    Account Administrator – Construction industry – Plattekloof, Western Cape

    Job Description

    • Hire Resolve’s client in the construction industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Account Administrator in Plattekloof, Western Cape.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide administrative and bookkeeping support to clients and contractors.
    • Compile VAT reports, issue claims certificates, and update milestone reports for clients.
    • Prepare accurate payment documents, obtain signatures, and submit payment advisories.
    • Obtain POD's and invoices, and maintain material reconciliation reports.
    • Ensure the contractor's bank account remains active and follow up on payment claims.
    • Reconcile bank, supplier, and funders' statements.
    • Generate and process income statements.
    • Administer fees for services and manage funders' loan accounts, ensuring timely payments and a healthy debtors book.
    • Perform ad hoc duties like taking client meeting minutes and assisting with sales administration.

    Requirements:

    • A diploma or degree in finance, accounting, or business administration.
    • Proven experience in an administrative or bookkeeping role with a strong financial background.
    • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

    Job Description

    • Hire Resolve's client based in Malmesbury, is searching for an Accountant Finance (CA) to join their dynamic team. Reporting to the Manager Finance, the incumbent will be responsible for managing financial operations and ensuring compliance with financial regulations within the organization. This role involves overseeing financial transactions, financial reporting, maintenance of asset register, compilation of financial statements and providing strategic financial guidance. Reconciliations of certain balance sheet accounts.

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes
    • Conduct financial analysis, variance analysis, and account reconciliations
    • Oversee and review financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
    • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, including IFRS and JSE listings requirements
    • Prepare and review financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
    • Manage the general ledger, chart of accounts, and accounting software to accurately record and track financial transactions

    Requirements:

    • Chartered Accountant (SA) qualification with articles completed
    • Minimum of 2 years related experience in a similar environment
    • Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, IFRS, financial regulations, and compliance requirements
    • Proficiency in using financial software and accounting systems

    Summary:

    • Hire Resolve's Client is seeking to hire a dynamic and analytical professional role responsible for the detection, investigation, and mitigation of financial crime risks. This position focuses on anti-money laundering (AML), fraud prevention, and sanctions compliance through real-time assessments, customer interactions, and risk-based analysis.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Investigate and resolve AML and fraud-related alerts in real time, including conducting thorough risk assessments and maintaining complete audit trails.
    • Perform periodic reviews of high-risk accounts, documenting detailed risk assessment outcomes.
    • Manage Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) and Sanctions checks, providing clear justifications and audit logs.
    • Communicate directly with customers (via phone, chat, and email) to address financial crime concerns.
    • Detect and respond to fraudulent activities, including account suspensions when necessary.
    • Assess onboarding risks for new users using a risk-based approach.
    • Prepare and complete Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reports with clear conclusions.
    • Escalate complex or high-risk cases appropriately for further investigation.

    Requirements:

    • Proficient in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
