established maintenance team in a fast-moving production environment, with additional established WMP (Working Maintenance Procedure) in the following environments:

    • Safety regulations compliance in both Local and International disciplines
    • Performing breakdown repairs timeously and minimizing downtime
    • 24/7 Process operation – Maintenance Standby
    • Short-term shutdown Periods
    • May provide functional guidance and supervision to assigned semi-skilled workers.
    • Physically and mentally fit to:
      • Work at heights
      • Lifting and handling of heavy equipment
    • Driving safety.
    • World class safety standard
