    Product Specialist - Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV)

    Mission:  

    • This position is to promote the technical support and communication flow, technical service and competence of the Boomer - Boltec - LHD equipment within Epiroc.
    • To ensure Customer Satisfaction during the contract period, through the cognizance of machine performance, and availability, including operating costs, and the safety of employees as well as the efficiency of labour

    Main Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Installation & Commissioning of underground Diesel equipment
    • Troubleshooting and technical assistance on Underground drilling / Bolting / Hauling equipment
    • Optimize Drilling & Bolting application according to underground environment
    • Assist on right drilling tools and GET are used to ensure optimum drilling / hauling performance
    • Ensure all pressure and RCS setting are aligned to mining application
    • To ensure equipment performance and high equipment availability,
    • Conduct regular machine audits / daily inspections
    • Assist customer in Schedule and Preventive and back log maintenance 
    • Assist customer in Workshop repair jobs
    • Attend Breakdown Calls
    • Assist in Maintenance and critical parts planning
    • Conduct operator and maintenance staff training and evolution
    • Share best practises and assist Operator in drilling / Bolting / Hauling application
    • Implementation of Technical Service Bulletin / Modification as and when applicable
    • Process Warranty claims as and when applicable
    • Perform RigScan on scheduled intervals
    • Coordinate with Technical Team at head office
    • Build strong relationships with our customers
    • Commissioning of machines
    • Pre-delivery service, some in workshop and on site
    • Commissioning of underground equipment
    • Implementation and monitoring of new technologies in area of responsibility
    • Weekly status reports
    • Suggested improvements to Epiroc and customers
    • Record keeping of implementation process with suggested improvements

    Communication:

    • Reports on all site visits to clients and manager
    • Customer activity / prospects
    • Customer problems
    • Communication with your office, on an ongoing basis, of your movements
    • Monthly Utilisation must be above 85%Main Responsibility or Functions of the Job

    Educational Qualification:

    • Grade 12
    • Technical qualification (Trade Test)
    • Experience on underground TMM equipment.

    Skills, competence and Experience:

    • Very strong technical background
    • Computer literacy
    • Good customer relations
    • Good telephone manners and skills
    • Good product knowledge
    • Interpersonal skills to work with customers and suppliers and to work as part of the
    • Technical Support team
    • Be able to work independently without supervision
    • Be presentable to customers in grooming and dress code

    Technical & Operator Training Officer - Material Handling Equipment

    Main Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Ensure quality Technical and Operator training is provided to our customers  - Internal, External and Regional for URE product line customers
    • Design and Development quality training material to be ready for new technology
    • Adapt and adjust Swedish training 'products' to fit the South African region & market.
    • Ensure that training is marketed to the customers within the South African Region as a value added service.
    • Train all qualified Epiroc employees, South Africa & Region, to achieve the Technical Service Level 1 qualification, Basic Electrical & Hydraulic
    • Ensure quality Operator training is provided to our customers - internally and externally to fit the market conditions
    • Carry out coaching and assessments as required
    • Liaise with product company technical department and forward relevant information to all service departments where applicable
    • Ensure that all URE training records, filing and reporting is kept up to date
    • Assist with PDI and Troubleshooting on equipment when required - internally and externally and regionally
    • Assist other PSD departments in the company as and when required
    • Manage costs within the cost centre and company assets
    • Nature of the position requires that the incumbent will be travelling to various sites and be away from home for extended periods
    • Carry out any other function or duty as may be required in terms of "The Epiroc Way".

    Skills, Competence and Experience:

    • Proven past Technical & Operator background experience, and minimum of 3 years Training experience on Technical and Operator training
    • Be able to read, understand and cope with basic 24V electrical systems
    • Be able to read, understand and cope with various hydraulic systems
    • Be able to read, understand and cope with Rig Control system
    • Good computer literacy skills

    Educational Qualification:

    • Grade 12
    • Must have a Trade certificate
    • ETDP-related qualification
    • Assessor qualification

    Strategic Accounts - Sales Manager

    Main Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Strategic Account Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key strategic accounts, understanding their needs and aligning Epiroc's offerings to meet those needs.
    • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the underground mining market, focusing on capital equipment sales and contracts.
    • Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations for contracts and agreements, ensuring favourable terms and conditions while adhering to company policies and legal requirements.
    • Sales Strategy Development: Collaborate with the sales team to create and implement effective sales strategies that drive revenue growth and market penetration.
    • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape within the underground mining sector.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and customer support, to deliver tailored solutions and ensure customer satisfaction.
    • Performance Tracking: Monitor sales performance against targets, providing regular updates and reports to senior management.
    • Customer Advocacy: Act as a liaison between Epiroc and customers, addressing concerns, resolving issues, and ensuring a high level of service throughout the sales process.

    Required Skills and Capabilities

    • Minimum of 10 years or more of experience in sales, business development, or account management within the mining or heavy equipment industries.
    • Proven track record of managing strategic accounts and closing high-value contracts.
    • Strong understanding of underground mining capital equipment and market dynamics.
    • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

    Technical & Operator Training Officer - Surface Rig Equipment - ADS and SED

    Mission of the role:

    • Continuously provide training & support within the Parts & Service Department supporting Epiroc customers (internal and external and regional as well as other Africa Countries) by providing Technical & Operator training services for Underground Mining Application offerings. Supporting the latest Epiroc technology, which is being launched into the South African Region in the Underground Mining Application including Autonomous applications.
