PRIMARY PURPOSE

• Reporting directly to the Food Experience Manager (FEM) the trainer acts as a support to teams and/or individuals in order to fulfil their potential within Wilderness whilst driving the company processes, systems and standards. Work hand in hand with other trainers and be sure to deliver a consistent approach and voice, in line with Wilderness standards as set out by the Operations and/or Service and Standards

Detailed Responsibilities

• Ensure that the chefs are delivering the minimum standard as per the cycle menu. Be present for external training trips when required.
• Making suggestions on new dishes and giving feedback to the FEM on menu items
• Train chefs on how to use and care for kitchen assets, reporting back to the FEM on any equipment requirements and kitchen upgrades
• Month end food statistics and training reports are provided to the FEM
• Ensure that all kitchen equipment is well maintained and that staff are accountable for breakages
• To ensure that the F & B Managers and chefs keep the fridges and storerooms clean and organized at all times
• Monitor guest feedback and ensure that the targets set for the classic are met
• Ensure that the chefs keep the kitchens clean tidy and hygienic

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Qualification:

• Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Culinary Arts

Experience:                    

• Minimum of ten (10) years in the food industry.
• Solid experience in the high-end, luxury safari hospitality market.
• In-depth knowledge in dealing with diverse food experiences and cultures from around the world.

Skills:           

• Outstanding people skills and ability to communicate.
• Know how to manage and work in a team.
• Strong verbal skills, both written and spoken.
• Keen eye for detail.
• High levels of energy and enthusiasm to drive the guest experience.
• A desire to improve staff skills and to motivate them constantly.

PRIMARY PURPOSE

• To reconcile and pay trade and non-trade creditors accurately and timeously.
• This position is based in Johannesburg

Detailed Responsibilities

• Invoice processing: Receive, review, and process invoices from creditors.
• Account reconciliation: Reconcile creditor statements with internal financial records.
• Payment processing: Ensure timely payment of creditor invoices.
• Creditor correspondence: Respond to creditor inquiries and resolve discrepancies.

• Creditor database maintenance: Ensure accurate and up-to-date creditor information.
• Reporting: Provide regular reports on creditor payments, outstanding balances, and other relevant metrics.

Qualification:

• Matric with Maths or Accounting
• Computer Literate specifically Basic Excel.

Experience:                    

• 3 years creditors experience essential.
• Tourplan and experience in the Travel Industry.

PRIMARY PURPOSE

• To generate and grow sales whilst maintaining required GP%, great agent relationships and high-level customer service by offering world-class itineraries to exceed agent & guests' expectations.
• To secure, cost and present product to the agent/guest accurately, efficiently, timeously by creating inspirational luxury travel.
• This position is based in Johannesburg 

Detailed Responsibilities

• Build relationships with agents based on trust and support, knowing their business trends and guests needs, ad hoc attending relevant familiarization trips with agents (if and when required).
• Liaise with the Reservations Manager on sales potential and any development on the agent relationship for all bookings.
• Continuous communication and excellent service delivery to agents at all times.
• Keep Agents’ booking information updated in the ARM (likes/dislikes – booking habits etc.) Actual Agent Contact information will be updated by Sales/Reservations Operations Managers.
• Quote accurately and timeously keeping in mind our strategic and preferred AP and upsell where possible to benefit both WS and the agent ensuring relevant information is obtained from the ARM prior to quoting.
• Streamline operational negotiations by also reducing dead beds, waitlist chasing and maximizing camp operations role to create those life-changing journeys for guests.
• Keep apprised of company policies, procedures and system updates.

Qualification:

• Matric certificate – with maths (minimum standard grade or above) 
• Tertiary certificate in Travel & Tourism/hospitality. 

Experience:                    

• 4-5 years’ experience at a senior level.
• Great product knowledge on Southern & East Africa (Rwanda, Tanzania & Kenya).
• Experience in handling customer relationships and developing & promoting product and services in the inbound travel industry.
• Personal or educational travel experience required.
• Proven English literacy.
• Computer Literate (Microsoft Office, email, Internet)
• Excellent attention to detail.
