    Job Summary

    • This role involves managing all customer transactions accurately and efficiently. The position is responsible for processing payments, handling cash, greeting customers, and issuing correct receipts and change.
    • The successful candidate will also maintain a clean and orderly checkout area and assist with general store duties, including stocking shelves, pricing items, and conducting stock takes.

    Responsibilities and Duties 

    • Bag, box, wrap merchandise and prepare packages for shipment
    • Compute and record transactions
    • Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change
    • Sort, count and wrap notes and coins
    • Establish or identify prices of goods and tabulate bills using calculators, cash registers or optical scanners
    • Greet customers entering establishments
    • Issue receipts, refunds, credits or change due to customers
    • Keep periodic balance sheets of amounts and numbers of transactions
    • Receive payment by cash or card
    • Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas
    • Stock shelves and mark prices on shelves and items
    • Do stock takes

    Qualifications and Skills 

    • Matric / Grade 12
    • Computer literate
    • Previous cashier experience
    • Ability to work with money

    • This role involves providing efficient administrative and open operational support, ensuring a smooth day-to-day functioning of the branch by managing documentation, coordinating communication, supporting financial and client- related processes and maintaining accurate records in line with company procedures.

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Matric / Grade 12
    • 3–5 years’ experience in an administrative role covering finance and HR support
    • Relevant diploma (Finance / Administration / HR) (advantageous)
    • Previous experience working on an accounting or ERP system(advantageous)
    • Proficient in MS Office suite
    • Good numerical and reconciliation ability
    • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
    • Strong organisational and time management skills
    • Ability to work independently and take ownership of multiple functions
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Fluent in English
