    Graduate Civil Engineer - Midrand

    Key duties and responsibilities will include:

    • This is the entry level in the consulting stream.
    • The employee has basic skills in core technical areas and a team player.
    • Works with specific and regular direction from intermediate and senior staff.
    • Makes decisions only in limited situations with direction from intermediate and senior staff.
    • Contributes to projects with a major focus on data collection and processing.
    • Work is reviewed by direct supervisor or project manager.
    • Providing tailings services and technical input on moderate complex tailings challenges to clients (internal) on projects within the mining industry.
    • Using advanced techniques, modifications and extension of theories, practices to synthesise and analyse data for decision making / recommendations.
    • Analysing tailings and geotechnical reporting for projects which may include the design and inspection of mine waste storage facilities, the construction of tailings deposits, the operation and management of deposits, properties and behaviour of tailings, closure and deposits stability and seeping analysis and water storage dams and earthworks.
    • Understands and follows company health & safety policy and procedures.
    • Participating in training activities with a continuous learning attitude.

    Qualifications

    Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

    • Relevant degree (BEng or BSc) in Civil Engineering with 1 to 2 years working experience.
    • Honors degree (BEng or BSc) in the Geotechnical field preferred.
    • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel (Advanced), MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, MS Projects
    • Additional software skills which are preferred include slope stability analysis, seepage analysis and modelling software. Proficiency in other engineering related software will be considered beneficial.

    Treasury Administrator - Midrand

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Daily and Weekly:

    • Download of bank balances and transactions
    • Process bank transaction for daily processing
    • Provide accounts receivable
    • Clear all payments initiated from banks
    • Load and release electronic transfers
    • Load and release electronic transfers of vendor/employee payable transactions, standing orders and other payments
    • Bank reconciliations of All Bank Accounts
    • Prepare and update Cash Flow forecast
    • Load electronic transfers for release
    • Bank reconciliations of All Bank Accounts  

    Monthly:

    • Bank reconciliations of all bank accounts
    • Pay card reconciliations.
    • Reconciliation of Business Credit Cards
    • Ensure that all expenses have been cleared on AP.
    • Any other tasks as requested by the Finance Manager

    Other:

    • Ensure adherence to internal controls.
    • Liasing with revenue authorities across Africa to transfer funds.
    • Issuing and recording of payments for as hoc reimbursements
    • Maintain and ensure Bank Mandates correctly reflect the current authorities.
    • Prepare and submit documentation for new credit card holders and new bank operators as and when required.
    • Identify process deficiencies and suggest any improvement in consultation with Finance Manager
    • Any other tasks as requested by the Finance Manager

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

    • Formal accounting qualification plus 3 – 5 years’ experience.
    • Advance excel skills.
    • Exposure to operating in other African countries (outside SA) advantageous.
    • Ability to deal with senior management and respond to queries accordingly.
