    Sales Representative Free State West

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Maintaining and developing relationships with existing and new customers.
    • Achieve monthly sales targets through new business and upselling current customers.
    • Use data to inform customers’ understanding of which products can help them reach their goals and how to achieve this.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and maintain a healthy pipeline for future deals. 
    • Present products to customers in a professional and knowledgeable manner
    • Conducting market research to keep up to date with industry trends and competitor activity.
    • Build and maintain a strong brand image. Communicate and collaborate with other members of the sales and marketing team.
    • Drive and maintain Accessibility, Affordability, Availability and Activation
    • Run price driven promotions.
    • Maintain call strike rate in accordance with targets.
    • Share and implement new ideas regarding sales and improving effectiveness of the sales teams and/ or the effectiveness of marketing activities.

    Job Requirements:

    • A bachelor's degree or Diploma in Sales, Marketing, or a related field is preferred. Relevant industry training and certifications are an advantage.
    • A minimum of 3 years of sales experience
    • Relevant experience within the Alcoholic Beverage or broader FMCG industry would be preferable.
    • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets Numerical and business acumen experience
    • High levels of energy, persistence, drive as well as a sense of urgency.
    • The ability to work optimally in a high performance and competitive environment.

    Assistant Winemaker

    Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

    • Perform all final corrections to fortified wine products prior to dispatch
    • Sampling for the dispatch department
    • Monthly stock taking
    • Control and handling of dry goods
    • Weekly reconciliation of bulk stock and dry goods
    • Ordering and offloading of dry goods
    • Control the receipts and storage of intrinsic products
    • Effective control of Processing systems
    • Minimum and maximum stock level checks for dry goods
    • Responsible for monthly excise accounts, MM – ICC and Excise ICC reports
    • Daily recording of SAP transactions relevant to department
    • Control in the blending of fortified wines and filtration
    • Assist with weigh bridge operating functions when required
    • Team leader of TPM team meetings
    • Implementing and sustaining TPM standards
    • Effective leadership of the blending team
    • Maintain good housekeeping standards
    • Do physical receipts and dispatch as per weekly bulk program
    • Management of bulk stock in area of responsibility
    • Liaise effectively with transporters and internal customers

    The successful candidate must have the following qualification, skills and experience:

    • A tertiary level qualification in wine making or similar
    • Minimum 2 - 3 years of cellar operations and winemaking experience
    • Computer literacy in MS Office Suite
    • Basic SAP knowledge would be an advantage
    • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast paced environment
    • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision (Self-starter)
    • Sound people and time management skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Excellent problem solving skills
    • Own transport and willingness to work irregular hours
    • Punctuality and attendance reliability essential

    Temp Learnership (NQF3 Packaging)

    The Learnership entails the following outcomes: 

    • Demonstrating an understanding of basic machine operations in a manufacturing and/or packaging environment. 
    • Monitoring critical control points (CCP’s) as an integral part of the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) system. 
    • Performing quality control practices in a food or sensitive consumer product operation. 
    • Competence in 3 x Machine Workplace Observations as part of the Learnership on an automated food & beverage packaging line includes (to be decided based on operational requirements): 
    • Washing 
    • Filling 
    • Sealing 
    • Labelling 
    • Palletizing 
    • Depalletizing 
    • Performing first line maintenance. 
    • Applying problem-solving techniques. 
    • Demonstrating effective communication skills and the ability to interpret and use information. 
    • Demonstrating Mathematics abilities 
    • Learner will be required to attend classes and successfully complete assessments (minimum pass rate of 70% per subject) as part of the programme. 

    Minimum Requirements: 

    • Unemployed at time of application. 
    • Must have passed Grade 12 with Mathematics (NOT Maths Literacy) and English as subjects. 
    • Relevant experience within a production/high-speed packaging environment would be advantageous. 
    • Knowledge of safe working procedures. 
    • Proven verbal and written communication skills. 
    • Ability to function independently and under pressure. 
    • Ability to cope with the inherent physical demands of the Learnership. 
    • Must be willing and able to work shifts and overtime as part of workplace training when required.
