    IT Infrastructure Support Analyst

    Description

    To provide support services relating to IT infrastructure to users, by investigating and resolving problems to ensure IT infrastructure and business systems are operational and meet availability and performance SLA's in line with the strategic objectives of IT.

    REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    • 5 years of which 3 years must have/be performing similar function i.e. IT systems Administrator or Engineer
    • Solid experience on the following:
    • Windows Server 2012 or above
    • Microsoft Exchange 2016 or above,
    • Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policies
    • VMware vSphere and ESXi Server
    • Experience with BPM, Sage and VIP payroll (Advantage)
    • Microsoft Certified IT Professional training
    • Matric (NQF Level 4) and National Diploma (NQF Level 6) or Bachelor’s degree (NQF Level 7) as essential.
    • Honours or post graduate diploma (NQF Level 8) as an added advantage.

    DESIRED ADDITIONAL SKILLS/ COMPETENCIES

    • Communication skills – good management and technical written and verbal skills essential
    • Ability to solve medium to complex problems.

    KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

    Infrastructure Management

    • Install and configure software and hardware
    • Manage network servers and technology tools
    • Set up accounts and workstations
    • Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
    • Troubleshoot issues and outages
    • Ensure security through access controls, backups, anti-virus and firewalls
    • Upgrade systems with new releases and models
    • Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
    • Capacity planning for the CEF infrastructure.
    • Manage and administer the storage environment.
    • Manage the virtualized server environment
    • Manage racking systems and cabling
    • Assist with architecting, implementing and managing storage systems, including SAN and NAS devices
    • Provide technical documentation on the SAN environment
    • Ensure compliance to all information security policies and procedures
    • Perform monthly reports on telephone usage

    Helpdesk Support

    • Log calls and assign problems to the relevant IT personnel
    • Resolve problems regarding the desktop environment, inclusive of PC hardware and software, desk phones, network support (switches, wireless), Video Conferencing, and printers.
    • Install and configure user devices such as laptop, tablets, and printers
    • Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications
    • Unlock user accounts
    • Install phone devices and configure changes for new users.

    IT procurement and Finance

    • Develop scope of work for procurement of IT goods or services
    • Create requisitions on BPM.
    • Prepare invoices for payment and submit to finance

    Backups

    • Provide assistance with Disaster Recovery Solution
    • Perform backups of workstations and servers using Veeam and Cibecs
    • Perform daily monitoring and management of the backups.
    • Monitor backup jobs, execute restore jobs, troubleshoot failed jobs, and initiate corrective action.
    • Prepare backup tapes for offsite storage, this include packaging, labelling, tape rotation, and backup register.
    • Update backup procedure manual as and when required

    IT Asset inventory

    • Keep updated IT assets inventory
    • Record all IT assets movements
    • Complete transfer forms and update IT assets register

    Access Control and CCTV

    • Ensure that CCTV and access control maintenance activities are performed
    • Visitor access management
    • Implement relevant upgrades to CCTV and Access Control systems as and when required.
    • Ensure the infrastructure has been allocated sufficient resources to maintain the proper running of the systems

    Network Management

    • Ensure that the network switches and network routers/equipment remain fully operational.
    • Manage the WAN network.
    • Assist in the implementation of major network upgrades (switched, servers, routers etc).
    • Management of the wireless environment.
    • Firewall management.
    • Implementation and ongoing administration of monitoring alerts and creating periodic uptime and problem reports.
    • KEMP load balancer administration.

    Email Security Management

    • Exchange server administration duties.
    • Perform email archiving and security duties.
    • Implementation of email archiving and security solutions.
    • Renewal of SSL and domain renewals.

    Facilities Coordinator

    Description

    The primary role of the facilities coordinator is to arrange and manage departmental activities, thereby ensuring the seamless functioning of the physical facilities. Additionally, they are tasked with overseeing document management for the organization.

    REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    • 5 years’ experience of which 3 years’ experience performing similar functions.
    • Matric and National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Business Administration 
    • BTech Degree/Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) in related field as an added advantage.

    DESIRED ADDITIONAL SKILLS/ COMPETENCIES

    • Time management.
    • Work under pressure.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Understanding of purchasing processes.
    • Understanding of maintenance planning.
    • Understanding of maintenance practices for building systems and maintenance (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc).
    • Understanding of waste management.
    • Sound understanding of document management.

    KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

     Maintenance coordination

    • Receive and assess repair request and schedule for the repaid to be conducted.
    • Coordinate the repair and maintenance schedule and ensure that relevant consumables are procured for items to be maintained.
    • Conduct ad hoc inspection of facilities and identify items that need to be repaired or serviced and schedule accordingly.
    • Capture monthly report on maintenance activities and submit to Group Facilities Manager.

     Document Management

    • Receive, sort, record and distribute all incoming and outgoing mail in line with internal procedures.
    • Receive, sort, record and distribute all incoming documents.
    • Responsible for the sorting, indexing, boxing and labelling of documentation for off-site archiving.
    • Arrange for the movement of relevant documents to off-site facility.
    • Identify records that need to be destroyed based on reaching the end of its usefulness (based on policy) and organise for the documents to be destroyed.
    • Responsible for compiling board and committee packs.

    Delivery and collection coordination

    • Receive request for delivery or collection of documents or people and arrange accordingly.
    • Liaise with outsourced shuttle service provider or courier in cases where internal delivery team is unable to assist.

    General Facilities

    • Communicate cleaning schedule and monitor the effective execution thereof.
    • Conduct facility inspections by checking the cleanliness of bathrooms, common areas and meeting rooms and check that meeting rooms consumables are stocked and there is enough boiled water in the flasks.

    Fleet Management

    • Monitor fleet service plans and schedule service according to intervals.
    • Responsible for ensuring fleet’s licensing is up to date by monitoring licence disc expiry and conducting its renewal.
    • Ensure compliance to internal procedures.

    Facility Management

    • Coordinate and the building functional requirements.
    • Responsible for ensuring office spaces are setup properly.
