    Junior Quantity Surveyor - JHB

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Accurately measure from construction drawings.
    • Timeously and accurate submission of monthly invoices, including VO’s and site instructions.
    • Timeously and accurate submission of gross profit reports.
    • Contract files up to date and orderly.
    • Agree/negotiate supplier rates of materials.
    • Time sheets and wages.
    • Re-measure Labour only and subcontractor’s progress and payments regularly and accurately.
    • Re-measure job accurately and keep record of detailed re-measurements.
    • Accurate certification of work completed and MOS.
    • Client relations duties.
    • Attend site meetings and provide input where necessary.
    • Sub-Contractors and general staff liaison and relationship duties.
    • Value their workforce and treat them with fairness.
    • Display and maintain leadership.
    • Communicate well to all employees.
    • Re-measure work accurately, agree payment and pay timeously.
    • Assist with procurement to ensure they achieve budget.

    • B-tech or BSC Quantity surveying Degree.
    • Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience in Quantity surveying preferably in the construction or building industry.

    Regional Sales Representative: Contractors, Dealers, and Direct Sales

    • Maintaining relationships with customers through regular communication and follow- up.
    • Follow-up with contacts to advance them through sales process.
    • Prospect for new customers.

    • Utilizes specialized knowledge and experience to assist customers with issues such as product selection, pricing, availability, and refunds/exchanges.
    • Generates sales quotations requiring a working knowledge of company products, procedures, systems and practices.
    • Actively engages in selling company products and services.
    • Provides material take offs, estimates and pricing for various requirements and building projects (e. g., decks, balustrades, pergolas, cladding and structures).
    • Enters orders into company system.
    • Handles incoming phone calls and e-mails from customers and provides requested information in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Answer’s customer questions regarding topics such as products, pricing, availability, delivery, backorders, specifications, returns, credits, and order placements.
    • Monitors scheduled delivery dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite, as needed.
    • Investigates customer complaints or concerns.
    • Resolves issues within company guidelines. As needed, escalates larger concerns to internal sales regional/territory manager for resolution.
    • Attends induction and training as required in JNB.
    • Intimate understanding of the market, customers, and the competition would be advantageous.
    • Respond in a timely manner to all leads. Properly qualify and convert into viable opportunities.
    • Meet or exceed sales budget goals and performance KPI’s monthly.
    • Attend sales and technical training meetings, as required in JNB.
    • Stay abreast of all technical data pertaining to industry products, material, and equipment.
    • Perform all other duties as assigned.
    • Attend trade shows, meetings, seminars, and conferences as required.
    • Drive all Eva-Last products and brands through decking and thatching contractors, general contractors, building Contractors, homeowners, specifiers, designers, property managers, multi-family builders & renovators.

    • Coordinate projects anticipate customer needs, planning, ordering, and issue resolution.

    Distribution Channel Development:

    • Identify, evaluate, and initiate contact with distribution partners, including wholesalers and retailers, to expand TIER’s footprint in key markets and territories.
    • Develop and execute strategic distribution plans in collaboration with branches and sales teams to maximize market penetration and revenue generation.
    • Provide ongoing support and guidance to the sales team, assisting with product knowledge, sales strategies, and marketing initiatives to drive sell-through and market share.

    Sales Team Enablement and Training:

    • Collaborate with internal sales teams to provide product training, sales resources, and marketing materials tailored to specific customer segments and market verticals.
    • Conduct regular training sessions, workshops, and product demonstrations to equip sales teams with the knowledge and skills required to effectively promote TIER flooring solutions.
    • Serve as a subject matter expert on TIER products, industry trends, and competitive landscape, offering insights and guidance to support sales efforts and customer interactions.

    Support and Coordination:

    • Act as a central point of contact for TIER category, facilitating communication, coordination, and collaboration between all channel partners and stakeholders.
    • Monitor branch stock levels, procurement, safety stock levels, inbound shipping, and quality assurance to optimize inventory management.

    Customer Engagement and Relationship Management:

    • Conduct regular business reviews, gather feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement to enhance customer experiences and drive long-term loyalty and retention.
    • Proactively engage with branches to address concerns, resolve issues, and deal with warranty claim disputes and resolutions.

    COMPETENCIES:

    • In-depth knowledge of the internal flooring industry, as well as familiarity with installation techniques and best practices.
    • Represent Eva-Last at industry body meetings and feedback recommendations, changes etc.
    • Proven track record of success in product management, with a focus on consultative selling and building long-term relationships with all stake holders.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information in a clear and compelling manner.
    • Strong customer service orientation and a genuine desire to exceed customer expectations, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty.
    • Results-driven mindset with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed targets in a competitive market environment.

    • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business related field is preferred.
    • 5 years experience in product management – indoor flooring or related building products would be preferential.
    • Professional Industry affiliations will be a plus.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
