    Instructional Designer

    Required Academic Qualification

    • A Honours degree in related field (e.g. Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, Educational Technology, Academic Development or Computer-integrated Education), OR
    • An honours-level qualification in any academic discipline with proven experience in applying instructional design techniques to course development within the online/blended learning environment.

    Required    Experience

    • Minimum of 2 years’ appropriate experience.

    Required Competencies

    • Knowledge of learning theories and teaching and assessment strategies within online learning environment.
    • Knowledge of learning management systems, authoring tools and related educational technology tools.
    • Demonstrable ability to apply appropriate storyboarding, authoring and visual designing or similar software tools (e.g. Articulate 360, Rise, Photoshop, Illustrator or similar software) to develop online learning material.
    • Advanced skills in writing effective copy, instructional text and audio/video scripts.
    • High level of organisational and leadership skills.
    • Ability to work as a team member and across organizational levels.
    • Effective negotiation and conflict management skills.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to multi-task within a tight deadline environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop, implement and manage the project plan for online courseware development including conceptualisation, design, development, production, quality assurance and upload on LMS.
    • Develop, craft, modify and organize content, activities, and assessments in accordance with specified learning objectives and anticipated outcomes.
    • Develop outlines, storyboards, scenarios, scripts and simulations that meet quality standards for online courses.
    • Support and provide guidance to faculty on the adoption of international best practices in online course design including the incorporation of assessment in course design.
    • Collaborate with and project manage team members and university stakeholders to develop student orientation module, facilitators’ guide, PowerPoints and multimedia material for effective online teaching and learning.
    • Lead the curation of open educational resources (OER) and virtual learning resources (VLR) to support the development of online courses that are stimulating and engaging for students.
    • Lead and support the development and adoption of appropriate quality assurance process for online learning including course design rubrics, course evaluation and review, and statutory and regulatory compliance checks.
    • Conduct professional development need analysis for faculty members, and lead the design and presentation of necessary intervention through online resources, workshops, seminars and webinars.
    • Identify, evaluate and recommend appropriate software and technological tools as may be required for effective delivery of online learning.
    • Develop, manage and update training library, user manuals, standard operating procedures, training manuals, FAQ and online training modules to support learning material development and online learning broadly.
    • Provide mentoring and ongoing support to Junior Instructional designers in their online learning design roles including pedagogical and technical professional development.
    • Perform other duties that may be assigned.

    Learning Technologies Analyst

    Required Academic Qualification

    • A Honour’s degree in Educational Technology, Computer-integrated Education, Information Technology or related field.

    Required Experience           

    • 2 years’ hands-on experience with new and emerging educational technologies including learning/content management system; web-based collaboration software and multimedia technologies broadly.
    • 2 years’ experience in supporting online learning/technology enabled learning tools such as Moodle, Canvass, etc. through a helpdesk software or support ticket system.

     Responsibilities

    • Participate in course design and development process as it relates to the incorporation of educational technology tools into learning materials, production of multimedia resources, uploading of learning materials onto the LMS and quality testing before course deployment.
    • Advise on the appropriate educational technology tools to be deployed during course development.
    • Provide guidance during course design on the LMS/Educational technologies support/systems implementation implications which may impact on technical support during course delivery.
    • Curate/create and ensure the proper integration of virtual reality resources, multimedia and dynamic content in learning materials that provide enriching learning experience to students.
    • Lead the coordination, implementation and support for technical operations within the online distance learning environment including Proctoring tools, Learning management system (LMS) and Content management system (CMS).
    • Collaborate with relevant support units in the maintenance routine of software and hardware assets, including updates, patches, upgrades, recovery and deployment.
    • Provide appropriate support for students and faculties in fully online courses across all departments and programmes.
    • Research, evaluate and recommend new educational technologies for adoption in online course development and delivery.
    • Conduct, in collaboration with course production teams, educational technologists and faculty, analysis of the educational technology training needs for students and faculty.
    • Lead the development and implementation of training solutions for ODL students and faculty as it relates to educational technology tools and usage policies.
    • Lead the development and update of user manuals, standard operating procedures, training manuals, FAQ and online modules for new technologies to ensure relevance, integrity and accuracy.
    • Develop and maintain a training Library to support the proficient utilization of educational technology.

    Project Management Practitioner

    Required Academic Qualification

    • Bachelor's degree / Advanced Diploma / B. Tech degree on NQF level 7 in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field.
    • Project management certification would be an advantage.

    Required Experience

    • Minimum of 2 years' experience in project management, with demonstrable evidence of successful project delivery in a team environment.

    Director: Organisational Development And Talent Management

    Minimum Requirements:

    Manager: Talent Sourcing and Operations

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Honour’s Degree (NQF Level 8) in Human Resources Management, OR Psychology, OR Industrial Psychology, OR related field.
    • 7 years’ Experience in Human Resource Management, including sourcing and selection of employees across all levels of the organisation and enhancing performance management practices.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement an integrated talent acquisition strategy aligned with organisational goals.
    • Oversee end-to-end recruitment processes including workforce planning, job profiling, advertising, shortlisting, interviewing, selection, and offer management.
    • Provide input into the organisation’s recruitment and selection policies and procedures and monitor the adherence to these policies and procedures.
    • Establish and advise on latest trends around talent acquisition and sourcing.
