    Cylinder Truck Driver Witbank (Contract_Temporary Role)

    Overview & Key Responsibilities

    •  This role is responsible for the delivery and collection of Packaged Gas to and from internal & external customer sites safely and reliably.

    The key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

    •  Responsible for the pre-post journey checks of the vehicle;
    • Responsible for the loading and offloading of cylinders;
    • Ensure safe and efficient delivery and collection of cylinders at assigned destinations;
    • Responsible for proper housekeeping and general ad hoc activities;
    • Ensure SHERQ standards are constantly adhered to.

    Essential Requirements

    •  A minimum Grade 12 certificate;
    • A valid unendorsed EC Drivers License with PrDP;
    • A valid Forklift licence;
    • Must have valid Dangerous Goods Certificate;
    • Must have own reliable transport;
    • A minimum of 5 years in heavy duty driving experience;
    • Must be experienced in transportation and handling of Dangerous Goods;
    • Must be medically fit to perform physical work;
    • Must be willing to work Flexi hours & overtime when required;
    • Must be able to produce written reports on vehicle fitness and accurate delivery paperwork;
    • Must have good verbal and written communication skills, specifically in English

    Overview and Key Responsibilities

    • As a Sales Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving sales growth by acquiring profitable new business across our full range of products in various markets.
    • You will also maintain and service our current regional customer base.

    Your key responsibilities will include:

    • Sales Growth: Prospecting for new clients to meet set sales targets.
    • Account Management: Stewarding current accounts and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
    • Market Presence: Enhancing Air Products’ market presence through innovative marketing initiatives.
    • Compliance: Adhering to company SHERQ procedures and relevant legislation.

    Essential Requirements

    To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

    • Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science.
    • Recognised Certificate/Diploma/Degree in Sales & Marketing.
    • A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales within the industrial, technical, or gas-related industry.
    • Knowledge of Industrial and Specialty Gases (advantageous).
    • A proven track record in high-level negotiations and building strong customer relationships.
    • A target-driven and customer-centric mindset.
    • A valid unendorsed Code 8 driver’s licence with reliable transport.
    • Proficiency in MS Office and general computer literacy.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and report writing abilities.
    • Willingness to travel as required.
